How Diet Affects Your Health?

Dermatologist, Noida

Yesterday the discussion was about what to eat, how diet affects health, how one should eat properly to look good and be healthy, etc.

Today we are going to know more about the importance of diet and what kind of diet you ought to follow and how to reduce your intake of food and how to crave less for it.

Just as discussed yesterday, avoid preserved food and add more fruits and vegetables in your diet.

Consume dairy products minimally and not in excess. Make sure that you eat less fat and carbohydrates and more of proteins, vitamins and minerals.

Make sure that you never skip out on your morning breakfast, as breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast gives you the energy to start the day.

Eat a good lunch and have a good tea but make sure that you have a light dinner and eat only half your stomach. If possible, eat only salad and soup for dinner.

It is always good to sleep light. I am sure you might have heard this quote “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper”. And let me tell you one thing, if you follow this quote then, half of your health problems will vanish.

Severe your self on a small plate because of the smaller the plate, the lesser you eat and the lesser you eat, the lesser the risk of developing diseases. Most of the disease and health problems arise from improper diet.

Eat your food on time and do not skip meals. Meal timings are important and make sure that you eat your food every day at the same time because your body will know and adjust accordingly and will ask for food when it is time and this will help to curb binging in between meals.

Whenever you feel hungry, pop some peanuts in your mouth or eat a fruit. This will help in reducing your hunger.

Avoid junk food and eating out. East or west, homemade food is the best. Eating home cooked food will make sure that you are healthy and it will also be soft on your pocket.

Hence, these are some of the diet tips you ought to follow to stay healthy.

Why To Watch What You Eat?

Dermatologist, Noida

Who in this world doesn’t want to look good and feel good?

Everyone wants to look their best and be healthy, no one likes to be sick and everyone loves to feel good and look beautiful and slim and trim.

The most important factor, which makes us look good and feel good, is food. We get energy from food, we look healthy when we eat good food, and we look good if we eat properly and proportionately.

Hence, food is the most important factor in our life and without it, we cannot survive. Diet is the most important part of our life; our diet is what we eat every day.

Let's discuss about the importance of proper diet and food and what to consume to stay fit and healthy.

  • Diet is very important if you want to reduce weight because weight loss is 80% diet and 20% sweat. Working out alone is not going to help you reduce your weight.
  • Also, let's not deny the fact that exercise helps to reduce weight, but diet plays a much more important role in weight loss.
  • If you want to be healthy then make sure that you eat a well-nourished and well-proportioned diet as too much of something is not good.
  • If you eat too much then you will become obese which will lead to all kinds of health problems like blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, arthritis, backache, etc.
  • “Eat your food like your medicines or else you will eat your medicines like food”.
  • The above quote is indeed true and gives a very good message, so watch what you eat.
  • Avoid processed and canned food, because they are filled with sugar and salt, which act as preservatives and are very bad for health.
  • The fresh packaged fruit juices, which we drink contains high amounts of sugar and the frozen food and other ketchup’s and sauces, which we consume, are filled with fat, MSG, sugar and salt, which are quite dangerous to our health.
  • Make sure that you include lots of fruits and vegetables in your diet and avoid oil as much as possible.
  • Fruits and vegetables help to detoxify your system and oil are necessary for our body to function but too much of oil is very bad.
  • Make sure that you fast at least once a month to give rest to your digestive system.

Hence, these are some of the tips, which you ought to follow to eat your way to a healthy life.

If You Look Good, People Treat You Better!

Dermatologist, Noida
If You Look Good, People Treat You Better!

Looks are very important as they cast the first impression of a person and of course, the first impression is the last impression.

When you meet someone, the person will first judge you by your looks. People will judge you by your character only after they come to know you.

Looks revel a lot about a person; you know what, sometimes some people’s character is radiated by their looks. Some people not only look innocent but they are also very innocent, the innocence radiates from their face.

While some people’s haughtiness can be detected by their looks.

People tend to judge others by looks and treat others accordingly. Hence, it is clear that you should make a fair attempt to look good as people judge you and treat you by looking at you.

To look good, you need to be healthy as looks and health go hand in hand. If you are healthy then you will automatically look good.

So in order to be healthy, you should have at least some control over your eating and you also should work out daily.

Health is related to food because we get energy from food but mind you, we get energy from ‘good food’ not form ‘junk food’.

Junk food cause health problems a lot of health problems, it makes you obese and looks fat.

Obesity is the major health problem as of today as obesity can cause aches and pains, diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure and what not, plus it makes you look fat and ugly.

Hence, to look good and be healthy you have to avoid unhealthy food, eat properly, eat moderately, and eat more fruits and vegetables.

Most of the people tend to forget one thing that we “eat to live” and not “live to eat”, and if you grasp this concept then you will automatically look, good and be healthy.

To look slim and trim, people work out for hours in the gym but they forget that diet plays a much more important role than exercise.

I am not saying that you shouldn’t work out, I am saying that workout but along with that watch your diet too.

Hence, a good diet and exercise are two things, which make you healthy, and if you are healthy then you will look beautiful.

How To Enhance Your Looks And Appearance?

How To Enhance Your Looks And Appearance?

‘First Impression is the Last impression’, haven’t we heard this line a lot many times in our lives.

To just live up to that line we all make so many efforts. We take care of our looks, of our figure, of our hair, of our clothes, of our communication skills, of our body language; in short, we work on our entire personality just to live up to this line.

