Apply keshkanti oil, for more Massage butter oil into your scalp and hair daily before your shower. Eat sesame. Regularly wash hair with a gram flour and milk/curd mixture. Rub hair regularly with onion paste, and it will turn black. Take a multivitamin containing minerals like zinc and copper, which prevent premature graying.

Rosemary essential oil has been traditionally used to increase circulation to the scalp. Add a few drops per dollop of shampoo or, better yet, add a few drops of rosemary to coconut oil and massage your scalp regularly.

Symptoms, Stages and Treatment of Endometriosis

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology - Ireland, MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, DGO, MBBS

Symptoms, Stages and Treatment of Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a condition where the endometrial tissue lining the womb, grows outside the urethral lining. This can cause severe pelvic pain and a host of other complications, if it is not treated on time.

Here is everything you need to know about this ailment:

Symptoms: Owing to the location of this tissue and its painful protrusion through the lining or walls of the womb, one of the earliest and most painful symptoms experienced may include severe cramps and pain during the menstrual cycle. Also, the patient will experience pain in the lower abdomen region about a week before the onset of the cycle. Heavy bleeding as well as infertility may be experienced in such cases too. Sexual intercourse will also give rise to pain in the region, while discomfort will be felt during the bowel movements. Pain in the lower back will also be experienced throughout the menstruation period.

Stages: There are several stages of this disease and its progression, each of which will require a different form of treatment. These four stages usually depend on the location, size, depth and number of the endometrial implants within the body of the patient.

  1. Minimal Stages: In this stage, usually there will be small wounds and lesions as well as shallow implants on the ovaries. Inflammation in the pelvic cavity can also be felt in this stage.
  2. Mild Stage: In this stage, there will also be light lesions and shallow implants which will spread over the ovaries as well as the pelvic lining.
  3. Moderate Stage: In this stage, the implants will dig deeper into the ovaries and the pelvic lining, which will result in the growth of even more lesions.
  4. Severe Stage: As the name suggests, in this stage the patient will experience deep implants along with lesions in the bowels and the fallopian tubes.

Treatment: There are varied forms of this treatment including pain relief medication for minimal to mild stage patients. Also, hormonal therapy with the help of supplements may be prescribed. Hormonal contraceptives may also be used. In such cases, medication like Danazol, Medroxyprogesterone, Gonadotripin releasing hormone agonists, and other such elements may be prescribed. Conservative surgery and radical surgery may follow, depending on the severity of the condition. Laparoscopy is the preferred form of treatment in such cases.

A hysterectomy can be conducted as a final resort where the surgeon will remove the cervix as well as the uterus of the patient. This will make pregnancy impossible for the patient, thereafter. To stem estrogen production, the ovaries will also be removed.

One must discuss all risks and complications before going in for a certain form of treatment for this ailment.

Can I remove scars on face which came after pimples on my cheeks without surgery?

Can I remove scars on face which came after pimples on my cheeks without surgery?
Yes, you can surely remove the scars from acne. Use the following home remedies: TEA TREE OIL: Use tea tree oil facewash twice a day followed by tea tree toner and an oil free moisturizer. LEMON JUICE: Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area with a cotton ball. Leave it on for around 10 minutes then rinse with cool water. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: Mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar and water and use the mixture as a toner. Apply on your face with a cotton swab. ALOE VERA: Aloe Vera has burn-relieving properties and can promote healing, fight infection, and even reduce scarring. Scrape out the gel from an aloe plant with a spoon, and apply to your face. HONEY AND CINNAMON: Add half teaspoon of cinnamon powder with 1 tablespoon of honey and apply on face. Leave it for an hour, or if possible leave it overnight. Then wash off. CHAMOMILE STEAM: Make 2 cups of chamomile tea and add fresh rose petals to it. Then take this soothing steam while it is still hot. (Put a bath towel over your head to prevent the steam from escaping) Hope this helps.

Protect hair from damage due to heat by applying a protein lotion before you use a blow-dryer. Lubricate your hair. Using a moisturizer greatly reduces the chances of split ends and promotes hair growth by diminishing breakage. However, to avoid overtly oily hair, use only a little moisturizer or try lubricating your hair a couple of hours before hair wash. Moisturized hair will attract dust if you go out.

I have skin allergy since two years. All medicines are used but no result found, please help us.
Hi. For skin allergy, take Rhus Tox. 200/ one dose once a week and Urtica Urens 200/ one dose daily for a month. Along with these homoeopathic medications, follow the management part as well: - Avoid direct contact with the detergent soap or powder - Keep your hands moisturised always, use aloe vera cream - Also apply sunscreen with SPF- 30 liberally means apply a thick layer of the sunscreen 20-30 minutes before going out in the sunlight on the exposed areas and repeat it's application again after 3-4hrs. - Don't use any harsh hand soap, use hand soap with aloe vera in it. - Always prefer cotton clothes only - Carry an umbrella in the sunlight - Apply mixture of glycerine mixed with sugar every night. - Keep yourself hydrated always, drink at least 12-15 glasses of water daily (and in case there is excessice exposure to sunlight, increase the intake). - Take food rich in Vitamin A, C, E and protein.

