U r most probably suffering from pcod. Perods will come like this in pcod. If you take medicines, it will come regular for same period and then again same story. There is no need to take medicines to get ir regular as it will be same story again next month once you stop medicines. Mainstay of treatment of pcod is weight reduction and everything will fall in place. Primary objective of your treatment is weight reduction and maintain normal bmi of 18-25. This will regularize the monthly cycles and also help you get pregnant in future. You can take metformin to reduce weight. Also diet and jogging or brisk walk for 4-5 km daily will help. Diet should comprise of more protein (chicken, fish, pulses) low carbohydrate (rice) and low fat or oil and more vegetables.

Hello, get a triple marker test done at 16th week and at 20th week, get a level 2 scan done. Circumvallate placenta may have complications such as preterm birth, preterm rupture of membranes and placental abruption. Do not get worried, visit your obstetrician regularly and get monthly ultrasounds.

There are 30 per cent chances that you shall develop gestational diabetes again in next pregnancy as well as you have been gdm in last pregnancy. Gdm is not the cause of secondary infertility for sure. Please feel free to discuss further in detail. Regards.

Anorgasmia - Causes + Symptoms

Anorgasmia - Causes + Symptoms

What is anorgasmia?
The reduced ability to orgasm or the inability to orgasm post sufficient stimulation is called anorgasmia. This disorder is quite common in women. In fact, most women cannot orgasm with vaginal stimulation alone. Some require clitoral stimulation by rubbing or oral sex.

What are the types of anorgasmia?

  1. Generalized anorgasmia: Orgasms are not achieved with any partner, be it in any situation
  2. Lifelong anorgasmia: No orgasms have ever been felt
  3. Acquired anorgasmia: You have climaxed before but due to certain factors, be it emotional or physical, you have stopped getting orgasms
  4. Situational anorgasmia: Here you may have been able to orgasm before but only in certain positions or a particular partner.

What may cause anorgasmia?
Orgasms can be complex things. It involves the combination of physical, emotional and psychological factors. Anorgasmia can occur if any of the above is affected.

Physical causes

  1. Medical illnesses: Diseases such as diabetes or multiple sclerosis can result in anorgasmia.
  2. Medications: Medicines, for example, antidepressants, anti- histamines, cardio-vascular agents can meddle with climaxes.
  3. Smoking and Alcohol: Excessive alcohol consumption can mess with the ability to peak; smoking constraints the blood vessels, thus having a similar impact on both the sexes.
  4. Gynaecologic issues: Surgeries such as hysterectomy or surgeries of carcinoma can hamper with the capacity to accomplish climaxes.

Mental Causes:

  1. Poor self-perception
  2. Embarrassment
  3. Anxiety or dejection
  4. Financial issues and stress
  5. Fear of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) or pregnancy
  6. Past passionate or sexual mishandle

Relationship issues

  1. Fights or clashes in the relationship
  2. No fascination toward the partner
  3. Lack of association
  4. Infidelity
  5. Poor association with partner in regards to sexual needs

What are the symptoms of anorgasmia?
The symptom of anorgasmia is the inability to achieve orgasms in spite of sufficient sexual stimulation. It could be because of your partner or because of the position that does not really hit your spot. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a sexologist.

Reasons and Risks of Amputation - HARD FACTS

MS - General Surgery, MBBS
General Surgeon, Delhi
Reasons and Risks of Amputation - HARD FACTS

Roadside accidents are common and they lead to many health problems in which some may require amputation for removal of one of the limbs to save the life of a person.

Amputation is a life-saving procedure by which a part of the body that has suffered irreversible damage is surgically removed. Amputation is only carried out as a last resort when the infection/ decay spread to the other parts of the body.

Why is this procedure needed?

The most common cause of amputation is blockage of blood circulation. Without blood, the tissues do not get oxygen and begin to decay, and an amputation is carried out to stop the damage from spreading to other tissues. As stated above, an amputation is carried out only as a last resort. The surgeon checks the infected part for the following to make sure that an amputation is required:

  • Sensation
  • Circulation
  • Checking for a pulse close to the region where the cut is to be performed
  • Comparing skin temperatures with the affected limb

The surgeon tries to bypass arterial blood from the nearest artery to the affected region to rejuvenate the cells. Some reasons of amputation are:

  • Severe injury (extreme burns/ vehicular accidents)
  • Cancerous tumor in the bone or muscle
  • Serious infection, which has stopped responding to antibiotics
  • Thickening of nerve tissue called neuroma
  • Frostbite

Risks and complications of amputation

Risk of complication is lower in planned amputations than in emergency amputations. In the case of a planned amputation, the surgeon will shape individual muscles for future prosthetic limbs, smooth out rough bones and bone fragments and take care of all the loose ends of the procedure. In emergency amputations, however, the limb is amputated very fast and bleeding is stopped as soon as possible. The following complications may arise as a result of amputation procedures:

  • Heart complications
  • Venous blood clots
  • Slow wound healing or infection of the wound
  • Pneumonia
  • Stump or "phantom limb" pain
  • Psychological problems

Tip: Did you know about this simple cure for ovarian fibroids?
