I am 25 years old girl and I want to know the procedure of hymenoplasty and how much time it takes to do operation and what are the works with I have to avoid after hymenoplasty and how can I take care of myself after procedure.

MCh - Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Bangalore
Hello. The procedure is done in a simple day care set up, i.e. Hardly 45 min for the procedure, after which you can go to your work. There are few things to be avoided in the initial 3-4 weeks following the surgery, while you can do your regular activities immediately after the procedure. Kindly consult me for any more queries.

Ms. lybrate-user, I consider 1.77*1.75 in cms Till now your follicular growth n Endometrial thickness is good. For ovulation your gynaecologist would give you an injection for rupture. Then you can try for pregnancy. Best Wishes.

Hi doctor, I am 28 years old. Actually mai 9 weeks pregnant hu. Maine ultra sound krwaya bt doctor ne btaya ki baby m koi cardiac activity nahi hai. Unhone mujhe abortion k liye kaha h or Mera pehle b abortion hua h so please tell me kya mujhe Kya krna chahiye.

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Fetal cardiac activity is visible on ultrasound by 6-7 weeks of pregnancy, if till 9 weeks it's better to go for abortion .if you want to wait repeat usg after 7 days ,if still heart beat not visible then definitely go for abortion.

Possible disadvantages of consumption of semen Semen can contain several viruses that may be transmitted via bodily fluids from an infected man. Some common examples of such sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), Hepatitis B and C, herpes, and Chlamydia. The risk of transmitting an STI through oral sex is higher if there is an open sore in the mouth or if a person has gingivitis and bleeding gums. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, hepatitis B can also be transmitted through contact with infected semen if an open sore is present in the mouth. Human papilloma virus Human papilloma virus has emerged as a serious concern in relation to oral sex. This virus can cause cervical cancer, anal cancer and the development of other growths such as genital warts. In 2013, some research suggested the virus can cause lung cancer. In 2010, a multinational review published in the British Medical Journal demonstrated that the incidence of oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma is on the rise in Western countries and that this increase seems to be linked to HPV, particularly the HPV-16 strain. The article implied that HPV is spread through sex, but in particular, oral sex. Chlamydia and gonorrhea The transmission of Chlamydia and gonorrhoea through oral sex has also recently become a concern. In May 2011, a study of female commercial sex workers showed that one in 25 of the workers had Chlamydia in their throats. In addition, one in 50 of the sex workers had gonorrhoea in their throats.

There is no chance of pregnancy if she has taken unwanted 72. Delayed period could be due to after effect of the pill. Consult doctor for further advice
