I'm suffering from asthma since 7years. Please suggest me any medicine related to the same. Is there any permanent precaution?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello. Asthma is thought to be caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Medication: Bronchitis/ Asthma can be treated with homoeopathic medicines completely, only need to be regular with the medication and avoid those foods/ things to which you are allergic to for sometime. Keep taking your already on going medication, reduce it gradually and slowly once homoeopathic starts acting. Take Bakson's Astha-Aid drops/ 10-15 drops in 1/2 cup water/ thrice d day for 1 month. Report me back after a month.

The Best Natural Way To Clear Your Lungs Of Nicotine and Tar

We are all aware that smoking is harmful to health and is often the main cause of cancer.

However, if you cannot quit smoking, there are several ways to clear the lungs from the tar and to reduce the risk of infections. Even though there is no magic formula that will cleanse the respiratory organs of nicotine, tar and other harmful ingredients of cigarettes, certain foods may help you a little to purify the lungs.

Maize is a food that contains beta cryptoxanthin, which is believed that can protect lung cancer, because it is a powerful antioxidant. However, consume only fresh corn.

Selenium is very powerful antioxidant too. Brazil nuts are the best source of selenium in food, and it is good to eat grains as well.

The onion is also a good lungs cleanser. Onion can be of great help to prevent many diseases, including lung infections. In cases of people who already have cancer, it prevents the growth of new cells.

Ginger, as a natural medicine and food, helps in the defense against malignant diseases. It is another strong tool for the release of toxins from the lungs. You can consume the tea of ginger root, since it facilitates breathing. Also, you can consume a piece of ginger can consume with meals.

Oranges contain cryptoxanthin which has a preventive effect against lung cancer.

Nettle is a plant full of iron, but it is also very useful as a means of disinfection of lungs and has an important role in the fight against infections.

Tea of pine needles is traditionally used for rinsing the mouth and throat, but can also be a good ally in the fight against lung cancer.

My grandma has an severe asthma she was very sick and also not recognizing us. How the asthma can be reduced.

Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology, DNB (Respiratory Diseases)
Pulmonologist, Thane
Your grandma not recognising you all is not because of asthma. Considering the condition it seems it would be prudent to go for nebulisations at home instead of inhalers. Consult a chest physician so that he can adjust the dosage of nebulisations and the medicines. And she will also need a neurological assessment.

Hi , the tuberculosis symptoms should usually subside in 6 weeks and you should start gaining weight. Please have daily 1800 kcal diet and follow up on your body weight every 15 days and make sure it is increasing. It is important to know where was the tb lesion on your ct scan and if required it is to be followed up. You should also get liver function test done. If there is no improvement in symptoms after taking treatment then please discuss with your doctor regarding the possibility of drug resistant tb and this might require change in medicines. Regards,

Is it true that each actuation of inhalers for Asthmatic/COPD patients layers the lungs with their chemical compositions thereby reducing their effectiveness in the long run?

PGDCC, MD(Chest), PG Dip.Clin.Cardiology

Is it true that each actuation of inhalers for Asthmatic/COPD patients layers the lungs with their chemical compositi...
No the body is a dynamic system. All the water and food we take in, is not deposited inside and it is rather metabolized or processed and ultimately excreted outside in the same way all actuations of inhaler medications are metabolized. So the effect is transient for few hours or at the maximum couple of days only.
