. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. \navoid bending in front. \npostural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a da shoulder advice. Regular stretching of shoulder muscles. Warm up and cool down is a must. Hot fomentation.

Hi, it's a Matter of concern since it's from four years. Better would be to meet an Ortho doctor and he would be able to take you further with the relevant treatment. From immediate and temporary relief you can apply analgesic gels and give hot water fomentation. Wishing you good Health.

I am a 23 year old female. And I feel severe back pain and stomach pain in periods. What should I do?

Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) & general exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated.

Hi * stop running completely or decrease your training. *apply ice to reduce inflammation. *gently stretch your achilles and your calves. *consider cross-training for a while swim, run in the pool or ride a bike. *when you return to running, increase your mileage slowly, no more than 10 percent weekly. *make sure you wear the correct running shoes do reply for detailed treatment plan. Back ache can be due to several reasons. It can be muscular, related to disc degeneration or prolapse, joint irritation or nerve pinching. Most common is muscle pain due to tight and weak back and abdominal muscles. Keep a positive attitude, focus more on keeping good posture especially when sitting for long hours, use lumbar support. Take frequent breaks and stretch in between. Try changing sleeping habits. Try hot or cold therapy as tolerated. Wish you speedy recovery.

Hi lybrate-user, this is because of anxiety, you need to practice deep breathing exercise: find a quiet space where you can be alone with no distractions. Close the door, if possible. As you get used to this breathing exercise, you may be able to close out distractions and perform the exercise around others. Sit upright, with your back straight. You can sit in a chair, or sit on the floor with your legs crossed, whatever feels more natural. You can lie down if you must. Keep in mind, however, that sitting upright allows your lungs to fill to maximum capacity, which is best when practicing deep breathing place your arms on the arms of a chair or resting on your thighs. This removes the burden from your shoulders and aids in relaxation. For a count of four seconds, breathe deeply through your nose. Your lower belly should expand with the breath. For one to two seconds, simply hold the breath inside your chest. Now, exhale all of the air out of your lungs through your mouth. You should hear a" whoosh" sound as it leaves your mouth. Notice your belly deflating as you release the breath. To avoid hyperventilating, pause for a few seconds before taking a new breath. Do this entire sequence again for about five minutes. About six to eight cycles of breathing per minutes is considered effective at relieving anxiety. Nonetheless, you should find your own natural breathing rhythm that makes you comfortable. Practice deep breathing at least twice a day for five minutes each session. All the best.

Dear sir any fracture needs protection. A hairline fracture not treated properly can lead to longstanding pain. Best treatment will be to rest the foot and get it splinted. Plaster of paris/ fibre cast below knee is the best way of protection. Minimum period of 4 weeks.

. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Inform after 5 days.

Take lot of water and fruits. Because of your thyroid problem you might feel like this. Slowly it will be alright when the medicine works. You can gentle stretches for your legs and back to avoid exhaustion.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it doe s not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference?

Please note that too much of standing and sitting at a stretch will cause such problems. Also she needs massage and hot compresses on the affected area. Also take mag phos 6x - twice daily 4 tablets for next 7 days and get back to me for further treatment.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.
