Bleeding is the indication of gum disease known as gingivitis with plaque deposition. Get scaling done. Rinse your mouth with chlorhexidine mouthwash. Brush regularly two times daily.

I am a 46 years old - back pain middle of back side at the time of sleeping after movement in morning its ok whats reason please clarify ?

Backache is the commonest ailment. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan. Don? t ignore.

The type of treatment you have for toothache will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed. •Medications for toothache: Advise C. Amox 500mg 1-1-1, thrice, T. Metrogyl 400mg 1-1-1, thrice, T. Imol 1-1-1, thrice (contraindicated in conditions with gastric ulcer, asthma, wheezing, and allergy), and C. Becosules 1-0-0 once, all for 3 days only.

Hello, Gradual weight gain is always advisable and an increase in 500 kcal per day can result in a 0.5 kg per week increase in one’s body weight. For healthy weight gain, you need to add more muscle rather than fat to your frame and that can only come from wholesome foods. Keep the following basic principles in mind if you wish to gain weight in a healthy way: • Increase your appetite by eating more to gain weight. But do it step-by-step and not by stuffing yourself too much at one go. Add one extra chapatti or more rice than you normally consume, or you even start with fruits by eating an extra one every day. • Carbs are needed to gain weight but include healthier options like banana, potato, mango, whole grains, rice, etc. instead of sugar-rich foods, chocolates, and other junk foods. • In order to increase your muscle mass, it is essential to do weight training 4-5 times a week for an hour. Dear sir, it's not necessary that you will have symptoms if your bp is high. High bp can be completely asymptomatic. Coming to your case you should consider lifestyle measures like exercise, dietary salt restriction, stress management, smoking cessation if you do etc apart from medicines.

Hair loss and dandruff can be controlled by - 1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home) 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like egg, yougurt and lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 6. You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 7. You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain ph balance of your hair. 8. Hair health depends on the amount of protein in your diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, dry fruits gives you the required nutrients to keep your skin and hair healthy. So consume plenty of them. Eat things rich in vitamin c like amla and oranges. 9. Drink lots of water to flush out toxins from the body.

I had dandruff problem which is almost over using cipla dandruff shampoo. Hi apply ketoconazole lotion on your scalp...Apply maha bhringraj oil on your scalp and massage then give hot water fomentation..1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep....take pranacharya allergin capsule 1-1 twice a day...take lots of proteins like soyabean...egg white.....etc...avoid tea...coffee...spicy food...fermented food...junk food....apply only ayurvedic shampoo on your scalp....do pranayama early morning...

You have to follow some basic things so that you get better results in a short period of time. …. 1) take solid diet two times in a day and liquid diet two times in a day …2) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals …. 3) don’t drink water before meal for one hour and one hour after meal…4) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods…. 5) avoid late night sleeping habits …A) take 30ml of triphala juice and 10 ml of honey early in the morning on empty stomach and at night before sleep. B) take 10 gm of HARIDRA KHANDA after meals. C) take 2-2 tablets of arogyavardhini vati and chandraprabha vati after meals, D) take 30 ml of aloevera juice along with 30ml of lukewarm water. Drink fruit juices in morning (if possible have fresh fruit juices). Do not remain hungry at all. Keep eating at least 2 biscuits at 2 hours of intervals. Drink more and more water. Hello, Get sufficient calories. Consume plenty of fruits and vegetables. Have chickpeas and legumes. You can also have soy protein powders. Avoid processed foods, maida, junk food, colas, Have plenty of milk, cheese, yogurt.Nuts provide a healthy source of fat and will provide a long-lasting form of energy as well. One handful will significantly boost your calorie intake and help make muscle gain that much easier. Have peanut butter, flaxseeds, walnuts, broccoli, spinach. Have an iron supplement also. Hi. Dark circles can be temporary (means happens after any recent or chronic diseases or underlying medical condition, insufficient sleep, nutritional deificiency, working long hrs. on computer, lack of rest, stress/ tension, etc.) which can be improved by fixing the underlying cause or the problem or can be inherited from your parent's genes which can't be treated or cured! Management: Eat healthy and on time. Avoid junk. Drink plenty of water (as dehydration can cause dull or patchy skin). Sleep well. Wear anti-glare spectacles while working on computer. According to Ayurveda, improper diet and lifestyle leads to aggravation of all three doshas (Ayurvedic humors) and impairment of the digestive fire, causing formation of toxins (ama) in the body. These toxins travel down the channels carrying urine, where aggravated doshas combine with it, causing its crystallization and leading to the formation of kidney stones. Tips for removing kidney stones:: 1. Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, cold drinks, pickles, fish, poultry, meat, spinach, and chocolate. 2. Avoid sour, heavy, and dry food. 3. Increase intake of liquids like water, juice, soup, lime water lemon soda etc. 4. Be sure to drink enough water each day. Usually 1 to 2 liters of water per day is adequate. 5. Drink more if you are perspiring heavily, working outdoors, the weather is hot, etc. 6. Increase the use of barley, horse gram (a type of bean), ginger, and brown rice or parboiled rice. 7. Avoid suppressing urges to urinate and defecate. 9. Boil 10-12 basil leaves in 1 cup of water for 15 minutes. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey in it and take twice a day. Pls send ur USG report coz herbal medicines for removing stones can be given according to size and number and location of stones.

