Yesterday I took 8 cups of Coffee And Now I'm getting Loose Stools What Should I do?

General Physician,
Drinking coffee can stimulate peristalsis, the process in the digestive tract that makes us head for the bathroom. It is a normal side effect. Eat some high potassium foods, such as bananas, potatoes without the skin, and fruit juices. Drink ORS.

Why we get the white hair on head at young age like at 17 or 16 year of age answer.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
• Graying or whitening of hair earlier than expected usually runs in the family. • Long periods under stress due to work intensity and tension. • A serious disease like typhoid can also act as the catalyst for graying of hair. • Intake of too much of alcohol, tea and coffee can cause graying of hair as well. • Eating too many oily and fried foods is another reason for graying of hair. • Using excessive amount of spices in your food. • Integrating too many food items that are sour and acidic in your diet. • Not having essential nutrients like copper in your food can also cause grey hair as melanin’s production gets hit due to the deficiency. • Lack of Vitamin C and Vitamin B in your diet.

How to Deal with Stress of Raising a Child with Special Needs?

General Physician, Jammu
How to Deal with Stress of Raising a Child with Special Needs?

Parenting in the recent past has become extremely stressful than what it used to be a couple of generations earlier. This stress has increased manifold if the child has special needs. Be it a physical or an emotional disability, the caretaker has a lot of additional responsibilities when raising a child with special needs. Also bringing up such a child is extremely rewarding in the long run, when you see them accomplish things in life, for which your contribution is far greater than in normal children.

Read on to for some guidance on how to manage a child with special need.

  1. Understand the problem your child is facing: The problem may become evident prenatally, at birth, or sometimes it will reveal itself as the child grows up. Whatever the case, once identified, understand the various issues it brings along. This is true especially in case of syndromes like Down's or learning disabilities, which have more implications. Review the medical history thoroughly with the doctor to understand the child better and play your role better.
  2. Supportive community: There are a lot of supportive communities, which will consist of similar people and so a lot of mutual support and help would be available. The emotional components of empathy and sympathy play an equally important role here.
  3. Let’s face it: Caring for such a child is an ongoing process. The sooner this fact is accepted, the easier the journey will be. The children need to be reassured that they are not alone, they are differently perfect, they need to forgive themselves, to not be hard on themselves, and not to lose heart. The parent and the caretakers also need to realize that it is like a never-ending marathon and bracing up for this long haul is very important. There might be times when mistakes happen, tough decisions are taken, and you have to be hard on the child and yourself. However, don’t lose heart and encourage both the child and yourself. It is okay for these slips to happen, just accept them.
  4. Live for today: On a daily basis, forgive small wrongs both for your child and yourself. Trust your instincts, celebrate the little wins, don’t compare your child to anybody else, and protect him from getting bullied. The child needs to be told that you are unique and special and to set your own pace and compete against yourself. Work on your sense of humor and get professional help for both the child’s needs and your additional responsibilities.

While the stress of caring for a child with special needs is quite high, these are very small and simple ways to deal with the stress of raising a child with special needs. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a general physician.

Sir I have oily n pimples face so sir how do I prevent the pimples to come on my face n how to close my face cause by pimples? Thanks.

Dermatologist, Mumbai
Hi. Acne is an inflammatory skin problem affecting the oil glands on face. Acne needs to be treated so that it does not leave any pigmentation or scars. It is important to find the cause of acne and treat accordingly. Causes may include hormonal, use of cosmetics, unhealthy diet and life style or oral medications for some other medical problem. Treatment would be use of a mild cleanser and a combination of oral medication and application along with proper nutrition and life style.

I am a girl 19 years old. Since a few days I get irritated at small small things I think too much and that too negative thought is coming into my mind. I am suffering from stomach ache too. I do not know whether its evil eye or what but I also get blackout at times.

MBBS, MD (AIIMS, Gold Medalist), Diploma in CBT (Glasgow)
Psychiatrist, Delhi
Hi lybrate-user, thank you for your question. Once in a while, these kinds of symptoms may be seen in normal people for a few days, particularly of there is a disturbing event. But if this is continuing for long, it could be a sign of depression. In order to clarify things, I think few blood tests as well as physical evaluation will be needed. Please get a thyroid profile, complete hemogram, vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels done. It may be a good idea to see a mental health expert along with these reports. In any case, it seems that the problem can be easily treated and there is nothing really to be worried about. Get some physical exercise going and make sure to eat healthy and on time, drink lot of water and sleep properly. Yoga and meditation can be of additional help. Take care!

Hi Premature hair and beard greying. Male, age 28, weight: 85, height: 5, 10' problem since child hood, now getting worse.

PG Hom, London, BHMS
Homeopath, Mumbai
Hi , if premature greying if hair is common in the family, the chances that you will have normal black hair is less. Also since you have been facing this problem since childhood makes the prognosis even worse. Still you can try taking multi vitamin tablets and apply keratex hair oil at least twice a week. I have seen good results with this hair oil.

You get periods earlier then expected after taking unwanted 72, you can be assured that pregnancy has not taken place. A very common side effect of taking Unwanted 72 is significant alteration in periods – they can either be early or be delayed. Most women will experience withdrawal bleeding at the scheduled or expected dates, while some may get menses within 5 days.
