I have diabetes type 2 for the last 14 years. My latest blood sugar reading is FBS 137 and PP2 216. HBA1c is around 8. I take a balanced diet without sugar. I also do 30 minutes of brisk walking and another 20 to 30 minutes of exercises daily. The medication taken by me is one tab Gemer 2 and one tab Pioglit 30mg during breakfast, one tab Gemer 2 during lunch and one tablet Tenglyn 20 before bedtime on a daily basis. I wish to know what further steps I need to take to reverse the diabetic condition. I also wish to know the changes if any required in the medication that I am at presently taking.

Hi lybrate-user your sugar levels are ok however it can still be improved. I advise to increase their exercise/medication to 40 minutes. Space the meals and consume lot of vegetables (like cabbage, cucumber, cauliflower etc) do regular meditation wish you good health

I advice you include protein rich food in your diet like soyabean, sattu with milk, eggs, milk and milk products, combination of cereals and pulses, take healthy and heavy breakfast. If you are non vegetarian include eggs chicken and fish in your daily diet. You take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning.

Firstly start eating Triphla chooran in morning with luke warm water empty stomach. Secondly note down the below points to gain benefits: Naturopathy believes that Mother Nature has every remedy for our problems, it believes in preventing the problem instead of just curing it. I am suggesting you some simple lifestyle changing tips that will not just make your body proportionate and give you a desired shape but will also help you obtain a healthy body. You can come over it very easily due to your determination. 1. Make sure you are walking at least 5000 steps every day. It is strongly recommended that you start with a jogging regime. Buy a pedometer to check how much step you walk, its a cheap gadget available in medical shops. 2. You should avoid late night dinners at any cost and make sure you are following a routine while having 3 main course foods of the day. 3. Eat handfull of roasted almond every day. 4. Try having your dinner before sunset and not eat anything heavy after sunset this will surely help you to lose your weight. 5. Try to sleep before 11: 00 P. M. And sleep for minimum 6 to 8 hours. Lack of sleep is also a leading factor of weight gain. 6. Avoid processed food, sugar and its products as well as refined oil/double refined oil. Use pure oil of mustard (sarso), peanut, coconut, cow ghee, sesame. 7. Start doing surya namaskar, its more than a weight loss exercise. From improving your posture, strengthening muscles to whittling extra inches around the waist, the benefits of Suryanamaskar are many, provided you adapt it the right way. A set of 12 fixed, cyclic postures define Suryanamaskar which when performed repeatedly at an easy pace can bring a sense of well being, almost immediately. However, those with a heart condition, arthritis or slip-disk, need their doctor's consent before starting the routine. 8. In the morning start consuming lukewarm water right after you wake up & sitting in sukhasaan (chaukdi) it is advisable to even do rinsing with the lukewarm water in your mouth and drink sip by sip instead of drinking quickly. This process is done for the detoxification and cleaning of your stomach/intestines that has everything to with your weight issues. After this your stomach condition will remain intact at pH7 (which is not alkaline or acidic in nature but normal). 9. Another advice is that don’t drink water after your meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast, or any mini meal). Drink water after 90 minutes. Drinking water after your meals reduces your digestion, and as you know if food is not digested it will produce acid, which in turn will increase your weight. Why is Gynaecologic Laparoscopy so Revolutionary?

Designed to enable a surgeon to look into a woman’s pelvic or abdominal area for diagnosis or treatment, gynaecologic laparoscopy is fast gaining popularity as a minimally invasive procedure for a host of female reproductive health problems. This surgery is also commonly known as keyhole surgery.

In recent times, this form of surgery has begun to replace the conventional open surgery, as the latter poses disadvantages like greater blood loss or infection.

Depending on the purpose of the surgery, Gynaecologic Laparoscopy involves the making of one or more very small incisions (about 5mm in length) in the area that must be treated. Dear to decrease your weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Do running early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 8. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 9. Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice.

A kidney stone is like a small rock that forms in the kidney. Stones form when certain chemicals in the body clump together. A stone can either stay in the kidney or travel through the urinary system by passing though the urine and not causing any harm.

What are the symptoms?

