Poor oral hygiene, gum or periodontal infections, dry mouth, smoking and tobacco use are some of the contributing factors for bad breath medically known as Halitosis. You can try following: 1.) Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, use tongue cleaner, change brush in 3 months. 2.) Use dental floss regularly. 3.) Keep the mouth moist. You can regularly drink water or keep non sugar edible items in mouth to keep the saliva flowing. 4.) Avoid smoking and tobacco. 5.) Use Listerine mouthwash twice daily. 6.) Avoid food causing bad smell.

Brush your teeth twice a day but do it gently as brushing too hard may wear off the top enamel layer of your teeth which in turn will make teeth sensitive and also will your teeth start looking yellowish.

Hi, you need to get a professional cleaning done. If that does not help then you may go for teeth whitening.

I feel strong pain in my gums while brushing my teeth. I'm using Oral-B toothpaste. Is it safe to use?

Dentist,

A tooth paste does not contribute to the pain in the tooth. You should meet a dentist soon and get to know the reason behind the pain. Hope this helps.

Stomach acids are necessary for the digestion of food. However, if too much acid develops in the stomach, it can cause acid reflux (heartburn) or a disease called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Obesity and other medical conditions can also lead to increased stomach acid. Management: - Avoid fried, fatty, spicy food, chocolates, tomatoes and citrus fruits. - Eat smaller, more frequent meals. - Give your digestive system an assist from gravity by not eating too close to bedtime. Wait at least 3 hours after eating before you lie down. - Lose excess weight. - Avoid alcohol and caffeinated beverages. - Stop smoking. Smoking interferes with digestion and can damage the lining of the esophagus. - Wear loose fitting clothes. Tight waistbands compress the internal organs and may block digestion. - Raise the head of your bed 4 or 5 inches higher than the foot. - Get enough sleep. Try sleeping on your left side. - Avoid stretching or bending after meals. - Chewing your food thoroughly makes it easier to swallow and digest, thus reducing or preventing symptoms of heartburn. - Drink plenty of water. Water has a neutral pH, which can help neutralize stomach acids and help your body absorb nutrients easily.

Hi Nirbhay.. if you are taking Gutkha.. or something similar... Then until you stop it... it is useless to take any medicine.. Eventhough you stop gutkha.. the treatment will take 4-6 months.. so it is better to start it with proper consultation... Or else you know the next stage of this...the photos are now very clear on the packages.
