Tie two cubes of ice in a cloth and massage it on your face every night before you go off to bed. Place an ice cube on acne and you'll find a considerable reduction in redness and swelling.

I have a hair fall problem, I consulted many doctors all are said this is because of hormonal imbalance and gave mx5% mx10% lotions but while using them hair fall will stop but again it will start as soon as I stop applying that to scalp so I am thinking to do hair transplantation. How much it will cost and is it permanent because again if transplanted hairs fall due to hormonal imbalance than no meaning in hair transplanting. Please give me suggestion on this.

Aloe vera is good but apply garden fresh. However its full effects are visible and all skin dark, pimples etc can be addressed fully if you go systematically. Do intestinal cleansing, do detoxification by herbal bitters, do raktashodhan by herbs, modify diet, apply classic combo of 'varnya gana' herbs after proper skin cleansing, derma care and hydration - all by herbs and economically. No body can stop improvement. If interested for further details and/or ready customised solutions, pl consult online.

Baking Soda Take some baking soda. Mix some water with the baking soda and apply this mixture on the pimple marks. Baking soda serves as an agent that carries out micro dermabrasion on the skin and helps to clear the pimple marks on the face and body. Vitamin A helps by healing the skin and by helping facilitate quick growth of the skin while removing the scars. Using tomatoes to help heal the scars on the skin is not a lengthy process, but it is rather simple. Just take a tomato, slice it and make it into a pulp. Apply the pulp on the face and leave it on for twenty minutes’ time. Then, wash it off with some warm water. You could also mix cucumbers with it. Make a paste out of all of cucumbers and tomatoes and apply as a face mask. Leave it on for half an hour and wash it with some cool water. Follow this method two days at a time every week and observe the results.

4 Ayurvedic Remedies For Acne!

Acne is a skin condition that is characterized by formation of red bumps on your skin. It usually occurs when you have oily skin wherein, the pores of your skin may get clogged by impurities thus, resulting in acne breakouts. It may also result from the inflammation of the skin wherein, the immune system tries to get rid of the bacteria on the skin.

According to Ayurveda, acne stems from the imbalance of the doshas, primarily the “pitta dosha”. The imbalance of the “dosha” leads to accumulation of toxins in the face, which, in turn, tend to pose impediments for energy circulation in the face.

The various Ayurvedic remedies for acne are:

  1. Diet: Diet is an important factor to consider when it comes down to the treatment of acne since what you eat is directly linked to your skin health. Limit eating oily and fried food as they tend to aggravate sebum production on your face. Include plenty of green vegetables in your diet as they provide essential vitamins to nourish your skin.

  2. Exercise: Make sure you exercise on regular basis as it improves circulation in the body. It also keeps your weight in check thus, reducing the risk of cardiac and metabolic disorders. It also facilitates removal of toxins from your body.

  3. Cleanse your face on a regular basis: You must follow a proper skincare regimen where you wash your face with a herbal soap at least twice daily. Don’t use harsh soaps as they can strip your face of all the essential oils, thus indirectly leading to overproduction of oil. Cleaning your face regularly is important to remove the dirt from your face, which otherwise may cause clogged pores, resulting in acne.

  4. Use herbs: Herbs like neem and aloevera as they are good for your skin and they help in reducing the bacteria that lead to acne. You may also use lemon juice as a toner as it has certain properties that reduce oil production and tones the skin. It also has astringent properties, which facilitate tightening of the skin thus, closing the opened pores. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Ayurveda.

Dear Lybrate User, Pimples/ Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) Excess sebum production due to androgens 2) Excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) Infection of Propionibacterium acnes (P. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) Local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of P. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire On entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take Homoeopathic CALCAREA PHOS 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach Also you can apply Homoeopathic Mother Tincture BERBERIS AQUIFOLIUM Q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples. Kindly note that this medication may not be sufficient enough to take care of your problem. These medicines are based on the symptoms of your diseased condition & these medicines need to be complemented by further deep-acting remedies in order to permanently eliminate the underlying cause of the disease. So I would suggest you to consult me privately via Lybrate as it is very necessary to diagnose the proper underlying cause of your problem if you are wishing for a permanent relief from your problems. A permanent annihilation of the underlying cause of the disease will not only provide you relief from your troubles but it will also cease any chance of further relapse of that particular disease condition.

Sir, my age is 23 years (male). I have pain in my facial skin. How I improve it texture and pain?
Start taking naturamore male powder 1 spoon daily in morning and evening for 1 month. This will definitely give you results. As the Powder is rich in Omega 3, it will help you with the pain. Just inform me if you are not getting the powder. And as for the texture, you can use mixture of bengal gram powder, honey, lemon and water in a paste form and apply it on your face. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash it off. Do this twice a week. Take care. :)

I have problem of dark circles. Please tell me how to remove even I take proper sleep rest.

MBBS, DNB (Dermatology)
Dermatologist, Mumbai
I have problem of dark circles. Please tell me how to remove even I take proper sleep rest.
Dark circles are fairly common problem many people face. While ageing is the primary cause of dark circles, but with the changing lifestyle, hectic work schedule and poor nutrition, more and more people are facing dark circles. Those who are anaemic, are stresses out, have poor digestion, stay dehydrated or have a family history of dark circles are more prone to dark circles. Skin around eyes is the thinnest and that is why poor blood circulation in that particular area appears more prominently in the form of blue/black eyes. The best treatment to treat dark circles is to increase oxygen circulation in your body with the help of exercises, yoga. Taking break between hectic work schedule and splashing your eyes with cold water 2-3 times a day is helpful. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, have a balanced diet, eat more iron and zinc containing foods like dates, nuts and dry fruits. Many topical creams that contain kojic acid helps to reduce dark circles but they should be taken after consulting a good dermatologist only. Some latest treatments like light therapy, skin resurfacing and injectable fillers give faster and long lasting results, but before you choose one it's important to determine the cause.

Hi lybrate-user if you have fungal infection, then it won't go with shaving etc. Its better to consult a qualified dermatologist in your city, as you have developed blisters, it is probably contact dermatitis its better to avoid intercourse during this time.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, kindly note that the mammary glands are composed of only fat. So to increase the size of the breasts fat must get accumulated at the lower part of nipple. Take homoeopathic onosmodium 1m, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach. Also you need to take homoeopathic mother tincture sabal serrulata q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. Along with the aforesaid oral medicines you can massage any breast-developing oil available in market. Remember to massage the oil from downwards to upwards. Start from the lower part of the nipple & massage the oil upwards.
