Hello, give your father the below medicines:- Arnica 200, 5 drops once daily in the morning and Rhus tox, 5 drops once daily in the evening. Five phos 6x, 5 tabs twice daily.

I had an sprain in my right leg ankle on around 1 and a half month earlier. No fracture was found i. X ray but swelling was there. I consulted a physiotherapist he advice me to use crip bandage and take rest. But as of now swelling is there and I feel some resistance in moving my foot in a cyclic manner. Please suggest what to do as its quite delayed though I do not have problem in walking but little pain and stiffness is there when I sit with bend foot for few minutes.

Heat is an effective mean of reducing and relieving pain in cervical spondylosis. You can use hot packs at home. Some exercises like static contractions and strengthening exercises are needs to be done. Isometric contractions of the cervical muscles improve the muscle endurance and tone as the contractions improve the blood supply thereby the nutrition to the muscle is increased and hence muscle strengthening is done. Please see a physiotherapist for these exercises. You may need traction and soft tissue techniques for the management of cs. Postural awareness is very important. As the condition progresses, the abnormality of posture also increases, thus from the initial stage itself, postural awareness through proper advice and education should be planned and initiated by the physiotherapist. You have tight calf muscles. You need to do stretching of gastrocnemius and soleus. Hold it for 30 sec n relax for 20 sec. Repeat ten repetitions three times a day.

Dear lybrate-user, nervz b is a vitamin b Complex tablet. Probably will have some effect. However sciatica is a chronic problem. If the pain is so much that it is hammering her daily activities and or producing difficult in walking or any loss of sensation in the leg then she might need long term medications and further tests like an MRi of the lower spine. However the most effective therapy is physiotherapy. If you have done any tests please upload it and give some more details that I have asked for in the para above.

Miss lybrate-user as per your description knee pain in your case is mostly due to deficiency of calcium and vitamin d. Start taking milk with I spoon of panchatikta ghrit in it. Apply maha-narayan oil/ panch-guna oil on it massage it properly and do hot fomentation. Try to reduce your weight up to 4-5 kg. Your heel pain is due to calcaneal spur, for that you have to do dry heat fomentation. Heat one piece of brick put some butter milk on that. Do hot fomentation with that. For full recovery you have to take oral medicine also. Consult for proper treatment.

Dear you only have planter fasciitis and if it is not healing in about 6-8 weeks then it is resistant and shall need detailed evaluation and imaging to confirm that diagnosis. Yuo can use soft slippers and take pain killers for a while.

Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain while sleeping: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. Consult a physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your pain. Best wishes.

Please do hot compresses. Also take mag phos 6x - 4 times/4 tablets for next 3-4 days. Also do a x-ray of the affected part.

Morning stiffness in back & other joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

Lybrate-user you seem to be suffering from a lumbar disc problem. It sounds as if you are having a nerve compression. I would advise you to get an mri done and come here again to consult with the reports. Till then avoid any pulling or pushing activities. Avoid forward bending and sudden jerky movements and do hot fomentation of your lower back and hip areas. Homoeopathy has some excellent medicines to relieve you off the pain.

Home remedies for back pain

1. Tie a cup of uncooked rice inside a cloth and heat it for 30 to 60 seconds on the microwave in low setting. Then keep this on the back for relief.

2. Take fresh ginger into pieces, place in the cup of water and boil it for 30 minutes in low flame. Cool for 30 minutes after boiling. Consume this solution with honey.

Consult for Ayurveda tips and treatment.

1. Take a plastic bag with few crushed ice cubes and place it on the painful area.

2. Massage the painful back with castor oil.

3. Consume warm water mixed with 1 tablespoon of honey.

4. Mix equal quantities of cuscus grass and sugar then consume 5 grams of it twice a day with warm milk.

5. Soak wheat along with 1/2 quantity of cuscus grass is mixed with 1/2 quantity of coriander. Mix it with boiled milk 4 times of that wheat. When the milk is left 2/3 of the original quantity then consume it.

6. Take warm water in bath tub and soak in it for some time.

7. Massage with garlic and eucalyptus oil on the painful area.

8. Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily.

9. Increase the consumption of Vitamin C in diet.

I would like to examine you in detail & investigate. Anyway it may be tried. Do hot fomentation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1 tab od x10. Orthotrue. (from mankind) 1 tab bd x 5 days make sure that, there is no allergy to any of the medicines. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid, vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Always sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful. Use no pillow under the head. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days, please inform.
