Before you go through this, just close your eyes for a few seconds and ponder how your life would be if you are unable to see? Pathetic isn’t it? Eyes are one of the greatest gifts from the almighty, and it is your sole responsibility to protect them and keep in optimal health so that you too can keep on enjoying the beauty of nature.

Sometimes people are too lazy to go for an eye checkup when there is absolutely no vision problem and in other cases, people just don’t feel it is important to go for an eye checkup once in a year. However, routine eye exams are crucial for every person regardless of the age, gender, origin or habits. It is not just for individuals with poor eyesight but for everyone with or without eye problems. Here are the top reasons why you must be paying a visit to an ophthalmologist.

  1. Getting the prescription updated: You may think that your eyes are fine and there is nothing reasonable in visiting an ophthalmologist. But it is a general human tendency to neglect things until it is so late that nothing can be recovered. And your eyesight and eye health is no child’s play- it is vital in directing the quality of your life. Instructions for computer use: take frequent breaks while you are working every 20-25 mins take break to look away from screen blink more frequently' level of screen should be below the level of eyes ac should not blow directly on your face. Also get your eyes checked for any spectacle power.

There may be multiple reasons for your complains: (1) inadequate sleep. Do you have an irregular sleep cycle? that may be the reason for your tiredness. (2) improper posture while sleeping. Do you sleep in odd positions such as face down? improper sleeping posture also may cause feelings of fatigue, etc. (3) allergy of the eyes. Certain allergies prevent proper eye opening and can cause a person to feel tired and fatigued. If you have allergy of the eyes, make it a point to maintain eye hygiene. Avoid rubbing your eyes with handkerchief or fingers. Start washing your eye daily with clean hands and clean water daily for 4-5 times. Use a lubricant eye drop and an antihistamine eye drop. Use both of them 4 times daily and maintain an interval of 10 minutes between 2 types of drops. (4) systemic issues. Are you on any systemic medications? if yes, that may be the cause for your tiredness. Excessive obesity leads to a phenomenon known as postural hypoventilation syndrome. This means that the person suffering from this problem has improper breathing during sleep and has occasional periods of suffocation as well. Thus, this should be taken seriously and treatment should be sought from a physician. (5) excessive drinking and smoking may also cause the symptoms of tiredness and inability to open eye completely. This is an avoidable cause. All said and done, you should maintain eye hygiene by washing eyes regularly. Avoid rubbing your eyes with any form of cloth or your fingers. If your problems persist, it would be a better idea to consult an eye specialist in person and get your eyes checked and examined thoroughly. Hope my suggestions helped you-take care-regards.

Kindly show me photograph of the affected part. Knee rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days doknee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then contact me again.

Hello, you may be having headache because of stress/ refractory problems/ any ENT problem kindly follow advises given below: you can take: 1. Tablet Crocin (Paracetamol 500 mg) one tablet after food when required for headache after food for 2-3 days (maximum 2 tablets with gap of 12 hour can be taken in a day) 2. Adequate sleep 6-8 hr in a day 3. Get check eyes for refractive error 4. We need to go for ENT evaluation to rule out sinusitis 5. Get BP checked 6. Regular physical exercise and meditation and yoga complete history of your headache for further management like duration, severity, aggravating factors/relieving/ triggering/ associated factor to reach diagnosis consult physician for further management.

Hello. I think you have allergic conjunctivitis. 1. Eye allergies, called allergic conjunctivitis, are a common condition that occurs when the eyes react to something that irritates them (called an allergen). 2. The eyes produce a substance called histamine to fight off the allergen. As a result, the eyelids and conjunctiva (the thin, filmy membrane that covers the inside of your eyelids) become red, swollen and itchy, with tearing and burning. The key to treating eye allergies is a. Avoid or limit contact with the substance causing the problem. B. Avoid rubbing eyes instead do cold compresses. C. Use antiallergic eyedrop like olopat eyedrop twice daily d. Lubricating eyedrop like flogel thrice daily e. Use mild steroid like flurisone in pulse dose in severe allergy this will help you I am very sorry dear to say that there is no medicine that can cure allergy. Only way is to stay away from all those things that you are allergic to. This is a provisional diagnosis. Consult your ophthalmologist for detailed examination.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Kali brom 30 (4 drops in little amount of water) every morning empty stomach only one dose in a day for a week. 2. Berberis aquifolium q (10 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and revert. *clean your skin gently with a mild face wash removing all dirt or make-up. Hello lybrate-user. Rheumatoid arthritis has been seen to be associated with an eye condition known as scleritis. This entity is characterized by eye redness associated with pain and inflammation of the coats of the eyeball (uveitis). There may/ may not occur associated reduction of the vision. Also, there may occur dryness of the eye which may vary in intensity. It would be a good idea to get your eyes checked in detail by an eye specialist in person. Hope my suggestions helped you. For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and Take a flow of steam (of plain water only ) over the forehead through a crescent steam inhaler, eight hourly and check your eye sight for refractive error

