Good morning lybrate-user Thanks for the query As per your words it seems you are having a carious tooth and carries have involved the inner layer (Dentien) of your tooth that's why you feel senstivity. No it will not repair on it's own, you need to visit your Dentist where he will remove the carious tooth structure and restore your tooth with restorative material (Filling) Regards

Thanks for the query It's always Good to savre the tooth than get it extracted. Root canal treatment is the one the basic and routine treatment which helps in saving the tooth for longer or sometime for life. My advice is Better go for RCT and crown than extraction and now a days RCT is done with latest equipment such as endomotor ansd Apex locator which further aids in longevity of the tooth.

Soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices should be consumed in a limited quantity because they are acidic in nature. Acidic food or drinks often soften the tooth material which leads to the dissolution of minerals into the tooth enamel, resulting in cavities (holes).

Toothpicks can be an alternative to use for flossing if dental floss is not available. Remember not to be too harsh while using it.

Tongue cleaning is as important as brushing and flossing. Use of a proper tongue scraper every morning will remove tongue plaque and freshen your breath.

Think Health - Think Mouth!

While many people think this is something to do with medical practisners, but your dentist  also plays a large role in the health of your heart.Your dental health plays a very can significant roll in your overall health and, in serious cases, poor oral hygiene can even be life-threatening.

Very common finding between heart & oral health

Your heart and gum disease

Most people don’t connect gum disease with a risk to their heart, but the connection is there. Numerous scientific studies have demonstrated that individuals with higher levels of the bacteria associated with gum disease also have an increased risk of having a heart attack, as well as a stroke.

" think health, think mouth"

What you can do

First, you want to make sure you brush twice a day and floss once a day it helps in reducing the bacterial load in oral cavity.

The plaque and tartar leads to gum disease, or periodontitis. Gum disease leads to inflammation in the body, which can be harmful on its own, as well as damage to gum tissue, so taking the proper steps to care for your oral health is critical.

Also, make sure to visit your dentist at least once every six months for a regular checkup and cleaning.

The dentist  remove plaque and tartar, assess the health of your mouth, and recommend any additional treatments that may be necessary to keep you in optimal shape.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death among both men and women, so everyone should take an active role in the health of their heart, and that includes oral care.
