I have shooting pains in my leg. Along with numbness and a sensation of needles pricking. What should I do?

BPTh/BPT, MIAP

I have shooting pains in my leg. Along with numbness and a sensation of needles pricking. What should I do?
It may be due to weakness of muscles or nerves causing difficulty in blood flow to your legs. Or it may be due to slip disc of back at lumbar region resulting in sciatic nerve compression causing radiating pain & numbness from lower back till legs. You should go for physiotherapy treatment for it to reduce pain & numbness and to improve muscle power of back & legs. You can visit me for physiotherapy treatment. Or you can consult me in private for free consultation.

Get yourself checked by a neuro surgeon. Then if required get MRI done. But before that a doctor needs to see to look for the problem and probable cause.

Hello Deep... There are no major side effects... But it is not useful to take Vitamin B12 only... Also treat the cause of deficiency so that it does not occur again... You can consult me at lybrate for proper treatment.. Otherwise neurokind is a good product..

Hello Madhu You already know the trigger factors so it's best to avoid all those things which lead to headache. You can take homeopathic treatment to control the frequency and intensity of your attacks and over a period of time your allopathic medicine can be stopped.

My mother 65 years recently she got Brain stroke and get paralysis right hand right leg .now giving physiotherapy continues. inform any better solutions of Ayurveda .or any particular yogas and best panchakarmA. Sugest the better way sir.

DNB (Neurosurgery, MS - General Surgery, MBBS
Neurologist, Delhi
The area damaged due to brain stroke recovers on its own depending upon the severity of damage. The standard medicines are blood thinners (ecosprin and clopidogrel). Physiotherapy helps a lot. Do not have much idea of ayurveda or any alternative medicine. Till now there has been no drug/ method to reverse the neurological damage.
