My cousin had a pain at heart his smoking for four years he was trying to stop but he can't is there any helpful tips.

Kindly get his ecg done to rule out ischaemia and revert. 1. Start your stop smoking plan with =s t a r t s- set a date for quitting smoking. Choose a date within next two weeks, so that you have enough time to prepare without losing your motivation to quit t- tell your family, friends and co-workers that you want to quit so that they can give support and encouragement a-anticipate and plan for the challenge you will face while quitting like crave for cigarettes and nicotine withdrawal symptoms r- remove cigarettes, lighter, ash tray, matches etc from home, car or work place t- talk to your doctor about getting help to quit and to deal with nicotine withdrawal symptoms 2. Distract yourself to keep your mind off smoking like concentrate on some work, watching tv, playing games, reading books/magazines, listen to music, cross word puzzle or playing online games etc 3. Remind yourself why you want to quit. Focus on your reasons for quitting like health benefits, improved appearance, financial effect and enhancement of self esteem 4. Get out of tempting situations like someone smoking close by 5. Reward yourself- reinforce your victories whenever you triumph over a craving. Give yourself a reward to keep yourself motivated 6. Find an oral substitute like mint, nicotine lozenges, nicotine patch, chewing gums etc 7. Keep your hands busy like squeezing balls, handling pencils, paper clips to satisfy the need for tactile stimulation 8. Brush your teeth-the just brushed clean feeling can motivate you to get rid of craving 9. Slowly drink a large cold glass of water to help the craving pass and keep you hydrated. It also minimizes the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal 10. Go for regular exercise, play some games 11. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control emotion and relive stress 12. Avoid stress, anxiety, depression, excess work load, severe physical and mental exertion.

I always try to get rid from my stress but seeing the ppl in difficulties directly influences myself to get attached to their helping concern. I am even trying to ignore but still my interior roars up and let's not take them as such. So how can I minimise my stress?

It's good to help others. However an inability to stop yourself from going over the shelf shows your inner compulsions to help people so as to minimise your stress and anxiety, rather than just helping people. Learn the" relaxation response" so as to deal with anxiety whenever you face it. Try some relaxation exercises like yoga, meditation or deep breathing exercises. Eat healthy and have a refreshing sleep daily. In case you still find difficult to deal with the stress consult a psychiatrist.

Hello 1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home). 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like egg, yogurt and lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week.

Go to bed at night at 10 pm daily for sleep. You can set alarm to wak up early in the morning. Avoid stress at night and in day. Do yoga -meditation in morning. Stamina on bed means sexual power or other. Pl. Tell me. You can take protein diets. And take ginseng for sexual stamina and physically stamina.

Apply ketoconazole lotion on your scalp once in a week. Apply bhringraj oil on your scalp then give hot water fomentation. 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Take pranacharya allergin capsule 1-1 twice a day. Take lots of proteins like soyabean. Egg white. Etc.avoid tea. Coffee.spicy food. Fermented food. Junk food. Apply only ayurvedic shampoo on your scalp. Do pranayama early morning.

What are Hemorrhoids ?

Hemorrhoids (piles) are natural cushions of tissue and B.V. located at the junction of rectum and anus. Along with sphincter, this normal tissue is responsible for complete closure of anus and prevents any leakage. During a bowel movement these cushions become smaller to allow stool to pass throw. Every one has them, and problems only arise when they become larger then they should.

These anal cushions are normally fastened in the sphincter region by muscle and tissue. If too much pressure is exerted on them, the system of securing them may be damaged and cushions will swell and by  friction they bleed or by force may protrude outside the anus.

How can we Diagnose : We can diagnose the Piles by asking the Clinical History and by doing per rectal examination . Depending upon symptoms Piles are of four Grade:

1. Grade I : Patient will complain Painless Bright Red colored Bleeding during or after passing stool.

2. Grade II : Patient will complain , something is coming out during passing stool.

3. Grade III : Patient will complain , something is coming out during passing stool and manual reposition is required to put it inside. It may be associated along with bleeding during passing stool.

For increasing weight ...First we have to work on ur digestive system..It will do Aam pachan and will increase ur digestive power and appetite.... Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.. Drink plenty of fluids.. Avoid constipation... Follow up after 1week we will start medicines and ur diet chart.

Yes. Definitely possible. Swimming, basketball, badminton, skipping - try any of these. You have three more years to grow. So make the most out of it. Also have a protein calcium rich diet - milk, eggs, cheese, yoghurt, sprouts, pulses, soya, millet and fresh fruits and vegetables are recommended. Almonds, dates are very useful too. Have about 4 each daily. Sleep - this is another important criteria for eight improvement. Ensure that you sleep at approximately the same time daily and that you get about 8 hours of good sleep everyday. Avoid sleeping during the day.

I am 63 years old I have thyroid since 25 years I am at present taking thyronorm 75 mgI did my tsh 2 days back. It is 3.31 Should I continue with the same dose or change.

Your tsh value of 3.31 milli units/ml is really the ideal level when on treatment. It means the dose (75 mcg/day) is correct, there is no need to change it. Continue the same. But do check of tsh once in 6 months to see if level is ok.

I have pimples on my face after every 2 months on the same place. Very painful pimples. I applied many ointments on them but all goes in vain.

Congratulations for having quit but now you are folli9ng around an addictive habit which is sometimes considered worse than cocaine addiction. Your success will be compromised by having a regular consumption, even if it is spread far and wide. In time, you will revert back to more smoking and become a full-fledged smoker one fine day. When quitting, you must take one day at a time; though you must give up all smoking at once, and promptly. If you look too far ahead you will get discouraged and will give up. If you sit and count the number of days you have given up, that will also focus too much on achievement. You must focus on the here and now, on that day to be precise. After all quitting is not that easy due to many factors. So even if you fail one day, you must try and try again. Very few people succeed in their first attempt. Your persistence will eventually pay off. The urge to discontinue is hampered by many factors but the worst of them is the conditioning. In fact, these conditions can exist all through the day, unlike other addictions. But your desire to want to stop is the most important factor. It is important to find out about the ill-effects of smoking to have a reason that alarms you about continuing the habit. The information is really scary but true and you must remind yourself about this every day. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heartbeat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. So you must avoid it like the plague: it is just very bad medicine for you. In fact, it is highly toxic too. You will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. You should start vigorous exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time you feel like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. You may also take hard candy or chew gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine gums and nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces, substantially. You may also join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i.e. at least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit smoking. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if you accidentally/willfully take a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – you can start the cessation all over again. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest. You could also join twitter2quit program and enjoy its success to give up smoking.