Very small stones might pass through the urinary system without causing much pain. Larger stones can block the flow of urine if they get stuck in the ureters or urethra. Kidney stones do not usually cause any symptoms until they start to pass. Some symptoms might include:

  • Extreme pain in your back or side that will not go away

  • Nausea

  • Blood in your urine

  • Fever and chills

Who are at risk ?

Anyone can have a kidney stone, but it may be more likely if you:

  • Are male and are overweight

  • Have had kidney infections

  • Have a family member with kidney stones

  • Have had kidney stones before

  • Eat a lot of animal protein (such as meat and eggs)

  • Do not drink enough liquids

  • Have certain medicines which can cause kidney stones

How are kidney stones treated?

Treatment depends on the location and size of the kidney stone. Drinking plenty of water and taking some medicines can help a small stone to pass more easily. For problem stones, there may be a few options:

  • Lithotripsy uses shock waves to break a large stone into smaller pieces that can pass.

  • Ureteroscopic Stone Removal uses a small tool to get and remove stones stuck in the ureters.

  • Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy uses surgery to remove large stones from the kidneys.

Depending on the location of the kidney stone and many other factors the doctor decides on the most suitable procedure.

How can I prevent kidney stones?

If you have had kidney stones before, you are more likely to have kidney stones again. To help keep stones from forming, try to:

  • Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water each day

  • Eat less salt (sodium), meat and eggs

  • Find out what type of stone you have

  • Ask your doctor for a urine test

  • Talk to your doctor about your medicines and other tests for kidney stones

Do NOT reduce the calcium in your diet without talking to your doctor first! Studies show that limiting calcium in your diet may not stop kidney stones from forming and may harm your bones.

Ensure that the vegetables are cooked using low fat oil and without adding coconut. Evening Green tea Dinner Start your dinner with any thin soup. MRI or Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a process of reproducing images from the structures & organs of the insides of the body on the computer screen with the help of energy pulses generated from the radio waves using a magnetic field placed inside a special machine.

MRI is used to diagnose various medical conditions like internal injuries or bleeding, rupture of blood vessels & other internal infections. Hi firstly, start doing surya namaskar in morning and start eating triphla chooran (natural medicine) in morning empty stomach with luke warm water. Start a fruit dieting every alternative day, means you have to eat fruits every alternative days & normal fruit every other alternative days. Avoid late night dinners and try to eat nothing after sunset. Sit in vajrasana after every meal you eat for 10 minutes. Walk atleast 30 min in morning.

1. Since it is a Ayurvedic Medicine. Consult an Ayurvedic Doctor before taking this medicine. 2. Avoid taking such medicines without prescription 3. Even after taking you have to check you glucose levels regularly. 4. For diet.. avoid white rice, bananas, mangoes, chickoo, potatoes, colas, sweets, cakes, pastries, biscuits, dates, raisins. Avoid maida based products. 5. You need to have multigrain atta rotis, apples, papaya, guava. 6. Include fiber and whole grains in your diet. 7. Eat sprouts, green salads. 8. Diabetes just means..being careful with diet.. and monitoring your glucose levels. 9. Do light exercise everyday. 10. Do pranayam everyday and you will be fine.

Hi lybrate-user As per your height your weight is on the higher side. You need to lose minimum 15-20 kg. The cholesterol levels would come down once you reduce your weight and fat mass. Start exercising regularly and take good control of your diet. High levels of testosterone can also lead to infertility and are commonly seen in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). So get an ultrasound done to confirm for PCOS. For increasing your Hb Foods rich in iron include: Poultry like chicken and eggs Seafood. Beans. Dark green leafy vegetables, such as spinach. Dried fruit, such as raisins and apricots. Iron-fortified cereals, breads Watermelon Rice Flakes Watermelon seeds To improve your absorption of iron, eat it along with a good source of vitamin C -- such as orange juice, anal juice, guava,broccoli, or strawberries. If you have trouble getting enough iron from food sources, you may need an iron supplement Vitamin B12: Methylcobal 500 mcg twice a day for 2 months Reduce stress, have 8-10 glasses of water, exercise regularly, eat healthy and sleep for minimum 6-7 hours. All these will help you lower down your weight and eventually your cholesterol.

