Dear may be you have pulled your back muscle or have a slipped disc. Please apply ice for 20 minutes every hour when awake and if you are not relieved pl see an orthopedic surgeon.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

if you had not move that knee then suddenly muscle get break and internal injury is there so it can cure just take following remedies 1.ashwagandha 1/2 tsp+ lodhra powder 1/2 tsp with milk empty stomach in the morning 2.sinhanad guggul 1 tab before lunch and dinner for one month then give me follow up

My Dad has been suffering for arthritis for past 10 years. He has followed many medicines, but there is no cure yet. The key pain areas are knee, and finger joints. Even walking for half a kilometre or writing for 10-15 minutes is difficult for him. Please suggest!

As far as it appears and the medicine he is taking it seems he is suffering form RA. Let me tell you Alopathy has no know cure for RA. Yes it can be controlled on drugs and there can be periods of remission in between, Doctors in Ayurveda and Naturopathy claim to cure it, as far as alopathy treatment goes he need to continue taking this medicine, with timely consultation with his physician.

How to solve back pain problem? Before some days I have to face this problem. My age is 32.
Try few things for temporary relief of your back pain: -avoid activities that require bending forward at the waist or stooping. -try to avoid lifting objects if at all possible. -sit as little as possible, and only for short periods of time (10 to 15 minutes). -sit with a back support (such as a rolled-up towel) at the curve of your back. -keep your hips and knees at a right angle. (use a foot rest or stool if necessary.) your legs should not be crossed and your feet should be flat on the floor. -Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. “Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful -Strengthen your core. Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. -Apply heating pads to comfort tender trunks. Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Please get help from a physiotherapist for further assessment and management of your back pain.

Knee advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

I got a fracture in my right hand. My humerus bone was broken while arm wrestling in the gym. I got a operation and they fixed it. They insert a plate inside my hand to fix my bone. My hand was broken in last may but I have still pain in my hand. I can' t do any work. If I try to do push ups it start paining. Please help me out.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Gout is an autoimmune disorder which occurs because there a derangement in purine metabolism. This leads to increased uric acid level in blood. Further uric acid crystals get deposited around the smaller joints and there is an acute inflammation when there is an acute exacerbation. Treatment in acute attack is NSAIDs which control pain and inflammation and give relief from pain. Later drugs that excrete uric acid and reduce blood levels are used. Plus there has to be restriction on purine containing foods intake. I have no idea if the medicine which you are taking has any benefit at all. Thanks.

Mr. Lybrate-user, it is necessary to do muscle stretching before & after every sport to prevent injuries as well as to avoid delayed onset muscle soreness leading to muscle tightness & pain. If the pain is only from the muscles, then apply moist heat pack for less than five minutes followed by gentle low back & upper back stretches.
