5 ways to keep mouth ulcers away

Canker sores, or mouth ulcers are small, painful, oval shaped contusions which can form anywhere inside the mouth. It is caused due to gastrointestinal problems in the stomach, excessive emotional stress, hormonal changes, braces, orthodontics, baggy dentures and several other factors.

Hasten the cure for mouth ulcers naturally by following these 5 tips.

1. Light food: be very particular about your food. Avoid spicy food having too much chillies or salt as it can irritate the sores leading to more lesions protruding in your mouth. Try eating stuff at room temperature until your ulcers do not heal.

2. Keep changing toothpastes: toothpastes contain sodium laurye sulphate which can trigger irritation in ulcers. So it is advised to change your toothpastes frequently and make dental flossing an everyday regime. Use a toothbrush with soft bristles to brush your teeth.

3. Diet: most diseases are directly or indirectly caused due to stomach disturbances or indigestion. Hence, you must prepare a proper diet plan to follow. Increase the intake of zinc, iron, carbohydrates, proteins, b12, vitamins and minerals. Avoid acidic fruits such as lemon, strawberries and oranges as it may pester more sores.

4. Ointments and gels: there are many ointments/gels available in the market to cure mouth ulcers which are safe to use inside the mouth. Please check with doctor for the right prescription.

5. Hydration and relaxation: drink as much water as you can, it washes away all the impurities from your body and helps in minimizing the sores; try replacing artificial toothpastes with natural ones; take rest, relax and avoid stress.

Cut down flu risk through regular exercise

Cold and flu are common problems which spans across all seasons and affects all age groups, kids and elders alike. However a flu or a viral infection leaves you very weak and vulnerable. A good routine of exercise is the easiest way to keep such infections at bay.

Regular exercise plays an important role in building your immunity against a flu infection. If you exercise for a minimum of 2.5 hours every week, your chances of contracting a flu infection are drastically reduced by almost 10 percent. However it is important that you exercise moderately and on a regular basis to protect your body against the flu.

An effective exercise schedule would involve 150 minutes of moderate exercise such as brisk walking, gardening etc every week. This can also be substituted by 75 minutes/week of vigorous exercise which includes running, playing a sport, aerobics etc. And 2 days for muscle strengthening exercises. Incorporate any one of these regimes in your daily schedule and follow them without fail, as they are the most fool-proof method to prepare your body for the fight against the flu virus.

Hello, yes the pain could be referred pain from your teeth. Take analgesic eg tab. Diclofenac 50 mg as and when required.

Hello pcod can have some effect on fertility and it usually depends on the extent of disease and your lifestyle. And don't worry regarding conceiving because you can definitely conceive and give birth to a healthy baby either normally without any medications or with some medications if there is some difficulty in conceiving. Best treatment of pcod is to do regular aerobic exercises, reduce your weight and eat healthy food, avoid saturated fats. And by modifying your lifestyle this way you might not need any medications. In case of animal bite, wash the wound thoroughly with soap and running tap water for 15-20 mins and do not apply any indigenous herbs over it. Get tt injection. And visit your doctor so that they can decide if you need anti-rabies vaccine/serum or not.

Hello, take a good proteinaceous diet along with fruits and vegetables. Proteins sources could be whey protein supplement, milk, soya, eggs. Also drink water and electrolyte solution during and after your swimming session, because the water of pool is high in chlorine and it can cause dehydration in your body and cause electrolytes imbalance and cramping of your muscle.

Try not to lie down immediately after the dinner because when you eat food your food pipes lower opening remains open/ not closed properly; so it may lead to reflux of your stomach acid into food pipe and in long term it may cause symptoms like chest pain and all.

7 Health conditions that affect both men and women

A man and woman’s bodies are completely different from each other. Therefore, men and women are affected by different diseases at different ages and conditions. But there are quite a few diseases that are common in women but, are also found in men. Some of those diseases are-

Breast cancer- It’s a popular but false conception that only females have breasts. The reality is that males have breasts too! Men are affected by breast cancer, though not as frequently as women, but they do!

Osteoporosis- This disease of weakened bones is usually found in women. Men too suffer from this disease that is hard to discover due to the lack of symptoms.
