Day before yesterday, night I ate around 6 custard apples and slept. We all are aware of the fact that our height increases up to a particular age and then it comes to a halt. Height increases up to the age of 18years in women and up to the age of 20 years in men. Increase in height is attributed to the production of growth hormone, called the HGH( Human Growth Hormone), which is secreted by the pituitary gland called the master gland of our body. It is rather difficult to increase height after reaching adulthood as the production of these hormones slowly stops. In most cases, the epiphyses of the long bones are fused as the last bits of cartilaginous tissue in the bones turn into solid hard bones. This prevents any further growth in longer bones. Let me explain a widely discussed yet controversial topic behind losing weight i.e Dieting. It is a myth that weight loss is impossible without dieting. However, I disagree with that myth personally. You have to fulfill the basic caloric demand of your body to perform your daily activities. That means you have to eat as a normal person & also eat at a certain interval. In fact I have seen many people who take little amount food after fasting for 6-7 hours & they believe that they are Dieting. In fact keeping your stomach empty for a considerable long time will decrease the rate of metabolism & also increase the risk of gastric problems in an individual. Staying hungry for a considerable long time produces the release of Cortisol Hormone in the body. This Cortisol hormone is an emergency hormone & it identifies the absence of food as an emergency situation. Thus it lowers the rate of metabolism to stop the breakdown of fat in order to conserve the calories present inside the body. Moreover, when you stay hungry for a considerable long time your body starts to burn fat initially but after a certain stage it starts burning the muscle fibres thus resulting in muscle waste which leads to weakness & loss of stamina. If you want to lose weight quickly then along with increasing the rate of metabolism you should need to make some little changes in your food habit so that you can maintain the increased metabolic rate throughout the day. Just think of your body as a furnace & the fire as metabolism. If you add 10 kg of wood to the fire all of a sudden then the temperature of the fire will be increased suddenly but it would not last long. So inorder to maintain the temperature of the fire it would be wise to add 1 kg of wood after every interval of 1 hour. Same happens with our body. You need to provide food to your body at certain interval so that the rate of metabolism remains constant. I am giving a description of your food timings:- 1) Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up from sleep 2) Take your breakfast within one hour of waking up 3) After 2 hours of breakfast take some midday snacks 4) Take your lunch within 2 hours after your midday snack 5) Take an evening snack after 2 hours of lunch 6) Take your dinner at least 2 hours before going to bed Throughout the day try to drink as much water as you can. It would be better if you can drink cold water. For a rough estimation try to drink a glass (300 ml) of water per hour.

Homoeopathic cream ANTIWRINKLE CREAM ( BAKSON) Apply in circular fashion twice a day 1. Avoid the sun and/or use a good sunscreen. Sun damage is well-known to wreak havoc upon the best of skin. All sun worshippers that do not take heed pay the price with lax, leathery skin before their time ~ not to mention the risk of many dangerous skin cancers. The sun screen should be o Broad-spectrum protection (protects against UVA and UVB rays). o Sun Protection Factor (SPF) 30 or greater. o Water resistance o Preferably Homoeopathic SUNCARE SUNSCREEN ( BAKSON). 2. Drink plenty of water. Water is what nourishes our cells…it is present in EVERY cell in our bodies. But, many people do not drink enough of this elixir! And, without proper hydration, skin will appear dull and listless ~ lacking the elasticity that gives us our youthful appearance. What is the proper amount of water to drink per day? This is a controversial subject, but I recommend 9 cups for women and 12.5 cups for men. 3. Do not bathe in hot water since this has a harmful effect on the skin integrity, damaging it and drying it out. 4. Use a good moisturizer! Preferably Homoeopathic ROSE MOISTURISER ( SBL) 5. Partaking in regular exercise can improve skin elasticity. It is recommended to have 30 minutes of aerobic exercise to improve circulation for the skin. This gives the benefit of feeding the skin and removing any waste products more effectively. Hence, you will have a more youthful skin. 6. Proteins make up the matrix of our cells and thus are very important for good collagen and elasticity. Eat these top proteins for good elasticity: almonds, peanut butter, salmon, sardines and eggs. 7. Luten an antioxidant found in egg yolks, spinach, and other leafy greens may improve skin elasticity by almost 20%. Lutein is also found in topical face products. 8. Fish oil capsules taken on a daily basis can do much for skin elasticity. This is very important if you are on a diet or have already lost a lot of weight…fish oil is one of your best weapons to combat laxity and looseness of the skin. But, be sure to follow the dosage directions on the label (and consult a physician before taking anything) since the wrong dose may be harmful or dangerous in bleeding disorders (or other medical conditions). 9. Also, it’s important to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables for good skin elasticity. And, of these ~ the best ones to eat are as follows: • Red Peppers • Oranges • Grapefruits • Strawberries • Broccoli • Carrots • Mango • Apricots • Sweet Potato • Avocados So, if you have lost elasticity due to poor habits or weight loss ~ the above list should give you a guide on how you may improve your skin starting TODAY. Or, if you are needing a preventative treatment against aging…these habits can take you down the road to a much happier, youthful skin! We don’t have to give in to mother nature, there are always variables we can manipulate to fight back against what our mothers and grandmothers had to endure ~ loose, sagging skin.

