Hello lybrate-user, take tablet folvite mb one tablet once a day and homeopathic borax 200 4 pills three times a day, you can apply orasep gel on the ulcer before having your meals as it will help in desensitizing the ulcer. The ulcer will reduce with the above course in a couple of days.

You may have infection at the extraction site. Visit the dentist who did your extraction. He/she will give you antibiotics and analgesic after cleaning the wound (irrigating the wound). In the mean time use betadine gargles dilute it with equal amounts of water and rinse gently 3-4 times a day.

Cold sensitivity can be due to dental decay or abrasion of the teeth. You can use a desensitizing paste for temporary relief. Please consult a dentist and get it diagnosed and then proceed with the appropriate treatment.

Take your antibiotics as prescribed by your dentist. Relieve pain with anti-inflammatory medication that allows for reduction of inflamed periodontal fibres during your root canal recovery as tooth heals. Give the tooth that has had a root canal started or completed some time to settle down and become more comfortable. Avoid crunchy, hard or tough foods on a recently treated root canal tooth for several days afterward. Staying with softer foods and chewing on the opposite side are helpful suggestions to reduce pain after root canal treatment. Having a crown made for a root canal treated tooth helps to maintain it, keep it intact, functional, and less likely to develop pain from fracturing. The final step of a root canal is often placing a crown.

There are so many causes of bleeding gums - - brushing too hard - poor oral hygiene. - vitamin deficiency - taking blood thinners or other medications - bleeding or clotting disorders - mouth sores - other medical problems, including diabetes, heart disease, leukemia or scurvy few advice to stop bleeding gums-- - visit to a dentist for professional cleaning once in a year - use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - Avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth.

Hi There, I am having bad breath which is due to stomach. Please suggest me medicine to cure it. Thank you!

Bad breath can occur due to acidity too. Have your meals on time and include plenty of salads and fruits in your teeth. Don’t skip your breakfast. Drink adequate amount of water everyday. If you are having excessive acidity symptoms, do consult a gastroenterologist or medicine specialist. For bad breath, you can rinse with 10 ml of Hexidine mouthwash diluted with a glass of water, twice daily after brushing. Brush your teeth twice daily.

Two week is quite a long duration to wait. As per the symptoms you have mentioned here, it seems like your tooth has an acute infection. I would rather suggest you get the RCT initiated as early as possible. Your pain will reduce significantly after the first session on RCT since it will reduce the inflammation that is build up inside the tooth. You can take intramuscular injections of Diclofenac for immediate pain relief but it will not help you in longer run.

General Physician, Faridabad
Dear sir,
I am suffering from mouth ulcer for last three days.
Please suggest what should do.
Do betadine gargle thrice daily .and you should also take B-complex capsules. Other causes of ulcers need to be ruled out if they don't regress in a week's time.
