1. For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress, physical and mental strain, hyper acidity, muscular problem 2. Avoid stress and strain 3. Do regular exercise, reduce your weight if over weight. 4. Control your diet. Avoid oily/spicy/fried and junk food, high calorie and cholesterol rich diet. Take small frequent meals (5-6 meals/day instead of three heavy meals. If you have hyper acidity take one tablet of pan 40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days 5. Do yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress. 6. Have sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily. 7. Avoid smoking, alcohol, excess tea/coffee, if you are having 8. Drink plenty of water and take rest 9. Take paracetamol 500mg one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets per day at the time of chest pain 10. If you have recurrent attack of chest pain check your bp, take ecg and consult cardiologist

My wife is a cancer patient (osteosarcoma) her chemotherapy is completed on 25thFebruary 2016 and her period resume on June 23, 2016 and in next month is on 18th July, 2016. We have unprotected sex after 26th day is there any chances of getting pregnant or is it safe for her. please reply soon.

Kindly perform a Pregnancy test with the Pregnancy kit that is available at any nearest medical shop. The safe period for avoiding pregnancy is usually on the Day 1 to 7 at the start of cycle and the last 4-6 days in a normal 26 to 32 days cycle. You might still be on the safe period, but pregnancy test will confirm the same. Since she is under chemotherapy, she might have difficulties to carry out a normal pregnancy. It is better to give her at least 6 months gap from the last cycle of chemo therapy before getting pregnant. Do perform the test at the earliest.

I am 74 years male, after 15 years of my CAB do need to continue my medicine, although my every report is normal. Presently I am taking atorvastatin 10 one every day and revlol 12.5 one every day. I walk 3-4 Km every day plus I do yoga 30 minutes every day.

15 years a long time, continuation of medicines depends on how improved the situation is or how severe it is, as you say the reports are normal in that case your personal doctor may have a more valid answer. Do keep continuing pranayam, avoid refined oil, use pure sarso (mustard) oil or virgin olive oil (cooking grade), do not let excess of fat come to your body.

The ever shrinking world has indeed augmented geographical distances among people, leaving couples to deal with the term Long distance relationship (LDR). Among other things, the distance makes it difficult for partners to deal with their sexual needs.

Dr Sharmila Majumdar, a Hyderabad based sexologist, says, “ Physical intimacy is very important for a good married life. One should learn to appreciate one's physical time together. The absence of it not only drains a relationship but also sucks out the love and respect for each other. In the little time that they get couples should try to make up for their craving for each other."

While it's obviously not possible to be around your partner most of the time, we give you five easy ways to fuel your carnal desires during an LDR.

1. Romantic/ Erotic emails
You think it is not easy? Well! It isn't difficult either. All you have to do is feel him/her beside you. Feel that your fingers are moving around his hair, feel that you are circling certain parts of her body, just feel and type the same down. For eg: I can sense the whiff of your perfume as I kiss your neck and bite your earlobe. I can feel your hair strands on my face, and your hands embracing me. You know your trigger zones, go ahead and speak your heart out.

 

 

2. FaceTime/ Skype (Video Chatting)
Technology has certainly squeezed distances. Dress sexily when you are video chatting with your partner. Each one of you should dress up as if you were going on a date. With applications such as viber and whatsapp ruling the mobile phone, voice messages are quite happening these days. Send across random love notes and teasers on the voice message.

5. Sex 'on' Phone
Fantasy plays a vital role in exciting your desires. Close your eyes and feel the presence of your partner. Talk about the times when you were together, and how you enjoyed the coziness and warmth of each other. As you talk, also share how your body is reacting. For eg. "I am rubbing my toes against each other". "I am biting my lips", "I am embracing myself", "I am playing with my hair" all of these and many more will fan the fire of your longing for each other. Sweet signs and moans during the conversation will take you both to another level.

Mr. Lybrate-user, your creatinine level is within normal range and you need not to worry with this level. You should be having normal protein diet, need not any restrictions for protein intake.

Do 1. Before travelling do not take spicy or heavy meals. 2. Do not sit facing backwards from your direction of travel. 3. Sit in the front seat of a car. 4. Do not read while traveling. 5. When traveling by car keep your gaze fixed on the horizon or on a fixed point 6. Do not smoke, 7. Get fresh air if possible. 8. Do not talk/ listen/ think abt motion sickness 9. Listen to music and take deep breathing 10 solve some mental puzzle 11. Keep drinking small amount of water to keep hydrated 12. Can take carbonated beverage. You will be better.

Coughing during the night can really wreak havoc for your sleep and cause inexplicable discomfort in the throat and chest region. Thankfully, you can manage it by soothing your tickling throat as well as sensitive airways before you go to bed at night. 

  1. Drink herbal tea: A mugful of non-caffeinated tea mixed with a teaspoon of honey before going to bed can help you to a considerable extent. This is because any warm liquid has the power to break down the formation of mucus in the throat region and with a bit of honey, the herbal tea becomes even more powerful.
  2. Try to sleep in an inclining position: Gravity is your greatest enemy while combating night-time cough. When you lie down flat on your back at night, all the mucus and dust particles, which you have swallowed all through the day, would accumulate in the throat area and aggravate it making more cough. But you can easily defy gravitational force by piling up some pillows and prop yourself on them while sleeping. You may also keep a wooden block of 4 inches height under your head, which would keep the acids in the stomach so that they don’t come up to irritate your throat.
  3. Make sure you use the steam cautiously: When your airways are dry, it can make you cough harder. Therefore, you may find relief if you take a warm shower or a bath before going to bed. But you have to be sure that you don’t have asthma as steam can prove harmful for you.
  4. Check the level of humidity: Humidifiers are known to soothe the problem of persistent coughing when the surrounding air is dry. But too much of moisture during the night can also make you cough. This is because dust mites, mold and other allergens thrive well in the damp air and they could conspire to make your cough even worse. So, pick up a cheap hygrometer from a hardware store and see that the humidity level stays within 40 to 50 percent.
  5. Equip yourself at night: Keep all the things from drops to water to cough syrup or anything that soothes coughing at your bedside so that you can help yourself in case you wake up in the middle of the night and start coughing.

A burning sensation with urination can be caused by infectious (including sexually transmitted infections, or STDs such as chlamydia and gonorrhea) and noninfectious conditions, but it is most commonly due to bacterial infection of the urinary tract affecting the bladder drink lot's of water if feeling painful then see to your doctor.

I am 25 year female and continue to have Vitamin B12 and D3 problem, inspite of taking injections and medicine courses for months the problems reccure again after few months. I am a pure vegetarian, not even eggatarian.

Vitb12 can be obtained from only animal products/dairy products. U need to take suppliments for it. Take milk , cheese, yogurt and other dairy products. Vit d rich foods are mushrooms, meat liver, cheese, egg yolk, codliver oil, fish , soy milk. Daily exposure to sunlight for 30 min is essential. Get ur level checked after 6 months.
