I am 27 yrs. Old I got married 6 months back. I got regular periods but this month it was late by 4 days and stays only for 2 days and very less flow. Now I am feeling heaviness, pressure and little pain in lower abdomen. Plzz. Help me out why this happens.

Hello- uterus is one organ that differentiate females from males. Other then the pregnancy the uterus has a function to purify the toxin of the body by flushing out through the blood every month. Due to improper diet or schedule prior to menses has obstructed your menstrual blood flow and hence you faced less bleed in this cycle. This obstructed stored blood (in uterus) is now causing heaviness and discomfort below the umblicus where uterus is situated. Try this ayurvedic treatment- a) dashmoolarishtha 2 tsp twice with water. B) gokshuradi guggulu 1 tab thrice. C) avipattikar churna 1/2 tsp twice before meals.

During winter we should eat food, which has high thermic effect as it boosts our metabolism and keeps us active and warm through out day. High protein food like poultry, fish, pork, ham etc and complex carbohydrates food like wholegrain products, green and colored vegetables etc have high thermic effect.
*eating a variety of food in sensible proportions in winter should include:
6 daily servings of complex carbohydrates,
5 servings of fruits or yoghurt
2 servings of protein,
15-25 gms of fats and oil
Many of things have beneficial implications especially during winters. For example:
Red wine: it keeps you warm, and the key are two antioxidants found in the skin of grapes - reveratrol and anthocyanins as they help to neutralize the free oxygen radical that damages the artery and has potent anti cancer effect.
Coffee: a hot cup of magic beans has caffeine, considered a major source of antioxidants that help lower the risk of diabetes, and has been linked to reduction in colon cancer for women, lower risk of gout in men.
Chocolate: dark chocolates are better because of high cocoa content which is packed with flavonoid they prevent heart disease and cancer.
Saffron: it improves digestion, stimulates circulation and reduces high blood pressure. Its also as anti depressant. It enhances the activity of mood boosting neuro- transmitters, dopamine and nonrepinephrine.

Best option is female sterilzation or family planning operation. Second best option is copper t which is most effective and no pills are needed. Next best option is oc pills like novelon or femilon to be taken from d2 for 21 days in a month.

Excercises help to have physical fitness and during second stage of normal delivery physical fitness helps. But nothing like particular excercises can bring about normal delivery.

Hello lybrate user, white vaginal discharge is absolutely normal for some days of a menstrual cycle. If it becomes very thick, smelly,itchy or profuse then it needs to b treated. Here r d tips to stay away from vaginal infections #Maintain personal hygiene #Avoid using very tight under garments #Avoid using soaps for cleaning,use specially made wash #Avoid sweets #Hydrate urself.
