You can do muscle building exercise for weight gain.Eat food extra more frequently.Take dense fruits,vegetables,unprocessed foods.Take whole cream milk.Add cream with tea/coffee.Eat fish,egg,lean meat,tofu,mushroom,soy milk,soy product.Use healthy fat more in cooking.Take seeds,nuts.Use weigh gainer supplement.Avoid smoking,alcohol.Drink lots of water but not just before and during meals.Lead a stress free life and quality sleep.

Dear Doctor Warm greetings Our daughter born in Dec 2012 has been facing constipation since last 2.5 years. She poops every 4-6 day and only post suppository. We tried various laxatives as prescribed by paediatrics but no results. Tried homeopathy and Ayurved as well with no results. U have to work and make an effort to solve this problem. Not difficult but not easy also 1.Is he regularly taking some medicine for any disease. 2 give stool softener for at least 2 weeks in proper dose 3 .high fiber diet - more fresh fruits (like mango) and vegetables like broccoli, peas , beans, whole grain atta and pulses and plenty of pop corn and curd 5. More fluids- water, milk. No soft drinks or packed juices .a glass of milk with sugar at night before sleeping 5 .probiotics 6. Regular and fixed toilet time- first thing in the morning. Sit at least for 10 mts 7. Regular meal timings. 7. No spicy/ fried/ processed / junk food/ fatty foods 8.Physical activity – daily out door activity for 30 – 60 mts 9 no vitamin supplement 10. Deworming good luck.

To maintain a low body fat and/or lower body fat: 1. Exercise at least 5 times per week, 3 times weight training and 3 days cardio vascular. 2. Eat whole/unprocessed foods at regular intervals, while being aware of physical hunger/fullness cues 3. Sleep 7-9 hours per night 4. Don’t engage in extreme diets 5. Stay consistent with your habits 6. Incorporate non-exercise physical activity 7. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Memory and mind power depends on three aspects. Understanding, retention and recollection. Recollection is easy if your retention is proper and flawless. Retention is possible when you are able understand what you read or learn. To understand you should have concentration. Concentration comes from effective learning techniques based on creative and active learning. Physical exercise, outdoor games, entertainment, socializing coupled with systematic learning improves your memory and mind power. Vegetables, fruits and nuts are perfect for memory. Brain games like sudoku and jigsaw puzzles helps too. Avocados, Beetroots, Blueberries, Broccoli. Celery, Coconut Oil, Dark Chocolate etc are good for improving concentration and memory. Hello. There are 2 kind of tulsi leaves you can come across- one is ram tulsi (one with lighter shade of leaves) and the other one is shyam tulsi (the one with darker shade of leaves. You have to take 15-20 leaves of shyam tulsi i. E the leaves with darker shade and grind it into a paste, dissolve it in 150ml of water and bring it to boil. When only 100 ml of water is left. Keep it aside (without sieving). Henceforth consume this water everyday in 3 installments. This natural remedy will surely help you with your fever and cold. Thanks:)

His blood sugar is very high.He may have to start insulin.Consult Diabetologist for treatment &advice.Follow the advice given below 1.Do regular exercise 2.Reduce weight if overweight 3Control diet 4.Avoid sweets, sugar/honey, excess calorie and carbohydrate rich diet, avoid all refined food like maida, pasta, starchy food like rice, potato,.include more fiber like pulse,green leafy vegetable, legume. Avoid sweetened fruit like banana,mango,litchi,chickoo,sapota,seethaphaljack fruit,grape etc.avoid white/polished rice, take unpolished rice like brown rice/wheat/Jowar/Ragi,moong and chana Dal. Hello dear there are many causes for redness of eyes mainly allergy, infection, inflammation and dry eyes etc. 1. Redness + itching: allergy 2. Redness + pain+ watering + decreased vision: infection 3. Redness + pain: inflammation 4. Redness+ foreign body sensation: dryness if there is only redness then it is normal as slight exposure to dust, temperature or air or eyes may be red in morning. Stress may also cause redness. I usually do not treat when there is only redness, you can 1. Blink a lot 2. Wash eyes with fresh water 3. Cold compresses 4. Use lubricating eyedrop like flogel these measures will help to keep your eyes healthy but it will not have any effect on redness (treating generalredness alone is not necessary also) having said that you should consult local ophthalmologist for proper examination and treatment.