Hello As long as your hands are dry..it is ok. Having said that.... soap cleans your dirt of hands also but sanitiser does not remove dirt completely So sanitiser is for emergency purposes and don't make it a habit

Dizziness or light-headedness when standing up occurs as a result of abnormal blood pressure regulation. Normally, when people stand, gravity causes blood to pool in the veins of the legs and trunk. This condition is called Eye strain, or asthenopia, in which the eyes get tired from excessive or intense use. It can be annoying, but it tends to disappear with rest. Although it’s not often a serious condition, eye strain could be a symptom of an underlying problem. Eye strain is known to cause fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and headaches Eye strain may lead to other problems, such as: •Headaches •Difficulty Concentrating •Irritability •Burning Sensation •Watery Eyes •Dry Eyes •Photophobia •Eye Pain. While watching TV/Mobile and studying make sure that the lightening in room is proper and you are at least at a distance of 10 Feet from TV to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the TV/Mobile screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. Above all, one must try to reduce the amount of TV/Mobile usage or take frequent breaks. Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem-solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning, at least, five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position, you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There is some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food. You may also include these noted foods that are good for your brain health: Brain-Friendly Foods MIND stands for Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay. But the MIND approach “specifically includes foods and nutrients that medical literature and data show to be good for the brain, such as berries,” says Martha Clare Morris, ScD, director of nutrition and nutritional epidemiology at Rush University Medical Center. You eat things from these 10 food groups: •Green leafy vegetables (like spinach and salad greens): At least six servings a week •Other vegetables: At least one a day •Nuts: Five servings a week •Berries: Two or more servings a week •Beans: At least three servings a week •Whole grains: Three or more servings a day •Fish: Once a week •Poultry (like chicken or turkey): Two times a week •Olive oil: Use it as your main cooking oil. •Wine: One glass a day You avoid: •Red meat: Less than four servings a week •Butter and margarine: Less than a tablespoon daily •Cheese: Less than one serving a week •Pastries and sweets: Less than five servings a week •Fried or fast food: Less than one serving a week.

I don't exactly remember when I get caught by this problem. I'm feeling like I'm losing my memory very soon and can't memorize a instance or event or name or number immediately I see. I feel nervous and lack of confidence all the time due to my bodily reflexes. It shivers while I stand in front of a crowd or in front of my manager and when I take a glass full of water. I always live with anxiety and with trembling hands and head. My memory fades while I'm getting into something. I can't sustain myself in cold whether as well as in little hot I sweat like a pig. My eyesight is getting weaker year by year. I have gastric disorders like indigestion and gastritis, sexual disorder like quick ejaculation. I feel like I'm always disturbed. Please help me.

You are suffering from anxiety disorder. Because of this one. You suffered very much. Better to consult psychiatrist for medical help. Along with medicine you need psychological counselling. Sometimes internal frustration and excessive stress may cause to develop this type of symptoms. It is better to control yourself. Do not imagine negative aspects. Do not underestimate yourself. Feel always comfortable manner. When we are under excessive stress we have a feeling of memory loss. We may develop fear also. I think you alone thinking excessively these aspects. Better to share when you feel bad. Breathing exercises will help to you very much. Practice yoga and meditation. Feel always relaxed. Your negative thinking is your enemy. Better to control it. Be feel always in a relaxed manner. I am very good capable person. I can solve any type of problems think like that do not depress small things. If you think negative aspects it may lead to further aspects. Feel always confident. It is better to come from yourself without any one help. If not possible your self it is better to take the help of professions. Be sociable and be friendly always. It is good for your health. Ok best of luck.
