I am 29 yrs old having right leg knee muscle tear, hence I have taken medication doctor suggested mega bone, zinc and vitamin d3 tablets. I completed the course. But still i'm having the pain. Now slowly I got back pain also. Kindly help me.

Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this - 1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor (Neurologist) and to know exact pathology do MRI scan'2) Regarding prescription medication please discuss about (oxycodone-acetaminophen) and corticosteroids INJ 3) Do consult with physiotherapist for specific exercise plan Do follow lifestyle modification like this - 1) Do regular exercise. Strengthening the trunk muscles helps stabilize and support the spine. 2) Maintain good posture. Good posture reduces the pressure on your spine and disks. Keep your back straight and aligned, particularly when sitting for long periods. Lift heavy objects properly, making your legs not your back do most of the work. 3) Try to maintain a healthy weight. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Stop vodka & cigarette once for all. Have your chest pain investigated for heart problem. If it is o. K. Then I would like to examine & investigate you in detail. Any way you may try, rule out diabetes. Take: 1. Calpol 250mg od & sos. X5days. 2. Caldikind plus (mankind) 1 tab odx5 days. 3. Fomentation with warm water. 4. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. 5. Do back exercises.(take help of a physiotherapist). Kindly make sure that you are not allergic to any of these medicines.(contact your family doctor, if needed). For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital. Do not ignore, let it not become beginning of a major problem. Do ask for a detailed treatment plan. If no relief in 2-3 days

Approximately 2-4 times a month I experience a jerk in my lower back and the pain from it lasts in a day or two or sometimes in an hour. This can happen any time but usually happens when I play cricket. It pains a lot when I try to bend a little. Please suggest me something.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumbar support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same. Do share investigation reports if you have any.

This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR Chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. If you have back pain / leg pain while walking and standing first of all check your check your body weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. My suggestion would be to wear MCR Chappals which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the back. It looks like you are anaemia. If you feel that the legs are becoming numb then keep your legs warm which is important, probably you can wear MCR Chappals inside the house/ socks inside the house. Put a door mat whenever you sit so that you will feel comfortable. Also pour warm water in the legs while you take bath which would help you to get better circulation. And also keep a pillow under the knee while sleeping which will help you to get relieved from the pain and also will give relaxation. It is better to sleep on bed probably a thick mattress where there is less cushion and also see to that there is no folds or crease in the bed spread. It is not necessary that you have to lie on the floor, however you can lie on the floor just to relax after the hard day, but you are too young, and you can improve your diet with good Iron, vitamin and calcium and protein diet.

You father is probably suffering from knee arthritis. Treatment revolves mainly around physiotherapy, ice pack application and medications. Intrarticular injections offer great relief. Patient should avoid squatting and cross legged sitting..
