bad breath can be due to deposit of plaque and calculus on teeth, dry mouth, throat infection, smoking, tabacco chewing, increased intake of caffeinated drinks or alcoholic beverages or aromatic foods. so go for scaling and polishing of teeth. use mouthwash twice daily after brushing. also clean your tongue. increase your water intake n take it at regular intervals. avoid caffeinated or alcoholic beverages.

Recurrent ulcers have only symptomatic treatment and they heal by themselves. Try mild intraoral steroidal ointments. It can give quick relief from ulcers. Take care.

I am feeling an irritation and mild pain under my teeth one of which is root canaled 6 years back.
The irritation and the mild pain which you are experiencing might be due to re infection in the root canaled tooth. The best way to rule out anything is to visit a dentist and get the X-ray done. If there is any reinfection present in the root canal tooth then we root canal can be done to save the truth and remove the infection and discomfort associated with it.

Dear Lybrate user, consult your dentist and get a professional cleaning/scaling done. Use a mouthwash for 15 days and make sure that you brush at night. Your dentist can thoroughly check your teeth if there is any decay or gum infection that is leading to the abnormal taste or bad breath.

Eating a piece of cheese after a meal helps in pulling away some of the plaque and leftover tiny food particles from meals. And since it contains calcium, it adds to the health of teeth and bones as well.

Taking a large no. Of medications often leads to a dry mouth. Increase your fluid intake or ask your dentist about an artifical saliva product or chew sugarless gum after a meal to keep your mouth moist.