Hi, you should go for brisk walk in the morning and evening. Do regular exercise atleast 15 minutes. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Take 2 cup green tea daily. Avoid junk food and oily food. Don't take rice at night. Take small and frequent meals.

Hello 82 is a ave where your knee joint gets eroded a lot which leads to tremendous pain when you walk or climbs stairs. Hence you need to take care of your knee in order to decrease the joint loading by unloading it, the way to unload it, is to keep it hydrated by sitting at the edge of the couch/bed and tie a 2 kg weight cuff at the ankle and move/swing your knee in easy gentle low amplitude oscillations for ten minutes twice daily. Wear a knee brace with hinge daily when you are off the bed. Have lots of fresh fruits specially citrus fruits. Have anjeer four piece twice daily. Avoid lady finger, spicy foods, avoid peas, brinjal and tomatoes. Avoid mustard oil. Avoid tobacco in any form (if at all you consume) do knee strengthening (quadriceps, vmo, gluteus, tfl, hamsrings) exercises and hamstring and quadriceps stretching. Quadriceps drill. Partial squatting (30-40 degree bend) if your knee permits. If possible visit a skilled orthopedic physiotherapist. Hope it helps. Take care.

To treat the incontinence of urine: *take very less amount of fluid after 6 pm & go for urination after every hour. * do urination before bed time & wake up in the midnight for urination. * during daytime, while you are urinating, once take a pause then start urinating again & repeat it 2-3 times. It increase the muscle tone of bladder muscle. * sit in the possition of padmasana or sidhasana in morning for 8-10 minutes.

The principal symptoms of dengue are: -high fever and at least two of the following: -severe headache -severe eye pain (behind eyes) -joint pain -muscle and/or bone pain -rash -mild bleeding manifestation (nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: -severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting -red spots or patches on the skin -bleeding from nose or gums -vomiting blood -black, tarry stools  -drowsiness or irritability -pale, cold, or clammy skin -difficulty breathing

Your question is quite obvious dear, when we drink more water, definitely we need to flush it out right through urine, sweat. Following right time to drink water is important. Definitely our body needs to be replenished with water during thirst, dehydration. When you need to spend 2-3 hours at a stretch you need to limit water intake for example during exams, or some meeting etc. Inorder to manage that urine incontinence. Otherwise for every 20 kg body weight a person has to consume 1litre of fluid per day.

Breathe Easy: 6 Natural Remedies to relieve Nasal Congestion

Everyone knows how annoying a stuffy nose can be. The difficulty in breathing even affects your sleep and day to day work. Nasal passages are blocked when the virus causing cold leads to inflammation of the tissues in the nasal cavity. Thankfully there are some simple and non-expensive home remedies that can be used to relieve a blocked nose.

Here are some natural remedies to get rid of nasal congestion during winter months:

1. Garlic :

Garlic is useful in relieving a blocked nose. In addition, it’s anti-bacterial and anti-fungal nature helps to fight with cold virus. You can either chew on 2-3 cloves of whole garlic or boil the cloves in one cup of water and drink the concoction.

2. Apple cider vinegar:

In addition to numerous other health benefits, apple cider vinegar can also help relieve a blocked nose. Mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon honey in a cup of water. Drink this at least 2-3 times a day to clear congestion.

3. Tulsi:

Basil or tulsi is also a great treatment for blocked nose. You can chew on a few leaves at night before going to sleep and in the morning. It is a very effective solution for not only relieving congestion but also to treat other conditions of cold like sore throat and cough.

4. Eucalyptus oil:

Eucalyptus oil is highly beneficial for those suffering from nasal congestion due to its decongestant and anti-inflammatory properties. Put one or two drops of eucalyptus essential oil in a fresh handkerchief and inhale the aroma. Do this few times a day. Alternatively, you can add a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil on your pillow so you can get the benefits of this oil while sleeping.

5. Methi seeds:

Methi is a very good natural ingredient to treat nasal congestion, thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties. It also helps to cleanse the mucous membranes. The heat and moisture from methi tea will help in thinning of mucus.

Mix one or two teaspoons of crushed methi seeds in a glass of water. Boil the solution. Strain and drink it while it is warm. Repeat two or three times a day until you get complete relief from the problem.

6. Lemon tea:

A tea made of hot water, lemon, and honey is one of the best stuffy nose relievers and you should try it if you’re looking to quickly get rid of a stuffy nose. To make this simple tea, just boil a cup of water, add the juice from one fresh lemon, and mix in two tablespoons of honey. Drink this up as many times a day as you would like to get rid of your stuffy nose and help you feel better.

Hi 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit.
