I have hearing problem for the last few years. I hear at 50 to 60 dbs. I try to use hearing aids, but it helps just 20 or 30 %. Is there any permanent solution to cure this problem?
Hello Mr. Lybrate-user, I would suggest you to try out some good high end hearing aids which could really meet your expectations. You need to get done a proper audiometry test with speech discrimination scores, that would really help you in selecting and fitting a hearing aid.

Dear Sir I am 50 yrs old and my children have complain that I am having hearing problem that I don't listen to the door bell nor the ring of the phone. It happen very often but only when I watch television or listening to music and sometime during reading. Please let me know if there is anything serious.
Hello Mr. Lybrate-user, as per your queries, it seems you should get a hearing check up done. As per your childeren, they are quiet right on their point as, it seems you hv got a high frequencies hearing loss, where you can miss sounds like bell, door bell, telephone ring etc. It is purely due to ageing or could be due to some associate problem like high b. P, increased blood sugar or could be due to thyroid also. It is necessary to done a hearing test very soon. After that further step can be taken.
Sir ; good morning here I want to ask a question that my daughter is 98% deaf and dum so I want to know whether we have. Treatment for that so that she can hear and talk.
Hello Mr. Lybrate-user, first of all I would like to know the age of your daughter. If she is below 1-2 years old, then definitely she can listen and speak. You need to go for a complete battery of audiological test and after that a cochlear implant can be done. After the implant a auditory verbal therapy is required, and your daughter can start listening sounds n ultimately start speaking also.
