Hi my son teeth is very big and unbalanced his age is 12 year please tell me how to solve the problem.
Your son is a 12 year old, but the permanent teeth which are erupting in his mouth are of the size of a fully grown adult, this is absolutely normal. The size will get matched as he grows up. If the teeth are not in a proper order or crooked in nature, please consider consulting an orthodontist, or a child specialist dentist.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with capping of your rct treated tooth. You may consult me in person too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

My teeth are yellow so what is the solution to make it white?

BDS
Dentist,
My teeth are yellow so what is the solution to make it white?
There is a procedure known as bleaching which will whiten your teeth. First scaling and polishing of the teeth is performed followed by bleaching with lasers. Brushing keeps your teeth clean, free from decay and deposits but every person has his/her own natural colour of teeth so you cannot change your teeth colour by brushing but with bleaching we can. Consult the dentist to undergo this procedure of bleaching.

In your case pain must be because of dental cavity. It will require proper oral hygiene care along with filling or root canal treatment of the concerned teeth. You must avoid sticky, hard and sweet food items to prevent toothache.

How Toothache and Headache Are Related?

MDS
Dentist, Delhi
How Toothache and Headache Are Related?

One of the main reasons of a severe headache is a prolonged toothache. Toothaches are extremely painful and can prevent you from enjoying your food. It becomes difficult to speak if toothache is unbearable.

Causes of Toothache:

  1. Tooth decay.

  2. Tooth fracture resulting from an accident.

  3. A painful infection at the root of your teeth or your gums. This is known as tooth abscess.

  4. Chewing gum continuously and grinding the teeth.

How does toothache cause headache?

Sometimes, a tooth becomes very inflamed and since the nerve endings are connected to the brain, this, in turn makes the pain travel to different parts of your head. Generally, people with bad cavities or caries have major headaches and migraines.

The inside of a tooth consists of a pulp. This pulp can get infected. If this tooth happens to lie in the upper jaw, then the pain is transferred to the head which can cause a severe headache.

Headaches can also be caused by TMJD (Temporomandibular joint dysfunction). This usually occurs spreading from the face, jawline and neck right up to the head. In extreme cases, the jaws might be locked up and it makes clicking or grinding noises. Misalignment of the teeth can be a cause by TMJD which in turn affects the head greatly.

Treatments:

  1. If you are detected with TMJD, your jaws need to be healed, first thing you should do is to visit an expert dentist in order to get the underlying cause of toothache treated. It is always recommended to get a proper treatment started, do not emphasize the use of self-medications.
  2. If the headache persists due to toothache, it is advisable to take a painkiller as prescribed by your dentist.
  3. Use an ice pack or a towel dipped in cold icy water, and hold it against the area of toothache. Do not put ice directly on your tooth as it might increase the pain ten folds due to tooth sensitivity.
  4. You can also apply numbing gel so that your tooth stops hurting. This in turn, will make your headache reduce.
  5. Toothache is also caused by small amounts of food which get stuck inside your teeth or between your gums, so it is necessary to clean your teeth thoroughly and floss it regularly to avoid toothache.
  6. Avoid chocolates and sweets. If you still get a cavity, you should visit your dentist immediately.
  7. Dental abscess also causes headache. In this situation, a root canal treatment is recommended.

My lips remain chapped always from last 12 years. and my corners of mouth are cracked from both sides that's too from last 12 years. Please suggest me.

BDS, MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Mumbai
You have most like a vitamin deficiency (B group and E) along with a fungal (Candidal) infection. Since your age is showing 90 years I am assuming you either have no teeth or very few teeth which results in something called 'loss of vertical dimension' that is face height decreases and saliva drooling occurs. So you need both dental and medical treatment for this condition. A prosthodontist such as myself can treat your problem well.

You are probably suffering from inflammation of gums that is gingivitis. You need cleaning (scaling) immediately, though it's a slow process but over a period of time it will erode your bone which once lost cannot be replenished. So consult your dentist and get the scaling done.
