Hello, bow legs defined as lateral angulation of knee cause can be due to growth abnormalities, development disorders, metabolic disorders like rickets etc. Scoliosis can be postural or non postural. Depending upon your posture curvature of body it's hard to manage your defense services. But you can improve your spine curvature by doing regularly exercises. Exercise or yoga can improve your muscular strength, endurance and improve stamina.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: take mag phos 12x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and ice packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately.

Hello lybrate user, back pain in a young patient such as yourself would alert me towards the possibility of an infection such as tuberculosis or other bacteria. Infection is usually associated with fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight, etc. Other causes may be trauma leading to a soft tissue injury or a bony fracture. Some patients might also be suffering from slip disc. Other rare causes could be spinal deformity, tumors, etc. But to arrive at an accurate diagnosis you need to go through a clinical assessment by a qualified orthopaedician or a spine surgeon. Hello, kindly follow advises given below 1. Avoid using computers continuously, take rest for 5 min after working for half an hour 2. In pain free interval do neck exercise (kindly learn exercise by registered trainer) 3. You can use thin pillow while sleeping so that normal posture of neck can be maintained 4. Maintain proper posture of body while watching tv/ studying kindly go for cervical x ray ap and lateral and review with reports consult orthopeditian for further management.

Hi. Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? any underlying medical condition? the pain in legs can be because of - muscle cramps (due to tiredness or dehydration), shin splints (doing activity over and over on hard surfaces can bring this on. You may also be more likely to get shin splints if you have flat feet or your feet turn outward. Rest your legs to feel better. Ice helps), tendinitis (you can get it from overworking the calf muscle or climbing the stairs, apply ice to get some relief), sprains (do rest, ice, compression & elevation). Other causes are varicose veins, arterial disease, sciatica, diabetic neuropathy. Medication: meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - arnica 200 and rhus tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply schwabe's topi-arnica and topi mp gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it. Get back to me thereafter.

Hi I can understand your problem. The pain is due to nerve compression at lumber region but still clinical examination is needed. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold foementation. # change sleeping position. # use lumber support. Hi Can you tell me whether you have sustained any injury to the affected elbow? also apart from swelling, is there any skin redness, local warmth, fever etc also? please send me a clinical picture of the affected part and please get blood tests done empty stomach especially if there is no h/o and injury to the affected shoulder: cbc, esr, crp, serum uric acid.

I have undergone a surgery (hip replacement along with 50% of my right femur) for recurrence of giant cell tumor at proximal femur & a mid shaft in the femur bone marrow. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Low bone density has many causes: it is common in females after menopause because of hormonal changes, in both sexes bone density decreases with increasing age because bone degradation is more as compared to formation. It is also secondary to many diseases like diabetes, thyroid disorders and many more smokers have low density, so there are various reasons for it. Medically it is advisable to keep yourself physically fit, so regular exercises and walks is important as it leads to good bone turnover and keeps bones healthy, adequate calcium and vitamin d in body is important for bone metabolism. Also diets rich in calcium like milk and milk products, fresh fruits and vegetables etc should be taken. . Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

I am 29 Year Male, I am having pain in my both leg while walking for around 1 Km and above, I observed that the nerves between my knees and toes got swollen up and the blood circulation disrupted resulting in tremendous pain. I have hypothyroidism discovered 2 years back and when I consulted doctor recently he increased my thyroid tablet thyronorm from 100 mcg to 125 mcg, even after that I have got no relief while walking. Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Drink more water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. You can take Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid oily foods,junk foods, go for walk. Tests every 3 to 6 months.
