My father is addicted to alcohol. I want him to leave this. Can you suggest me some ways which I can do ti let him leave drinking.

Hi can understand your concern no person who is addicted will want to get treated or will admit that he has a problem. Firstly as a son wud advise you be suggestive with your father do not get angry or instruct him. Try taking him for opd treatment some medication will help him on physical level and counselling as well. If not contact a senior a member who can come home and talk to your father it will really help. Immediate help is important he will motivate him. Do not worry things will take positive turn but you be calm and patient handle him with care. When there is someone suffering from illness how you handle it? in same manner you have to tackle it at times it may require some time.

Hello quit it now and focus on your health. Make it your goal not just coz of your marriage. Exercises and drinking of lot water and sharing will help do not worry too much about it. Avoid triggers like tea/coffee particular food items etc which will give you the urge to smoke avoid friends who smoke. Set a reminder in your mobile every one hour saying you do not have to smoke indulge in hobbies spen more time building relations. Read listen to nice music eat ice cream. Gud health proper intake of food positive mindset gud sleep and exercises will help you.

Hi you r just seventeen and half so your curiosity is understandable. It is also said that life without alcohol/wine keeps you healthy. Choice is urs. Now you need to focus on your goals priorities n not to worry about unwanted things. Exercise regularly study cultivate your hobbies and keep your self mentally fit n healthy. Have fruit juices coconut water. What is gud for health n what is not you have to decide you are an adult do not fall prey to such statements and articles it is always debatable. There are other means and ways to derive goodness ok.

I am addicted to pan masala and tobacco.(most commonly rajnigandha tulsi. I really want to quit not j ust because it harms my body but because it doesn't go with my personality and social status, people I sit with in my office or society. Please help.

You want to quit coz you feel so consult your family Dr. In case you may face withdrawal problem. Drinking lots of water exercises keeping your empty time engaged in hobbies avoiding internal n external triggers. Hello its a wake up call so decide now and quit it completely you can consult your family Dr. He may prescribe you few medicines in case you face problem due to sudden quitting. Do not stress urself just take it each day as it comes drink lots of water try elaichi or clove when you get the urge to smoke avoid particular places typical food items friends do brisk walking. Share with someone close to you as n when you feel the urge to smoke. Do not use any kind of substitution. Read books listen to nice music.

I am not able to quit smoking trying hard but no results. Any substitute to this?

Hello its gud to know that you want to quit smoking do not attach any reasons for it do it coz you want to. Drink plenty of water exercise brisk walking will help. Avoid friends places tea coffee particular food items which will trigger you to smoke. Share your smoking thoughts with someone close to you take his/her help. Set a reminder in your moblle after every hour. Change your passwords to something motivating like quit@smoking I want to live etc it will help you positively. Take it each day as it comes.

Hi its a debatable question as to healthy consumption of alcohol there is no hard and fast authentic info abt it every Dr. All over the world has a different opinion. Does anyone bitten by mosquito get malaria? dengue? it depends upon several factors its the same in addiction who will get caught in it no one knows as of now you are able to handle it its ok. Even if you consume rarely or smoke rarely no dependancy shud be there coz even if its one drink or one smoke if there is any kind of physical or mental dependancy there is a problem which needs to be addressed. There are other things in life where you can focus on than such secondary things.

Hello congrats that you want to quit smoking have you decided finally then do not wait do it now. Apni zindagi pyari hain na? sahed apne haath main hain. Internal damage dikhta nahin to precautions abhi se le lo. Bahut paani pina chalna jyada apne aapko kisi ache kaam main lagao. Gardening reading cooking etc jo accha lage ga woh karo. Ek ghante ka alarm lagaye. Roj khud ko thx bolo ki aap kamyab rahen. Shuru main peppemint ki goli khaye dheere use band karo. Change your associations related to smoking bahut jaroori hain.

I am 21 years old male, i'm into substance abuse for 2 and half years (Marijuana) which leads me to manic massive depression and it's getting even worst every time I stop smoking please help. I can't focus on anything studies, daily life activities etc.

Hello you need to consult a psychiactrist with immediate effect. Affter effects of marijuana can be very bad it affects the brain to a grt extent. It affects your concentration focus and basic abilities to do something. They are depressants.