भीतर की शक्ति से ही जीवन चलता है। स्नायु दुर्बलता से भीतर की शक्ति जाती रहती है। स्नायु दुर्बलता के कारण हैं- अनियमित भोजन, चिंता, मद्यपान, अश्लील साहित्य पढ़ना, अश्लील सिनेमा देखना, अन्य गलत आदतें पड़ना, देर रात तक जागना, नींद की गोलियाँ तथा अनावश्यक दवाओं का सेवन करना।

पतन : स्नायु कमजोरी के कारण नपुंसकता और स्वप्नदोष जैसे रोगों का जन्म होता है। इसी कारण अनावश्यक तनाव बना रहेगा और चिड़चिड़ापन रोगी को दिमागी द्वंद्व में उलझा देता है। दिमागी द्वंद्व के कारण रोगी झूठ बोलना, स्वार्थी व नीच बन जाना आदि बुरी आदतों का शिकार हो जाता है।

इस द्वंद्व से भ्रम और संशय की उत्पत्ति होती है। संशय से खुद पर और दूसरों पर विश्वास की कमी होती जाती है। अविश्वास से अच्छे-बुरे को परखने की समझ पर असर पड़ता है। निर्णय क्षमता कमजोर होती है। इसके अलावा कब्ज बनी रहेगी। भूख लगना कम हो जायेगी। दूरदृष्टि कमजोर होने लगेगी आदि। इस तरह रोगी का दिन-प्रतिदिन मानसिक और शारीरिक पतन होता जाता है।

ऐसी स्थिति में ये करें :-
प्रतिबंध : यदि आपको लगता है कि आप इस रोग के शिकार हैं तो तुरंत ही ब्रह्मचर्य और पवित्र रहने के प्रति सक्रिय हो जाएँ। क्रोध करना और देर से सोकर देर से उठने की आदत छोड़ दें। गरिष्ठ भोजन, तली-भुनी चीजें, चाय और कॉफी त्याग दें। तेज धूप, धूल और धुएँ से बचें।

स्नान : स्नान करते वक्त गीले तौलीए से रगड़-रगड़ कर बदन की मालिश करें। स्नान में साबुन की अपेक्षा आयुर्वेदिक सुगंधित उबटन का उपयोग करें। स्नान के बाद 15-20 मिनट की योग-निद्रा या ध्यान करें। ध्यान करने से आँखों की थकान और दुर्बलता समाप्त होगी।

आहार : पहले बदलें अपना आहार और इसका पालन करें कम से कम पूरे एक वर्ष तक। शुरुआत में एक माह तक सिर्फ फलाहार और दूध लें। दूध में शहद तथा भीगे हुए बादाम या किशमिश का प्रयोग कर सकते हैं। बाद में 8-10 बादाम, 25 दाने किशमिश तथा 7-8 मनुक्के भिगोकर नाश्ते में लें। फिर हरी सब्जी और छिलकों वाली दाल का उपयोग पतली चपाती के साथ करें। चपाती मक्खन या मलाई के साथ लें। भोजन में सलाद का भरपूर उपयोग और प्याज, लहसुन तथा अदरक का संतुलित सेवन करें। 

योग पैकेज : नियमित योगासनों का अभ्यास और प्रतिदिन आधे घंटे योग-निद्रा करना इसकी मुख्य चिकित्सा है। योगासनों में प्रारंभ में कमर चक्रासन, जानुशिरासन, सुप्तवज्रासन, भुजंगासन, हलासन, हस्तपादोत्तनासन, योगमुद्रा, पवनमुक्तासन तथा मकरासन करें। फिर धीरे-धीरे खुली और स्वच्छ हवा में नाड़ी शोधन प्राणायम का अभ्यास करें। तब कपालभाति तथा भ्रामरी का अभ्यास करें। बंधों में उड्डियान बंध लगाएँ। सप्ताह में एक बार तेल मालिश अवश्य कराएँ। यह सब करें किसी योग्य योग चिकित्सक की सलाह पर।

Dear excessive dieting also cause obesity. Excessive weight gain occurs only when calories intake are more than calories burnt, It can put a person at risk of thyroid disease, diabetes , kidney problems, arthritis etc... Dear to decrease weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach daily. 3. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 4. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 5. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 6. Do brisk walk early morning 2km daily and join aerobics in evening. 7. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 8. Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice. 9. Drink three litres of water daily. 10 Take 2 tab medohar guggul and 2 tab triphala guggul / baidyanath twice a day after meals with luke warm water/ 1 month.
