Hi, Take tab R-Compound 1 tab 3 times a day and tab Shallaki 1 tab 3 times after food. Take Maharasnadi Kashaya 3 tsf thrice a day after diluting it with equal quantity of water. Apply Rhumatil gel to the affected joints and gently massage for 10-15 mins in circular motion and then give hot water fomentation. Do this for one week continuously.

Joint Replacement - Things To Avoid & Follow!

Joint Replacement Surgery is a procedure where the damaged surface of the advanced arthritic joints are removed and replaced by artificial joints, such as metallic, plastic and ceramic joints. These surfaces closely replicate the original anatomy.

When do you need a knee replacement?
When you suffer from severe pain or deformity in the joint (knee in this case), the pain or stiffness and deformity makes it difficult to perform simple tasks. Severe grade IV osteoarthritic knees of  people over 50 years when have pain, swelling and deformity fail to respond to medicines, physiotherapy, injections and rest.

Aim of the surgeryCorrect the deformity: Relieve the pain and give near full movements almost immediately after the procedure. Details including techniques and safety, it is a safe, rewarding surgery with a success rate of as high as 99.5% when done by an able and experienced professional.

Anaesthesia: Usually it is the spinal cord epidural where one is rendered numb for 3 to 4 hours waist down. Sometimes a general anaesthesia is given. A 4 to 5 inches cut is made in front of the knee and all the damaged cartilages, bones, loose bodies are removed from the lower end of the thigh, upper end of the tibia (usually of few millimetres) and the surface re-crafted to match the size and shape of the artificial joint (it is usually imported). They are fixed with bone cement. The ligaments and muscles are reattached and the parts closed.

Recovery: Stand up and walk a few steps with a walker the day after the procedure i.e. in 24 hours. Physiotherapy in hospital for 5 to 7 days and/or walking. progressively longer walks and exercises over the following 15 days. Stitches are removed in 15 days. The patient can return back to normal activity in 4 to 8 weeks the surgery.

Activities: Normal walks of 3 to 5 km per day Climbing stairs, cycling, swimming, and driving can be performed with the new implant(s) now.

Avoid: Squatting/kneeling Prohibited: contact sports like football, cricket, tennis; jumping; adventure sports Longevity of joints: 15-35 years depending on the materials used.

I have problem for the foot. Before 3 months ago on the time of playing football my openent player kikked to my foot. After its have pain so I rested 1 month. Now do not have pain but if I run or play then the pain come g again.

Seems that I cannot walk. Our suggestion would be to do hot water fermentation along with Cold (ice) therapy. Pain in the ankle is due to constant pressue which falls during standing and walking activities, as ankle is such a stong joint and it generaly leads to ankle dislocation in majority of the cases. After applying Ice, ankle brace to restrict the joint movement thereby it will make you to feel comfortable and also it will enhace quik healing. To divert the weight fallling on the injured ankle you can improve the blood circulation to the particular injured area by doing hot water fermentation and I also suggest you to wear MCR chappals to divert the weight falling on the injured ankle.

Keep ice in the area where you have pain/or where the muscle is injured. This is a general strain due to excessive walking or standing and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5 to 10 minutes. One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain.

Avoid bending in front. • Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. • Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

If your proximal joints (ie. Shoulder, elbow, hip & knee) then you can do hot water fermentation in that area to reduce the inflammation. If you have pain in the distal joints ie. Wrist, fingers, ankle, toes then you can wear then you can do hot water fermentation in that area to reduce the inflammation. Please wear Knee Brace / Elbow Brace / Wrist Brace so that you will feel warm, comfortable and very protective. However if the pain initially starts in the distal joints then we shall definitely say it is Rheumatic arthritis. Knee cap will also help to prevent the damaged cartilages. And also immerse the distal joints in the hot water tub which will help you to reduce the pain.

• Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. This is cervical pain (neck pain) and that's the reason the pain radiates until the shoulder blades. If you keep ice that would help to reduce the pain and feel relaxed and comfortable. You shall also do hot water fermentation that would improve the blood circulation to the painful area and thereby the pain would be reduced. You shall use cervical collar which would help you to reduce the radiating pain and also that would improve the cervical angle and improve the anatomical posture.
