A high uric acid level can be caused when your body either produces too much uric acid or your kidneys don't eliminate uric acid rapidly enough. A high uric acid level may cause increasingly frequent attacks of gout, or it may never cause problems. A high uric acid level may also cause some people to develop kidney stones or kidney failure. And some people with a high uric acid level also develop high blood pressure, heart disease or chronic kidney disease, but it's often unclear whether this is a direct cause or merely an early warning sign of these conditions. Factors that may cause a high uric acid level in your blood include: Diuretic medications (water pills),Drinking too much alcohol,Genetics (inherited tendencies),hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid),Immune-suppressing drugs,Niacin, or vitamin B-3, obesity,psoriasis, Purine-rich diet — organ meat, game meat, anchovies, herring, gravy, dried beans, driedpeas, mushrooms and other foods Renal insufficiency — inability of the kidneys to filter waste Tumor lysis syndrome — a rapid release of cells into the blood caused by certain cancers or by chemotherapy for those cancers,Also, you may be monitored for high uric acid levels when undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer. Avoid protein diets, avoid more milk products. bad habits , fast food/fat/oily,salty foods. Coffee, smoking, alcohol intake. Non-veg., take whole grain,oats,green veg.,plenty of water in day time, 1 glass of water at night before bed. Take tab. Zyloric 100 mg once a day. Tab. Ulracet sos for pain in joints.

Sir, I am going to gym from last friday. I regularly goes for workout every morning. I train about 1 hour. Day by day pain on my chest and shoulder is increasing. What should I do to reduce my pain? Will it keep on. Is this pain bad for my health? What food should I add to my diet? How can I remain healthy? Will any health problem occurs by the gym workout?

Problem is only over strain gym so reduce capacity and tk rest 2 days tk muscle relaxant medicine if it work then ok otherwise a checkup must by orthopedic and physiotherapy.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I am a govt employee. I have to sit on computer from 10.30 to 5 pm. Every night around 1.30 pm, pain in waist starts. Sleeping in different positions does not help. It remains till waking up. What to do.

• Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily • . Avoid bending in front. • Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. • Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. • Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. • Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I have chronic cervical and lumbar spondylosis. I regularly do my exercises. Still I'm suffering with pain. Suggest me a good doctor.

* first correct your sitting posture. Do not bend your lower back. You can use lumber belt for support. * do regular back strength exercises. Move your clockwise and anticlock wise. * do not sleep on very soft bed, sleep on slight hard cotton mattress. * do tadasana and bhjangasana for back strengthening. If you can not understand these asans you can consult me. * take calcium rich diet and calcium and vitamin d supplements regularly. *do not take any heavy weight or heavy work. * if you are over weight then follow a good and effective diet plan to loose some kilos of weight. Hello lybrate user, the symptoms you are describing are similar to what we call claudication. In common language, it is development of symptoms of pain etc in the lower limbs after one does some previously accustomed activity ie one was able to do those activities easily but are causing symptoms now. It occurs due two causes. Firstly, vascular problem causing decreased blood supply to the muscles of the lower limb which is now inadequate to maintain the demands of the muscle while doing activity. Secondly, neurological problem in which there is stenosis in the spinal canal which transmit the nerves from brain to the lower limbs. This stenosis causes decreased space for the nerves and their vessels causing pain in the lower limbs. With the details you have provided, and your profile, it looks more like a spinal canal stenosis. I would suggest you to see a spine surgeon or an orthopaedician for a detailed assessment. I would also suggest you forward bending exercises and exercises to strengthen your abdominal muscles. Hope this helps.

Do take ift and laser therapy for pain relief 10 days followed by strengthening exercise from neuro physiotherapist avoid bending forward do core muscle strengthening exercise do use firm hard and even mattress for sleep best wishes.
