Some said it as Epiloia and some said as Keloid. But I don't know what is that. I m fedup with the medicines. And I am losing my hair very badly. Kindly suggest.

Bad breath (halitosis) can be caused by a variety of things, including diet, medication, poor oral hygiene, and diseases or conditions such as diabetes, GERD, lactose intolerance, gum disease, and more. Treatment for bad breath depends on the cause. Medications that cause a dry mouth can trigger bad breath.

Fibre Rich Diet - 10 Foods You Must Include In Your Diet!

Fibre Rich Diet - 10 Foods You Must Include In Your Diet!

Fibre is crucial for proper digestion and 85 % immunity of the human body is due to digestion alone. Scientists have recently concluded after years of study that the human brain and gut are indeed connected. This leads us to the question whether we are looking after our guts to stay healthy and fit for years to come?

Consider this modern diets have left millions worldwide with deficiency of fibre. And, this is really alarming because high - fibre foods help to guard against cancer, heart disease, kidney stones, PMS, obesity and diabetes.

Fibre comes in two varieties- soluble and insoluble. Soluble fibre turns to gel in the stomach, slowing digestion, which helps lower cholesterol and blood sugar. Insoluble fibre remains untouched all the way to the large intestine aiding in proper evacuation of the GI tract. Since fibre is never absorbed into the body, you have to eat sufficient quantities of it every day. Experts suggest that you need 25-38 gm of fibre each day in your diet. But how do you get this amount?

Here is a list of 10 high- fibre foods for jacking-up fibre content

  1. Legumes like split peas or ‘dals’: Fibre content - 16.3 gm per cup. Eaten as a staple food in India, split peas are full of proteins and fibre. They can be had in soup, stew and dal form.
  2. Lentils like quinoaFibre content -  15.6 gm per cup. They are also good source of protein, iron, folate, manganese and phosphorous.
  3. Artichokes: Fibre - 10.3 gm per medium vegetable. Reservoir of vitamins A, C, E, B, K, potassium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorous, Artichokes are one of the top most high antioxidant food.
  4. Peas: Fibre - 8.8 gm per cup. They are also filled with protein, Omega-3s, vitamins and folates and contain insoluble fibres
  5. BroccoliFibre - 5.1 gm per cup. A power packed cruciferous vegetable, full of anti-oxidants.
  6. Brussels sproutsFibre - 4.1 gm per cup. Contains  balance of soluble and insoluble fibre apart from nutrients like vitamins C, K, B1, B2, B6, folate and manganese.
  7. Oatmeal: Fibre 4 gm per cup. Great for breakfast with milk!
  8. Flax seeds: Fibre - 3 gm per tablespoon: Tonnes of nutrients are packed in the humble flax seeds. They contain protein, thiamine, manganese, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, Omega-3 fatty acids and fibre. They reduce cholesterol and help ease symptoms of menopause.
  9. Avocados: Fibre 6.7 gm per half fruit raw. Pack with the goodness of vitamin C, E, B6, folate, vitamin K and potassium. Contain healthy fats that help to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease.
  10. Pears: Fibre - 5.5 gm per medium fruit. This fruit contains Omega-6 fatty acids which helps keep the cells in brain and nerves healthy.

I haven't been able to sleep since 2 days and I am having a severe headache, tried multiple home remedies, but didn't...
Hell lybrate user- this might be due to following reasons so try to avoid them- a) sleeping in day time. B) going to bed late (generally after 10 pm). C) lack of hair oiling. D) excessive intake of spicy and fried diet and less intake of sweets. Avoid these reasons and use mahabhringraj hair oil for head massage daily before going to bed, you will get relief quickly.

Dear Sir/ Madam, I am 28 years old preparing for civil services. I was the most confident guy before my breakup which happened in April 2014. She moved on with someone else and asked me to stay friends. I rejected the idea. I didnt contacted her after that. But I went through a strange emotional storm inside. I was unable to study, I was unable to do anything. The only thing on mind was her. I cried a lot during this period. It affected my grades. First time in last 3 yrs I was unable to crack the prelims ( the first stage of exam) because I had only one thing on my mind. There was period of confusion. My focus affected. Then in last September, I bumped into her and her new boyfriend. I acted cool. I shook hands with both. Chatted a bit and left. I was confident. But after I came home, the depressed feelings relapsed. I kept crying. Same period of confusion again engulfed. Days were dark, mainly spent in sleeping. I lost around 10 kg of weight. Unable to control emotions. Worst form of Anxiety, Panic attacks. Even went through post traumatic Stress disorder. But I didnt contact her. Somehow, pick myself up around November. But still not completely. But she sent me text which was supposed to be for her new boyfriend by mistake. It again caused Anxiety. But I somehow managed to control it. Now In March 2015. I am in control of myself and my emotions. Sometimes there is still nostalgia and some remaining feelings. It doesnt affect much now. I dont cry. But now I am not the same. Its difficult to focus back on studies, which I am trying to regain. Slowly, rebuilding my confidence, but I am not that confident as I was. This years exam is coming, I want to start studying just like the way I used to. I dont want the thoughts to put me down again. I want to live healthy - emotionally and physically. Yes gym and running helped me lot last year. What should I do and what should I avoid to keep my focus on studies and forget about past? Also I am afraid of going back into those state of dark days, So how should I avoid that? I have also became a procrastinator, which I never was. I have got myself back, but still feel something is still missing in life, sometimes feels lonely! I request you to help me to get out of it. To get over her completely.

Hypnotherapist, DCS, BSIC, Advanced Trainee of Transactional Analysis, Advanced Skills in Counselling
Psychologist,
It's not easy to overcome a broken romantic relationship but it's not impossible also. You seem to have a strong fight back spirit and you can use it to your benefit every time life throws something unpalatable at you. It may not be possible to forget the past completely but how you look and remember it is in your hands. Remember the good and bad things about her and the relationship. Give yourself time to heal. Don't judge yourself because nobody is perfect. Regarding your exams, I do notice that you are a serious student with some dreams. If you are not able to achieve those dreams due to any reason for which you are the cause. Then you know who to hold responsible. If you want your dreams and aspirations to come true then you have to work towards it. Set yourself a bigger goal like 80% in exams. Split it into daily/ weekly/monthly achievable goals and start working daily. Remove or reduce any activity which will hinder your progress towards your goals. Add activities which will help you. Put up your goal ona piece of paper somewhere in your room where you can see it everyday and let it sink into your psyche. For this month let your sole aim be to crack the exams. Other problems can wait and be tackled later. Relaxing is important as studies. Do whtever helps you to relax. Eating on time, hydrating yourself, exercising, sleeping well will all help you to remain focussed and full concentration on your work. Remember that Arjun had only the fish's eye in his vision. He had cut off everything else in that moment. Regarding those dark days and feeling. The more you reject them, they will follow you around. Just accept them and don't fight them. They will vanish like magic. Inner Child Meditations will help you address this issue and soothe and calm the mind. All the best.

My wife is suffering from adnexal hemorrhagic cyst in uterus.what is the treatment for this?

DGO, MD, MRCOG, CCST, Accredation in Colposcopy
Gynaecologist, Kolkata
It depends on the size and symptoms. If less than 5 cm and relatively pain free then a trial of oral contraceptive pills can be done for three months followed by a repeat USG.
