Hello sir mujhe last 7-8 days se left hand mai pain ho raha hai specially uper bale joint ke pass or thoda bahut left chest bechani se left chest mai mujhe kya karna chahiye.

Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello. Yesterday I met with an accident from my moped. I have some injuries on my knee and hand palm. Can you please suggest me antiseptic creams for it. And also I have pain in my left and arm too. I took two pain killer yesterday. One combiflam at morning and one flexon at night. Please suggest me a pain killer which I can take without any side effects.

You have to clean the wounds thoroughly with water. Apply betadine lotion or ointment over wounds. If wounds are deep, then dressing will be required. If wounds are superficial, keep them open. You will need to take tetanus injection. So visit a hospital and get injection. Apply ice daily 5 times 10 min every time over painful parts. Take simple analgesic only when you have pain.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. A lot of people today experience back pain and it is mostly the working professionals or students who complain about it. Most of us experience back pain due to incorrect posture or longer duration of sitting. Sometimes you may experience back pain because of exertion as you spend the entire day doing the same kind of job or maybe you bend in a wrong manner while picking up your child or some stuff.

Lower back pain is a very common condition that occurs anywhere on the back below the ribs and above the legs. The pain is very common and it is faced by most individuals at least once during their lifetime.

Try these home solutions for backache:

  1. Harness the power of Basil: Add 10 Basil leaves to a boiling cup of water and continue to boil it until it reduces to half. You can add a dash of salt to this and drink it through the day.
  2. Exercise: Not only should you stretch between long sitting hours, you should also get some back exercise suggested by a physical trainer with expertise in the field.Trigger your inner healing by releasing endorphins. Endorphins act as a pain blocking mechanism in the body and doing certain activities you like can help release them. From walking for 20 minutes to aerobics, to yoga to meditation to chiropractic care, you can try whatever makes you happy and calm to trigger your inner healing.
  3. Garlic: These tiny cloves are powerful healing agents and can cure a variety of body ailments, including blood pressure. Take a couple of garlic cloves early in the morning on empty stomach or a massage with garlic oil will help relieve back ache.
  4. Cut down on spices: We may think of it as unrelated, but low back pain is often accompanied by indigestion. Spinal cord nerves connect to back muscles and digestive organs. Hence, a small change in your diet can have a great impact on your health. Spicy food aggravates the digestive system and has a drying effect on the body. By cutting down on spices and oil, the digestive system can work better and there will be less stress on the nerves connecting the spinal cord and back muscles and thus result in lesser back aches. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.

Heat fermentation twice a day and do stretching exercise and tk sm preventions avoid toward bending. Avoid long standing, sitting, avoid continuous work. Avoid lifting heavyweight.

I underwent total knee replacement of right knee 4 months back but still has pain and life does not straighten up. I have discontinued physiotherapy thru hosp as lady physiotherapy workers (all of them claim ,they can be called as Doctors) only tell you to do ex yourself and only count 1,2 ,3. However, the leg needs massage and pressure by a strong person. Now somebody tells me for total knee replacement, I do not have to use hot pad (since metal inside) and massage not good for knee as it may displace the metal implant. I do lot of walking, but again ,they say this is no alternative to physiotherapy Your advice, Sir Surjit (66 years male) Delhi.

I am sure the pain must not be so severe enough as it was before the surgery. Now thats its been 4 months, its expected that you walk independently and carry all your day to day activities. Little bit of pain on and off can come and go. The main stay of treatment remains exercises. Please see I am saying exercises and not physiotherapy to emphasise on the fact that its you who have to do it as much as you can and do not depend on the physiotherapist. The knee extension (straightening) should be full. Bending will depend on your pre operation status. I do not think you should loose hope. Do as much as possible of quadriceps exercises and do not loose hope. Total knee repacement is one of the most successful and reproducible surgery after cataract and has got good results. Cheers.

I am suffering from spondylitis for the last 3 years. During this period on three occasions, I suffered giddiness and was not able to move from bed. I was treated with betavert 16. Now I am ok to some extend. My doctor advised me to have traction. Is it safe? any relationship between giddiness and spondylitis. Kindly help and advise.

Traction is absolutely safe. Its to maintain inter vertebral space to keep the nerves from undue pressure which is caused by reduction in spaces or development of osteophytes etc. Vessels are also compressed. Because of compression in vertebral column, the blood supply to brain is also lowered sometimes thereby causing giddiness. When you lie down blood supply to brain is restored. Similarly pressure on nerves makes life tough.

I am able to walk 10 minutes only. After that I get pain in my left knee. Waiting for two second I continue my walking. May i know the reason ?

You are probably having early arthritis of the knee. Use hot bag, pain relieving gels. Avoid activities like jumping or jogging. Glucosamine supplements help to keep you knee better. You can ask an orthopedic surgeon to prescribe it for you. Get the help of a good physiotherapist. You can send me a photo of your xray for review. A little care will help to keep your knees healthy for a long time.
