Pimples or acne is caused when Hair follicles in your skin gets clogged due to oil, dirt, bacteria or dead skin. Acne generally occurs in people with oily skin but other factors like dead skin, dirt, pollution or hormonal imbalance can also cause acne in people with normal skin. Acne can be reduced or controlled by including some habits in your daily life style. 1. Keep your skin clean – Wash your face daily with an oil control face wash. You can also use a good AHA glow face wash that not only controls oil but also removes dead skin and bacteria. You can also use Tea Tree face wash 2 times a day. By shedding the old dead skin, your skin feels rejuvenated and clean. Apply a good toner, like tea tree toner after washing your face. After toning, apply an oil free and non- comedogenic cream on face. Last but not the least, apply a good sunscreen with minimum 30 spf daily. 1.Face packs – Occasionally apply good oil controlling face packs. Multani mitti + Lemon + yogurt is a good face packs for oily skin beauties. You can apply organic apple cider for 5 minutes after washing your face to kill the bacteria that clogs your pores. Green Tea can also be used as a toner once a day. 2.Diet – Most important thing is diet. Eat fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. Reduce junk food intake, colas, alcohol and soda and consume whole grains. Keeping your digestive system healthy keeps your body and blood toxins free. Drink green tea, lemon juice, orange juice and food items containing Vitamin C as it is responsible for maintaining good skin health. Drink at least 10 glasses of water every day. 3.Exercise – Exercises, yoga, suryanamaskar improves the blood circulation and balances hormones. They keep skin healthy and boost body’s immunity to deal with several issues and not just acne. Include it in your daily regime.

Dear, your husband is already 64 years and he must be knowing what he is doing. My suggestion would be to leave him alone and do not frustrate him by telling the same thing again and again. The more you frustrate him, the more he will repet his problem behavior. For anxiety, behavior therapy could be practised. Please consult a psychologist. Take care.

1. Reduce weight if you are over weight by regular exercise, 2. Control diet by avoiding oily, fatty, cholesterol rich and high calorie diet, diary food product, fried /processed/junk food, soft drink, sugar, salt, ghee butter meat. 3. Take foods rich in omega3 fatty acid like walnut, fish oil, flax seed oil, high fiber diet, vegetables, beet/carrot and fruits 4. Drink plenty of water 5. Avoid hepato toxic drugs 4. Total abstinence from alcohol, smoking if you are having.

Acne or pimples is a chronic disease involving the pilosebaceous follicles. Sebaceous glands are found most abundantly on the face and scalp, though they are present on every part of the skin except the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. Though the sebaceous gland is a mini organ, it is anatomically and functionally related to the hair follicle. Cutaneous disorders attributed to the sebaceous gland are really disorders of the entire pilosebaceous unit. The areas most commonly involved in acne are the face, upper chest, and back. Other less common areas include the upper arms, buttocks, and upper thighs. Acne arises from the interaction of 4 factors 1. Excess sebum production caused by androgenic stimulation of sebaceous glands; 2. Outlet obstruction of the sebaceous follicle arising from excess production of keratinocytes (the basic cell of the epidermis); 3. Increased proliferation of the bacteriaPropionibacterium acnes that normally live in the sebaceous follicle; and 4. Inflammation caused by sebum escaping into the surrounding skin. Excessive manipulation by the patient, causing the primary lesions to disappear and leaving excoriated, raw-looking marks. This is called acne excoriée and can cause scar formation. For removal of black marks you can apply pure coconut oil daily before sleeping, don't apply while going out in sun together with this constitutional homoeopathic treatment will give you best results.

No you are not pregnant.This can be due to Anaemia.Just start taking green leafy vegetables in your diet along with a good iron supplement.Once your Hb comes normal,I think your problem of periods will be itsself solved otherwise we will have a review there.

Diabetic patient for 10 years. Burning sensation in both feet and sleep disturbance now. On Metformin 500 mg 3 times a day and sitagliptin once a day. Fasting sugar 135 HbA1c 7.5 Vitamin B12 Normal. What could be the reason for this burning sensation which is not tolerable at all?

Burning sensation in feet in your case is most probably due to diabetic sensory peripheral neuropathy which is a common sequel of diabetes of longer duration. Please consult a Neurologist who will help you. Please try to what keep your blood sugar within acceptable range.

Dear Lybrate user, you seem to be suffereing from a painful and irritable tooth condition known as "Pericoronitis" which implies the inflammation of the soft tissue cover around a partially erupted crown of a tooth (wisdom tooth/third molar). It would be prudent for you to get the tooth extracted under able supervision of an expert General Dentist or a more specialized Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. The doctor would require an X-Ray (called an Intra-Oral Peri-Apical Radiograph or may be an OPG) before deciding on the fate of the tooth. You should not delay the treatment and plan to get the tooth extracted soon after the initial infection and inflammation, considerably subside. Meanwhile do some lukewarm-saltwater mouth rinses 3-4 times/day and eat a soft and non-spicy diet. Be well!

