Mera wife pregnant h.y dusra mhina h.ek to use kuch b khane ka mn ni krta. And mooh ka taste b alg rhta h.is that normal.

MBBS, DGO, DNB - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Congratulation to both of you. Its absolutely normal for your wife to feel this way. Do not worry. She can have potato and rice because they usually are digested. Ask her to avoid spicy and oily food. Take small frequent meals even if she does not feel like eating and not to stay empty stomach for long.

My wife is six month pregnant. Its our first baby. I just want to know what kind of precautions we should take during next three months. What to eat what to wear how to sleep. I want to know about all do's and dont's and I also want to know that where should we go for the pregnancy in private hospital or in government hospital. And after pregnancy how time we should spent in the hospital.

DGO
Gynaecologist, Pune
See a balanced diet is advised. Next cotton clothes which are comfortable to wear r suggested. Sleeping in left lateral position is best option. Choice of delivery in private or govt all depends on various points. Consult me for details.

If all the reports are normal, then chance of pregnancy is good. So, just ask your doctor to start treatment.

Hello Doc, i'm 25 years old 38+ weeks preg. With breech baby. My uterus is nt open enough nd baby is high. Baby's weight is 3.2 kg. My bp & sugar level is normal nd due date is 24 dec. My gyno. Suggested me don't wait for due date go with c-session nxt week. please suggest what to do?

MBBS, MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Obstetrician, Warangal
Hi lybrate-user, as you have completed term and your baby is avg weight. Cs mainly depends on type of pelvis, type of breech. If your baby is having legs down chances of cord coming out would be higher. Coz of complications of vaginal breech delivery your gynae would suggest you cs.

How Ayurveda is The Best Form of Treatment for Sexual Disorders?

MD - Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

How Ayurveda is The Best Form of Treatment for Sexual Disorders?

Ayurveda, which is an age old medicinal practice and has its own influence on the very important and intimate aspect of one's life that is the sex life of a person. Vajikarna, better known as ‘vishwachikitsa’, is one of the specialities in the field of Ayurveda that deals with aphrodisiacs and virility leading to good physique and freedom from impotency. The various herbs of Ayurveda help in curing major sexual problems, such as penile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and sexual exhaustion.

Here are a few reasons why Ayurvedic treatments should be preferred over conventional ones:

  1. The base of Ayurvedic treatments is all natural: The base of Ayurvedic treatments consists of herbs, plants, fruits and all vegetation growing around you. The usage of all natural elements for treatment of sexual diseases is more promising as they do not cause any side-effects as opposed to usage of supplements loaded with chemicals which might throw off the hormonal balance of your body.
  2. Ayurveda stresses on curing the ‘doshas’: The three ‘doshas’ in the body are ‘kapha’, ‘vata’ and ‘pitta’ and Ayurveda focuses on removing these ‘doshas’ along with curing the diseases. Removing these doshas while curing sex diseases is a major benefit of using Ayurveda because it helps you attain a better orgasm.
  3. Use of Ayurvedic herbs:
    • All the medicinal plants used in Ayurveda are devoid of any side effect and help in reversing the side effects of over masturbation by strengthening the nervous system and increasing the blood flow to the penile area.
    • Ashwagandha: This herb not only helps in getting rid of the side-effects but also prevents them from resurfacing. As an additional benefit, it helps in increasing the flow of libido, thus, reducing sexual exhaustion.
  4. Focus on overall well-being: Ayurveda is concerned with the overall physical well-being of the patient across all spheres that is physical, psychological, spiritual and is beneficial to social wellness as well while allopathic treatments rely solely on bio-chemistry and focus on fixing only one sexual problem at a time. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.

Bariatrician, Anantapur
Daily drink 4 litres of water and eat boiled eggs.

I am 20 of age and I have this question in my mind. When I press my boobs they secrete white liquid which I assume to be milk. I know the fact that they are meant for this but does this happen at such young ages. Is it normal to go under this.

MD - General Medicine
Sexologist, Nashik
You must get checked your thyroid function. As it is not normal to have such secreation in such age we must find its cause but not a serious issue.

This is regarding my wife's infertility. She had an IVF treatment. They were able to take out the egg but were unable to insert the embryo. They said she had a tube block. why there was no tube block while taking out the egg ?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology

IVF is done when the tubes are blocked fertilised eggs are inserted from the cervix not from the tube. Go to IVF specialist only.