You know why?

Because this line sometimes helps us or sometimes ruins us.

This line helps people judge us, helps people comment on us, helps people just praise or abuse our outer looks.

But is that it?

You should not let your outer looks define who you are and that does not mean you do not take care of yourself and start looking ugly, it just means you should look good but for your own good and for anyone else.

You don’t need to stress yourself to look good, try to flaunt your natural beauty, try and be who are, try and cherish what uniqueness you’re gifted with and not try to be like someone else, that’s because you’re original don’t label yourself.

Its fine if your hair is not straight and silky, after all, they are hair, not some straight line or a silky curtain, let them be how they are, don’t ruin them by ways of blowing, softening and straightening, because these are all temporary solutions, for something long lasting first you need to accept yourself the way you are and then comes everything else.

No matter what type of hair you have – straight, curly, wavy, soft, dry, tangled, etc, you need to take good care of it, you need to nourish them.

  • First of all, whenever you wash your hair, you should oil them a night before or two hours before shampooing.
  • Then don’t use conditioners very frequently, use it only once in three times of shampooing. Resort to natural conditioners like curd, also you can apply egg white, aloe Vera, and maybe some natural herbs.
  • Then you should comb your hair at least two times a day to avoid tangling and hair fall.

Then it’s okay to not look fair but be spotless, not to have soft skin but at least a healthy one, not to have a supermodel figure but at least be fit.

All these things add to your persona, take good care of them but not by ruining their uniqueness.

Your hair makes you beautiful, so you cannot leave any loopholes in its care. Therefore, the first thing that you ought to do to maintain your hair is to nourish it properly and that means you have to oil your hair regularly. A little oil is not going to damage your hair, so please even if you don’t like oiling your hair, oil it a little bit.

If you want your hair to be silky and smooth, apply egg to your hair and if you want your hair to be long and strong apply curd. Mix curd and egg together and apply it to your 30 minutes prior to washing it. Make sure that you apply this mixture at least once a week to have glossy and beautiful hair.

Vinegar and lemon juice are acidic in nature and they are effective in reducing dandruff, but too much acid can damage your hair, so apply it is small quantities. Add one cup of vinegar to 2 glasses of water and wash your hair with the solution. This will help to restore shine, control oil and get rid of dandruff.

Don’t wash your hair every day as it will rid your hair of its natural oils. Wash it twice or thrice a week, no more than that. Avoid using a hairdryer and let your hair dry naturally. A hair dryer makes your hair thin and it also results in hair fall. Don’t comb your hair while it is wet.

Your hair is delicate and so please avoid tying it tightly. Tying your hair is a strict no-no as it causes your hair fall and hair damage.

Use a good shampoo and a conditioner. Make sure that you conduct thorough market research before you choose the perfect shampoo for your hair. You can even ask a dermatologist to recommend a shampoo and a conditioner suitable for your hair.

Hence these are some of the tips, which you ought to follow to attain beautiful locks of hair.

Skin Brightening - How Is It Good For Your Skin?

Dermatologist, Noida
Skin Brightening - How Is It Good For Your Skin?

Skin Brightening products, also referred to as bleaching creams, whiteners, skin lighteners or for instance, fading creams, work by helping to reduce a pigment known as melanin that is present on the skin. Most people who make use of skin brighteners, do so in order to treat skin problems like freckles, spots due to aging, scars as a result of acne or skin getting discoloured that is mainly related to hormones.

This is an effective skin care regimen that has been particularly formulated to restore skin brightness as well as radiance due to the fact that it helps in reducing the appearance of dark spots and fine lines.

What Really Determines Colour of the Skin?

A person’s skin colour is mainly determined by the extent of melanin present in the skin. Melanin is a pigment that gets produced by some special cells known as melanocytes. People, who have dark skin, tend to contain more melanin.

Some of the factors that can affect production of melanin are:

  • Exposure to Sunlight
  • Hormones
  • Damage to skin
  • Role of Skin Brightening for Skins

Skin Brightening is also referred to as skin illuminating. This refers to an advanced skin care collection that seeks to address the different degrees of skin discoloration along with uneven texture and tone.

Skin Brightening assists in getting rid of the discoloration and dark patches on the skin in the following manner:

The primary role of a skin brightener is to maintain a bright as well as radiant complexion but not to whiten the skin up. It rather helps a woman to get their skin’s glow back.

As people tend to grow older, the skin turnover slows down as there is a decrease in the turnover of collagen. Hence, cells do not shed quickly enough and thus, create an extremely dull appearance along with the damage due to exposure to sunlight and stress. Skin Brightening is the ideal mode of treatment to brighten the skin up through exfoliation.

Brighteners Preferred by Dermatologists

Hydroquinone helps in fading out many spots when used on a consistent basis and also prevents the enzyme required for creating new spots. This along with a prescription retinoid, assists to lighten the patches within 4 to 6 weeks.

Azelaic Acid:

Dermatologists usually prescribe this for soothing out skins that are sensitive as well as rosacea-prone. Azelaic Acid targets only the excess amount of melanin that is present on the skin.

Researches carried out by scientists made them realize the fact that this helps to dissolve the melanin, which is present on the skin’s surface. Melanozyme works wonders within four weeks while most other brighteners take nearly two months.
