Good evening doctors, Hope "ALL IS WELL" God is actually Healing Doctor whereas Doctor is considered as Healing God. Which paste & brush is best for Best Dental Care? How does flossing help Dental Care? Kindly list the vegetarian food items that help to have strong tooth and bones ?

BDS
Dentist, Sonipat
It is advisable that you should brush your teeth atleast twice a day with an ultrasoft toothbrush easily availabe in market(colgate slim soft, colgate senitive).Beside toothbrush,a proper coordinated tootbrushing technique is also required(placing tootbrush at 45degree and moving in circular motion) Flossing is also recommended to clean interdental areas.

Brush your teeth twice a day but do it gently as brushing too hard may wear off the top enamel layer of your teeth which in turn will make teeth sensitive and also will your teeth start looking yellowish.

Gum problem left untreated leads to periodontal infections ehich cause loosening of teeth so therefore consult a dentist as soon as possible.

I have general discomfort and pain while I open the jaw (left side). When my jaw is closed I feel a weird kind of dullness and heaviness on my left face (including my eyes). My temples almost always hurt on palpation (both). Even my eyebrows hurt when I press them. (Sharp pain). My jaw deviates a little sometimes when I open it, though at other times it is not noticeable. Also opening of the jaw isn' t as smooth as it used to be, I have make conscious effort to open the jaw and while I open it, it hurts. I have been suspecting TMJ disorder, but couldn' t make out if it is muscle related or bone related. Also, could it be TN? I am 24 year old male and have been suffering from it since last 6 months.

Dentist, Chennai
Without complete history and clinical examination it is very difficult to make a confirmatory diagnosis. Looks like tmj disorder it needs further evaluation. Muscle relaxants, hot water fermentation, physiotherapy, jaw exercise helps to certain extent but permanent solution will be using occlusal splints visit tmj specialist. If you have teeth clenching habit it should be corrected, if you are under stress destress yourself. Avoid chewing hard food.

Kindly get the required treatment done in both your teeth as suggested by your dentist. Most likely your dentist might have suggested root canal treatment for m2 and filling for m1. Till then you can take a pain killer like tab ketorol dt 2 tablets dissolved in water. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique.

bleeding gums are sign of infection due to deposit of plaque and calculus on teeth. get scaling and polishing done. use mouthwash twice daily after brushing. bad breath is the sign of dry mouth or infection in throat. increase your water intake. take water at regular intervals. avoid aromatic foods like onions and garlic at night. use mouthwash twice daily. reduce your intake of caffeinated drinks like tea or coffee.

I felt so much pain in my tooth since yesterday night, at morning I took medicine from a dentist but still it's pain continuously. & I can't eat food because of this.

MDS - Periodontics, BDS
Dentist, Chennai
Mostly continuous pain is due to cavities. You may need to go for rootcanal treatment or extraction of teeth.
