Do exercise regularly like swimming,skipping,push ups,sit up,squats plank,yoga after taking lukewarm water with lemon juice on an empty stomach in the morning.Eat small amount of food.Avoid sugar,sweetened juice.Avoid fast foods junk foods,processed foods.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Take lots of whole fruits,watery vegetables.Take small amount of food.You take extra protein which will help to reduce weight.Use healthy fats in cooking small amount.Avoid smoking,alcohol.Use lukewarm water after meals.These will be very much helpful.

I m preparing for IES exam. But I m not able to concentrate on my studies. I can't sit for long hours to study. I feel sleepy n lazy. I sleep for around 7 to 8 hours a day even after that I keep on yawning when studying. please help me n give some tips on how I can increase my studying hours n my concentration. Also suggest some diet which would help me remain active n full of energy. Should I practice yoga r something else. I really need help.

Sleeping for 7-8 hours is not a problem. You will have to take care of your diet - eat smaller portions. Have a healthy nutritious diet - avoid junk food and also snacks like biscuits and namkeens. Instead snack on fruits, nuts and roasted grams and snacks. Have lots of water and home made drinks- avoid tea and coffee. Exercise is a must to energize your body and brain- yoga is a good idea - do some pranayam. Divide content into smaller chunks. Set daily targets in terms of portions you want to complete rather than the no. Of hours you want to put in. Test yourself after every topic that you finish. Reward yourself if you are able to achieve daily targets. Make your goal important for yourself and think of a negative consequence (one that you most want to avoid) for self motivation.

You can increase upto 14 Kg (max). For weight gain, kindly follow these tips: 1. Have small meals rich in nutrient & energy density but low in volume every 2-3 hrs. 2. Include foods like paneer paratha, cheese omlette, til ladoo, badam chikki, dates/mango/banana milkshake, sugarcane/bel juice, fish finger, chicken roll, thicker rotis with ghee, rice with ghee, cow/buffalo milk with skim milk powder, jam/jelly, atta halwa/sheers, fruit kheer, dry fruits 3. Include vegetables within dishes. Use potato, dry fruits in most items 4. Practice strength exercises like squats, bench press, push ups to increase muscle mass & appetite 5. Drink 3 litres water daily (but not with or just before a meal) 6. Avoid junk/heavy snacks as it curbs appetite 7. Get your thyroid level tested 8. Have a sound regular sleep. 9. Avoid skipping meals.

The reason of not gaining weight are * improper diet * indigestion (disease of stomach, loose motions) * worms in intestine * thyroid disorder * diabetes *addiction (smoking or alcoholism) dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. 6. You can try protein powders like endura mass, milk powder, soya protein. And creatinine for weight gain by taking 1 tea spoon added in milk once a day. I assure you that you definitely gain weight fastly by following them. Be healthy

Please note that hormonal imbalance/hereditary/sedentary-lifestyle can also lead to obesity. You need to do tread mill at least 30-45 min daily. Also take your meals at regular intervals -- do not skip meals. But take only 4 meals a day and nothing -nothing (except water) apart this four times. If you feel hungry apart from this 4 times then take cucumber/papaya only and nothing. Do get back to me after 4 weeks.

I am 35 years old female, have dyed my hair a fair few times in the past, although I haven't done so now for about 8 months. Also did used to use a lot of heat styling on my hair, bt do less of it now due to less hair loss.

Never use artificial product on hair without consult to any doctor. These cause hair to damage. Use only one light shampoo and pure oil. Like almond oil or til oil.

follow health advises given below: measure your temperature and tell me reading 1. Avoid exertion 2. Take tablet paracetamol 500 mg after food (If No Drug Allergy) as and when required for fever more than 99 f (maximum 3 tablets with gap of 8 hr can be taken in a day) for 3 days 3. Lot of fluids to be taken 4. Take proper diet homemade food like moong dal dalia, chapati etc. 4. Avoid wearing synthetic and tight cloths. Kindly go for CBC test and consult physician for further management and let me know what medicines you were taking and also tell me if you are having other symptoms like cough/ throat pain/ burning urine/ stomach pain so that we can confirm cause of fever.

What are the symptoms for dengue fever?
The principal symptoms of dengue are: -high fever and at least two of the following: -severe headache -severe eye pain (behind eyes) -joint pain -muscle and/or bone pain -rash -mild bleeding manifestation (nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: -severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting -red spots or patches on the skin -bleeding from nose or gums -vomiting blood -black, tarry stools  -drowsiness or irritability -pale, cold, or clammy skin -difficulty breathing

Hi lybrate-user. Usually a male's height grows till 20-21 years of age, so this may not be your final height. Our height depends on two things - genetics and nutrition. You cannot do anything about the former. For nutrition you can increase the amount of protein in your diet to boost your growth. Stretching exercises like skipping, jumping may help, though there is no scientific proof of it. Most of all you need to know that your height is not at all abnormal. You fall within the range of an average indian male's height. The amount of distress you are expressing at something normal is concerning! no one becomes attractive because they are tall or fair or muscular or any other feature of their body. Attractiveness comes with personality. Focus on developing a healthy and happy personality. People like individuals who are kind, calm, confident and happy. You are just 17. You can learn so many things, do so much. Develop your skills and personality. For your height, you can always wear shoes with a little heel.

Drink more water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. You can take Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid oily foods,junk foods, go for walk. Tests every 3 to 6 months. you can take tab. bencid 500 mg once a day. tab. thyronorm 75mcg once in morning before meal.

Visit a dentist for proper evaluation. Get x ray done n if the decay is extensive, rct n capping'll b done n otherwise a filling ll suffice. There r no home remedies for your prob n visit a dentist asap. Meanwhile take a painkiller such as imol plus twice daily after food.

Not all patients of backache & pain joints need surgery. Most of them can be managed without operation morning stiffness is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be.
