I am having a pug dog. He is going to be 5 years in coming April. Recently he got wounds on his body so we got his tests done. As per them his Globulin- 5, normal- 3.7 neutrophil count - 86, normal- 76 total leucocyte count- 35, normal- 17 please suggest whether its something serious & precautions we need to take.

MVSc
Veterinarian,
As per what I know Normal globulin levels - 1.6 to 3.6 g/dl (3.7) Neutrophils count - 60 to 70 % (86) Total leucocyte count - 4 to 15.5 (35) Here leucocyte and Neutrophils count may have been little higher becoz of wound. Nothing to worry as per the blood results.

Hi, My dog is very lazy and not energetic at all can any one suggest any medicine to make him aggressive.

MVSc
Veterinarian,
Hi, Actually no medications can bring it to active expect u, you r the medicine, just spend more time with it and play with it a lot. I think you r not spending time with it and no one is there around the dog and it's all alone in home, becoz of it slowly its behaviour would have changed. Can you kindly mention its age and breed. Thank You.

My dog (libra breed) becomes unconscious for few minute by last two days. What precaution we should take for this and suggest some medicine. I think this will happen due to winter.

MVSc
Veterinarian,
What's your pet age, did you vaccinate your pet, is it showing convulsions and seizures, is it having ocular discharge, pimples in lower abdomen, did you deworm it, is this condition came before, Kindly explain me clearly so that I can diagnose accurately and give the medications for the correct disease condition.

HI, I have a budgie, he is not able 5 o walk or fly, seems too week, I tried to search the some symptoms on YouTube, seems like she is suffering from egg binding issue, can any vet so treatment for this, most of the best seems helpful to dogs not sure about birds.

MVSc
Veterinarian,
It's most commenly seen in birds which are going to lay egg for the first time. If the egg is stuck far inside or near the cloaca. Its possible for a bound egg to be massaged out. We can also try giving warm water bath or even a steam room. This can help relax the muscles, which may help the hen pass the egg on its own. Or else we have to break the egg inside and remove its parts through cloaca.

Hi, I am very worried about my parrot as from yesterday she was not eating food and her feather also show little fluffy kindly tell me what I have to due or where I have to go for her care? Please suggest me.

MVSc
Veterinarian,
Sometimes it may be becoz of nutrientional defect it feathers may be ruffled. In such cases you can give nutritional supplements. In case of any discharge from nose, mouth, or diahorrea. Antibiotics or deworming medication should be given.

Hi, My dog nails has turned blood red and he keeps on licking it. Please suggest me.

MVSc
Veterinarian,
Kindly explain in detail, The redness is due to injury. Since how long it's been seen, Is any other part of your dog body has same lesion. If it's primary injury or slight infection, U can apply povidone iodine solution 3 to 4 times daily on the affected area.

Hi my dog got bit by another stray dog. I just wanted to ask whether he needs to be injected again.

MVSc
Veterinarian,
If your dog is already vaccinated with anti rabies vaccine, then no injection is needed. If the due is over than your pet should be given antirabies injection, 3 to 5 dose according to severity of wound.

Is it safe and healthy to feed grains/deep-fried (savyien) to birds, routinely for birds' well-being?

MVSc
Veterinarian,
Don't give fried things to birds. U can give them raw or soaked in water. Rarely you can boil them and give.

You can use pet joint or cool joint supplements, if your rabbit is below 5 kgs, you can give 1/4th tablet pet joint daily. It works good.
