(bending leg is foremost for reducing stiffness) but also stretching straight legs, stretching side ways, etc exercises does its also help in anyway reducing stiffening of leg ?

Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

I have a back pain since last 1 week. So what should I do for reduce my back pain please give me suggestion.
Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -Apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --While sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -Find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -Do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -Avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -Good posture plays a key role in your spine health, helping to prevent additional back and neck pain and even injuries to spinal structures. Try to be aware of your posture and make good posture part of your normal routine. -head up, shoulders back, rear tucked under -Stand and walk with correct posture -Sit with support -Lift and carry carefully -And finally, keep moving:-Maintaining a static position for too long—more than twenty or thirty minutes at a time—is hard on the back. Prolonged static posture can slowly deplete elasticity from the tissues. By simply moving—be it a change of position, a stretch, or a short walk—the tissue elasticity needed to protect your joints can be restored and the associated discomfort reduced. -Stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -Some Physiotherapy treatment like IFT current can give you relief. -Consult a Physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your back pain. I suggest you follow the below for your condition: take mag phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and ice packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately.

As of now: - try to avoid sitting on hard surfaces and only sit on well cushioned surfaces - you can also apply analgesic spray - take an anti-inflammatory medication for 3-5 days please let me know if your pain persists. Hi, if its a steroid injection try to avoid. Hyluronic acid can be given for temporary relief for 6 months to 1 yr, post your x rays as well that will be better idea.

Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. We remain seated most of the time and stand for very short periods of time. Unfortunately walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone.

Sr one accident in 2012 year my right leg fractured. Surgery to my leg and fixed a plate in my leg, now i am alright but some body tells about that plate will be throne my leg. I am not interested putting plate in my body in future there is harm to my body, please suggest

There is no need to remove the plate unless until it is giving you some problems such as pain or pinching or some infection. There is no harm if the plate is present inside the body.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Lie down on bed on your back without pillow. Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

Severe knee pain at your age is commonly due to osteoarthritis which means degeneration of joint cartilage causing friction between joint surfaces, leading to pain and stiffness. Lifestyle modifications and physical therapy are important treatment aspects to maintain functionality. 1. Knee stretching and strengthening exercises to improve knee strength. 2. Avoid jogging or physical activity that increases knee pain. But absolute rest is not advised. Engage in activity like swimming or walking, but perform activity which is painless 3. Application of analgesic cream over knee and warm fomentation before exercises. Apply cold pack after exercises 4. Weight loss if obese. 5. Simple analgesics like paracetamol when pain is present. 6. When pain or disability is significant, viscoelastic injection or PRP injection inside the knee joint is helpful. I). Injections of Viscoelastic substance or artificial synovial fluid into knee joint. This decreases friction in joint space ii). Injections of Platelet rich plasma derived from patients own blood into the knee joint. This regenerates the knee joint. Iii). In patients with severe pain, genicular nerve block can be given to decrease pain. For above treatment consult a pain specialist. 7. In advanced cases Knee replacement is the only option.