Firstly try to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits especially the citrus variety like oranges, Smoking and all forms of tobacco to be strictly avoided, Hot saunas and baths to be avoided. Try to decrease stress levels by deep breathing exercises .yoga and exercise and adequate sleep .Meanwhile get yourself physically examined by a surgeon or urologist to rule out varicocoele etc. The doctor may also prescribe some medicines to increase sperm count and quality.

I am 41 years old, and was diagnosed with adenomyosis 1.5 years ago. Have been taking 1-3 meftal forte everyday for. 1.5 years. Now have back pain and blood in urine how much time does it. Take for the problem to resolve after. Stopping meftal forte.

DGO, MD, MRCOG, CCST, Accredation in Colposcopy
Gynaecologist, Kolkata
I would suggest you get a repeat USG of your pelvis done to check the status of adenomyosis as well as a urine RE. Meftal is a pain killer . hence should not be taken for such long periods. If you are having problems with painful periods you need to consider hormonal tablets or a mirena coil to see if these help

I am 25 years old unmarried girl from some day I am suffering from periods problem. Very very less flow at the first day of my periods. What is the reason? Any worries.

BAMS
Ayurveda, Ambala
Dear, Flow of bleeding during first day is less and increase day by day . But if your flow is very less in during cycle , So these are Causes of low flow of blood in periods are : * Due to Anaemia (low Hb level in body is anemia ) * Due to hormonal imbalance * Stress * obesity These are some instructions given below to make normal flow during periods : • Take proper diet full of nutrition . Eat green leafy vegetables and seasonal fruits and a glass of milk daily. Eat a fruit and a bowl of cereal daily . • Do Not take stress because stress causes imbalance in hormones of female and make your menstrual cycle disturb and make your ovulation disturb .Do meditation or long breathing pranayams for maintain hormonal balance. • Do jogging and running exercise daily .Start these exercise for 3 to 4 minutes daily then increase time slowly . If you are obese loose some weight this is also a cause of irregular periods. • you can take these medicines for regular periods. Syrup Dashmolarisht or ,syrup EVECARE of himalya. 2 tsf daily once in a day after meal.

Hello Doctor, Please explain us how to track the ovulation using Basal Temp Thermometer. Many sites say different procedures. Please help me so that we won't miss the important days. I have regular cycle of avg 27- 28 days.

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
Yes many sites say different things - agree, but stick to old methods of measuring morning temperature before brushing teeth or taking tea, means just after waking up. If temp has been 97 for first 12 days after cycle, on day 13 there will be a dip by a point and on day 14 there will be a rise by 2 points or more and it will remain so till cycle starts. Day 14, when there is rise in temp. By a point is ovulation day and life of ovum in urerus is 48 hours. You are lucky to have a regular cycle and I am sure you will find the old time tested method useful, though there are ovulation kits available in market too and they too can be wrong due to human error.

I had a baby in ceaserian last 25 days ago. Now what kind of food I take. Someone please tell me.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Udupi
You can have all the warm foods and freshly made hot dishes. Avoid ice creams and excess oily foods. Increase Your Fluid Intake:Drinking enough water and liquids will make sure that your bowel movements are regular and smooth.Drinking lots of water will help to flush out all the toxins from your body. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables containing vitamin C like oranges, strawberries, papayas, melons, grapefruits, broccoli, sweet potatoes, tomatoes etc. The antioxidant present in vitamin C aids in tissue repair and speeds up the healing process. - Make sure to include vitamin C in your regular diet, as it will also protect you from common cold and cough. Vitamin C helps prevent arthritis and other joint pain, which are common side effects of a cesarean delivery. Have An Iron-Rich Diet: During a cesarean delivery, your body will suffer from a major blood loss. egg yolk, liver, dried fruits and dried beans are enriched in iron. Include Lean Protein In Your Meal Plans. Fiber are recommended for women who have undergone the C-section surgery to prevent constipation, which may result in stress on the surgical stitches on the womb. Fruits such as raspberries, banana, pears, apples; whole wheat grains pasta and bread; peas, beans, and lentils; and vegetables like artichoke and green peas are some of the high-fiber foods that can be included in the diet. Fruits with edible skins should be eaten with their skins for providing more roughage to the digestive system for easy bowel movement.

Dear Lybrate user, If you have Thalassemia, iron sucrose should not be taken. Consult Physician/ Hematologist regarding this. Various daals (specially sabut) and milk (and milk products) are good sources of protein.