Mr. Lybrate-user, your blood sugar values particularly the fasting is much high. Pp value is not that bad, but better to be closer to 150 to 160 mg. Most importantly hba1c% should be <7. Achieving these values is possible by following things: appropriate drugs and dosage adjustment, dietary restriction and regular exercise so as to maintain near normal weight. (ideal body weight = height in cms- 100 x 0.9 = kgs). Plus avoiding sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, sweetened aerated drinks, high fat milk products and fructose corn syrup containing products as well as highly processed products. Also refrain from alcohol and smoking. Consume more of green leafy vegetables and salads and permitted fruits about 100 g a day. Daily exercise of at least 1 hour is a must.

Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that’s found in all cells of the body. The term cholesterol is often directly related to a heart condition. But the truth is that not all types of cholesterols are harmful for your body. It is important that one knows about the different types of cholesterol, having healthy levels of both types of lipoproteins is important, deal with them appropriately and lower the chances of having a stroke or getting a heart disease. Bad cholesterol levels can be high in people irrespective of them being thin, if it is genetic or if they are smokers.

Types of Cholesterol.

The Bad One:

LDL cholesterol sometimes is called “bad” cholesterol. A high LDL level leads to a buildup of cholesterol in your arteries. Lowering your cholesterol may slow down, reduce, or even stop the buildup of plaque in your arteries. It also may reduce the risk of plaque rupturing and causing dangerous blood clots.

The Good One:

HDL cholesterol sometimes is called “good” cholesterol. This is because it carries cholesterol from other parts of your body back to your liver. Your liver removes the cholesterol from your body and is important for the body as it reduces the risk of heart attack, disease and strokes.

Cholesterol count of the body is counted by adding the two types of cholesterols (LDL and HDL) along with body's triglyceride level. Triglycerides are a type of fat found in your blood. Too much of this type of fat may raise the risk of coronary artery disease.

The level of your cholesterol shows the level of risk your body is in, to have a stroke or a heart condition. Other factors which determine the risk are whether the person is a smoker, diabetic, has high blood pressure along with their age, sex and race.

Cholesterol levels are affected by:

1. Genetics: Genetics have a direct effect on your cholesterol level. If the levels have been high in the previous generations, you are automatically at higher risk of this condition.An inherited condition called familial hypercholesterolemia causes very high LDL cholesterol.

2. Age and Weight: Once we cross the age of 20, our cholesterol level starts to rise. Being overweight however is also a high risk factor of increased levels of bad cholesterol in the body as well as developing heart disease.

3. Lifestyle: Less or no exercise is another reason which reduces the good cholesterol in the body, as does being overweight. Regular exercise however reduces LDL and increases HDL in the body. Also a diet rich in saturated fats makes your LDL levels shoot up and puts you to higher risk.

Dear lybrate user...Anxiety with a feeling of being on the edge almost throughout the day causing significant functional impairment is suggestive of you having Anxiety Disorder. In your case not taking medications for anxiety disorder and just treating your insomnia will be a wrong management plan, as with anxiety a person will have difficulty falling asleep. Thus I would suggest to target and treat your anxiety and sleep problems simultaneously for a much better result. In case of your anxiety regarding sleep, I would suggest not to sleep during day at all, not to go to bed and force yourself to sleep during night time. Just wait and do some un-interesting work say reading some serious novel in a dim light away from your bed. Once you start feeling sleepy, get back to bed and sleep. Its a vicious cycle of not having sleep a night and you trying hard to sleep the next night thinking that sleep may not come. This forcing yourself to sleep is itself anxiety provoking and thus try not to go to bed until you feel sleepy. And yes if this is not sufficient than you may need the help of medications. Take care

Please follow simple tips: go to bed early 10-11/ wake up early 6-7 morning walk/ jogging/ gym and yoga healthy and heavy non-oily/ less or no spicy breakfast include milk/curd/ egg etc. Take a nutritious diet with more protein items in homemade food like soya, sprouts, dals, paneer, milk, seasonal fruits. Light dinner avoid tea/ coffee keep yourself away from electronic gazettes i. E. Phone/ whatsapp/ lappy/ tv etc.