Don't use any creams. As it contains chemicals which may further worsen the condition. So it's better to avoid any creams or external applications containing chemicals. Better you can slice a cucumber and place over there for 20 minutes daily morning and night. 6 hrs sleep compulsory. Don't keep on think about dark circles instead focus on your works. Don't frequently look at mirror too. Please do a liver function test and revert back. Please be free consult me through online Lybrate. Thank you.

Gram Negative Folliculitis - How It Can Be Treated?

MBBS, Diploma in Venerology & Dermatology (DVD)
Dermatologist, Thane
Gram Negative Folliculitis - How It Can Be Treated?

Gram-negative folliculitis is an infection of the skin. It is caused by gram-negative organisms. This can occur in patients, who are suffering from acne vulgaris and rosacea. In these patients, the acne gets resistant to drugs or antibiotics due to its prolonged use. This disease was first discovered by Fulton in 1968. People suffering from aids may also develop this infection.

Complications
Gram negative folliculitis can cause other skin conditions including the following ones:
1. Spa pool folliculitis is a pseudomonas infection.
2. Folliculitis caused by aeromonas hydrophila: This happens due to exposure of injured skin to contaminated water.

The appearance of Gram-negative folliculitis: It looks like rash similar to that of acne. Often patients mistake it to be the worst form of acne. In most cases, Gram-negative folliculitis leads to superficial pustules with lesser papules and comedones. These are caused by Klebsiella, Escherichia and Serratia species. In rare cases, it forms deeper lesions, which are nodular and cyst-like. These are caused due to infection by Proteus species. This microbe fails to penetrate deeper layers of the skin. The lesions are found on the upper lip, under the nose and on cheeks.

Diagnosis: When acne gets unresponsive to antibiotics, you should suspect it to be a case of gram-negative folliculitis. It is diagnosed by cytology. The colour of the bacteria in gram stain appears red or pinkish. Bacterial culture is conducted to identify the species.

Treatment: The treatment of gram-negative folliculitis can be done by using isotretinoin and other systematic antibiotics. Isotretinoin is a complex compound of beta-carotene and is effective for treating severe and unresponsive nodulocystic acne. This has been proved best for the eradication of facial lesions and nasal carriage in two to three months. Recurrence of the lesions is not seen.

Is your hair loss accompanied with greying of hair and have they become very thin? your hair needs a very high protein well-rounded diet. Hair and nails are the last organs to get nutrition in the body, hence only if all the organs get sufficient nutrition and proteins, only then the remaining nutrition would be used for hairs. A strand of hair is composed of mostly protein, which means your hair needs protein to grow. Hence a therapeutic diet prescribed by a registered dietitian can help a lot in hair growth. Besides diet excessive stress, current/past dandruff and some medication are conclusively known to retard hair growth and promote hair loss. - cut down on the use of hair spray, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients, which can dry out the scalp and cause the formation of flakes. Also harsh treatments such as perms, colours, relaxers etc take a toll on the health of your hair. - avoid changing your shampoo and conditioner constantly. Stick to one good mild cleansing shampoo for six months before changing. - excessive exposure to the sun, pollution, rain water and dust without proper protection makes the hair dry, brittle and limp. Use a live in conditioner during the rains to protect it from the humidity and wash and oil it regularly to maintain a healthy scalp. I may also prescribe medications like biotin or minox. That are proven to help in hairgrowth and repair I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for rx.

You are still young and can wait. If there is a deficiency that is restricting your growth, go for regular checkup for b12, iron, iodine copper. Apply cow's fresh butter on the areas. If nothing works, it might be hereditary. Later you can go for hair transplant.

How to get good facial hair. I have less facial hair. Please give me advice to get facial hair naturally.
Beard is purely genetic make up. It could be a pituitary issue, hair follicle or their lack of, or could possible even be genetics. To make hair grow you need to stimulate, moisturize, and cleanse. Use a soft bristle scrub brush for the face and use circular motions using a eucalyptus, menthol, and/or peppermint type cleanser or lotion. The invigoration of the brush and cleanser/moisturizer will wake up that hair follicles and gives them a signal to produce. Make a mixture of Argan oil, Jojoba oil, sesame oil and olive oil and massage your beard and moustache daily to grow and maintain black and smooth hair.
