Tonsils are normal lymphoid organs present in our mouth -oropharynx to safeguard our aerodigestive tract from infections which will normally regress in size in adolescence disappear in adults. If it present even in adults it represents chronic source of infection from nose, dental, oral tissues. It has to be evaluated first before you plan for tonsillectomy. I am suffering from cold and one side nose blocked it means one side not clearing breathing. Can you suggest what should I do.

BHMS
Homeopath, Raebareli
Please take Bryonia 200 – once daily for next 3-4 days. Drink plenty of warm fluids. Drinking warm fluids helps to loosen the secretions in your sinuses so that your mucus flows more freely, making you feel better faster. Studies show that drinking warm fluids relieves cold symptoms such as runny nose, cough, sneezing, sore throat, and fatigue.

I have nose bleeding problem. Every year in summer or winter I face this problem. What should I do to prevent this problem or the situation?

PGFCP, PGDEMS, Bachelor Of Ayurvedic Medicine And Surgery
Ayurveda, Satara
HI. This problem is due to increased amount of abnormal pitta dosha (heat) in a rakta (blood) dhatu. And because of this strength of capillaries in the nose decreases and they rupture consequently bleeding occurs. You have to follow some basic things, so that you get better results in a short period of time 1) take solid diet two times in a day and liquid diet two times in a day 2) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals 3) don’t drink water before meal for one hour and one hour after meal 4) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods 5) avoid late night sleeping habits. 6) avoid day time sleeping. A) take 50 ml of AUDUMBARAVLEHA and 15 ml of honey along with 50 ml of lukewarm water early in the morning and at night before sleep. Along with this take 2-2 tablets of RAKTASTAMBHAK VATI (dhootpapeshwar company). B) take 2-2 tablets of MADHUMALINI VASANT and SUTSHEKHAR VATI after meals. C) instill 4-4 drops of CHANDAN BALA LAKSHYADI tail in each nostrils two times in a day. Do all these things for 7 days. This formulation is 100% effective, THANKS.

Average normal heart rate varies from 60 to 84 any thing more than that needs attention but these mobile sensors are not very accurate you check it manually and if it is more than 90 then can consult a physician to get investigated mental tension stress strain anxiety all these things can effect your hear rate

All You Need To Know About Cochlear Implant

All You Need To Know About Cochlear Implant

Are you experiencing severe hearing loss or turning deaf? To get back your normal hearing, you should undertake a cochlear. It is a small device which is planted in your ear via a surgical procedure. It sends impulses to the auditory nerve directly and as a result, sound signals are carried to your brain. Such an implant does not make you hear like normal again, but it helps you with sounds and knowing sounds around you such as telephones, alarms and doorbells.

How Does Cochlear Implant Work?

Cochlear implant is meant for adults and children who have sensorineural hearing loss. This is a condition which damages the tiny hair cells in the inner ear known as the cochlea. Your hearing gets impaired when these are damaged. A cochlear implant sends signals to the auditory nerve directly by skipping the damaged hair cells.

The device has two distinct parts. One part is the receiver-stimulator which is placed under the skin via surgery. The other part is the speech processor, which is worn around the back of the ear like a hearing aid. The outside device is, however, bigger in size than a hearing aid.

The receiver is placed under the skin, behind the ear through a small incision and it gets connected to electrodes. This is put into the cochlea of the inner ear. The surgery takes about some hours to be completed.

Two weeks after the surgery, the speech processor is fitted by the doctor. You will have to wear a microphone behind your ear. The processor can be connected to the microphone and worn around the ear. It can also be worn at any other place of the body, depending on your age and lifestyle.

Advantages of Cochlear Implant-

The major advantages of a cochlear implant are as follows:

  1. You may be able to hear speech at an almost normal level.

  2. You may understand speech without the help of lip reading.

  3. It will be easy for you to talk on the phone and listen to the television.

  4. Your experience of listening to music will improve.

  5. You will be able to pick up different sounds starting from soft, medium to loud sounds.

  6. You can also control your own voice in a better way, which will make it easier for others to understand you.

A cochlear implant can be a life changing device if you suffer from serious hearing loss. The results are not the same for everyone and vary from person to person. Some people may benefit more than others.

Sir can you please suggest what are the cause and prevention and treatment of nasal bleeding n what is the other term...
Nasal bleed is called epistaxis. Common causes are- Allergic rhinitis, exposure to dry air for long, sinusitis, blowing of nose, Trauma etc Treatment depends whether bleed is anterior or posterior. Make the perdon bend forwards and pinch nose for 5/10 minutes .usually bleeding stops. Anterior packing may be required. For posterior bleeds ,too packing is required by a doctor. For prevention, Use humidifiers, if dryness is excessive dryness-use saline nasal drops or vase line. Do not blow vigorously. Get checked by ENT doc to rule out other causes.

Yes he can use tablet Tinnex but he may not get benefit, as few drugs are capable of controlling tinnitus. Consult a good ENT surgeon / audiologist for audiological investigations and non pharmacological therapy of tinnitus.

What is the difference between rhinoplasty and nose surgery I have left blocked nostril which is suitable for me.
Rhinoplasty is nothing but nose reshaping surgery. If you have a blocked nose then probably you should consider septoplasty which corrects the deviated septum of the nose.