You need to reduce your weight. That will control your sugar levels. However you can still have a child. Diabetes can be controlled/managed by a proper regulated diet. 1. Eat whole grain food/grains instead of refined grains. 2. Avoid foods with high Glycemic Index (GI Index) 3. Avoid all forms of simple sugars like Colas, juices, sweets, biscuits, cakes etc. 4. Eat fruits and foods with low GI index. 5. Eat every two hours small meals/snacks. Take more green vegetables/salads. 6. Eat lot of proteins like dals, sprouts, egg, chicken etc. 7. Take chapatis made of multigrain atta. 8. Drink lot of water. 9. These herbs are known to improve sugar levels - tulsi, cinnamon, karela, flax seeds. 10. Do at least 30 mins of exercise everyday.

This loss of hunger is due to your weak digestive system. You first need to improve your digestion. Take tab hinguvachadi gulika 1 tab tid with butter milk before meals or tab agnitundi vati 1tab tid with luke warm water before meals dadimashtaka curna 1/2tsp with butter milk tid before meals for 7 days. Follow up after 7 days.

Hello, Take time to have bread fast. Atleast you can have an apple, while driving to work. Pls dont skip the regular diet, which gives such side effects. Add protein supplement to your diet, which help you keep active. Also multivitamins. Calcium and bone health for back pain.

I have a problem of ibs what should I do to overcome this problem? And what precaution should I take?

For management of IBS follow these instructions: • Do not take stress. If you feel stressed then take counseling sessions weekly and you can take anti anxiety drugs prescribed by your physician. • Do long breathing pranayams to relieve your stress and anxiety. This will relax your mind. If you feel anxiety or panic take a deep breath and try to focus on main thing. •Take probiotics for make your gut wall healthy. Take one sachet of probiotics daily. • Take less diary products and coffee, tea. Eat less fast food or junk food. • Do not eat red, green chilli and black pepper also. •To make your digestion good take 5 gm (1 teaspoon) of jeera (cumin), 5 gm (1 teaspoon) of dry corriander seeds (dhaniya), 5 gm (1 teaspoon) of ajwain (carom seeds) and add some leaves of mint in glass of water and boil it till the water become half in pan. Drink it daily once in a day.

You can go for following remedy it will help you 1. Crush 15 thoroughly washed basil leaves 2. Place it on a sieve and extract its juice 3. Add 1 tsp of honey to this juice 4. Mix well 5. there are a various causes for stomach problems, treatment depends on the location, severity and type of pain. Laboratory tests such as the complete blood count (cbc), liver enzymes, pancreatic enzymes (amylase and lipase), urinalysis are frequently performed in the evaluation of abdominal pain. If you have h. Pylori infection for which I can prescribe a 14 day treatment plan which will eliminate it. Untreated infection causes ulcers in stomach and may finally lead to cancer. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

I'm not concentrating on my studies. Whenever I study I cannot concentrate more than 1/2 an hour. Sometimes I don't study for 5 or 6 days. I only dreamt about future and money. I think that if I got money what can I do where to spend, etc. But sometimes I think if I will not study where this money will come from. And I go in depression and don't concentrate. One thing more if I study 1 or 2 days regular I think from now everything will be alright. But again the same thing happens. What should I do, please suggest me.

You are living in a fantasy world of make-believe. In that state, nothing can happen nor be achieved. There could be something troubling you enough for you to want to live in this dream world. I suggest that you meet with a counselor and examine this tendency; It may be linked to something more serious. In the meantime do some of these recommendations very faithfully: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem-solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning, at least, five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position, you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There is some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food.

I am always loosing my temper. I am showing my anger always at my home to parents especially father. I am not able to show off anywhere else since I don't have much friends to whom I can share and trust. I am feeling often irritated but not sure on the reason. Please help.

Dear lybrate user, Anger and aggression are emotions. Anger comes when you become irritated. Irritation happens when you don't like something, or when something is repeated. As anger is an emotion, it should be vent out. You should be able to throw anger out instead of controlling it. But more perfect will be, know the frustrating situations and stop being emotional. If practiced properly, you will not get irritated at those circumstances at all. Those techniques are much easier to understand. Take care.

Dear, turning yellow teeth into white use hydrogen per oxide for gargles. Use colgate total paste and listerin mouthwash twice a day. Do rinse your mouth with listerine mouth wash.
