lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is essential to maintain TSH in the following manner during pregnancy: 1st Trimester: 0.1 to 2.5 mU/L, 2nd Trimester: 0.2 to 3.0 mU/L & 3rd Trimester: 0.3 to 3.0 mU/L. From this info it is clear that your TSH level is higher than recommended. Therefore, you may have take necessary steps to control it. Thanks.

I am under weight what should I do to increase my weight? Checked it yesterday I weigh 51.2 kg and i'm 28 years old. ...
Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight. If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

I have diagnosed with charcot foot. What precautions and medication to be followed.

BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Anantapur
Immobilization. Because the foot and ankle are so fragile during the early stage of Charcot, they must be protected so the weakened bones can repair themselves. Complete nonweightbearing is necessary to keep the foot from further collapsing. The patient will not be able to walk on the affected foot until the surgeon determines it is safe to do so. During this period, the patient may be fitted with a cast, removable boot or brace and may be required to use crutches or a wheelchair. It may take the bones several months to heal, although it can take considerably longer in some patients. Custom shoes and bracing. Shoes with special inserts may be needed after the bones have healed to enable the patient to return to daily activities—as well as help prevent recurrence of Charcot foot, development of ulcers and possibly amputation. In cases with significant deformity, bracing is also required. Activity modification. A modification in activity level may be needed to avoid repetitive trauma to both feet. A patient with Charcot in one foot is more likely to develop it in the other foot, so measures must be taken to protect both feet.

Hello, No drinking of warm water is not harmful for heart, kidney and lungs. According to your height and age your body weight should under 70 kg. You should take about 6% water of your body weight. As much as possible you should take drinkable warm water alongwith 5/6 Fresh one seeded garlic root which will increase your metabolic rate and reduce the body weight. This will help you to prevent the possibilities of future heart ProblemAlso don't take any Junk food, Clod water, fatty oil. If you follow this, I am sure that you will call me after two months if there has no any medical problem. If you have any medical problem then You should go through proper Characterized Homeopathic case recording for your individualized treatment else your problem will persist.

Mr. S lybrate-user, TSH 6.52 mU/L, is high, falls in the category of sub-clinical hypothyroidism. Usually no treatment is advocated. However, if there are any troublesome symptoms are present and T4 level is lower, then treatment is advised. Consequences of high TSH or hypothyroidism are: weight gain, slow heart, intolerance to cold, muscle and joint pains, anxiety, depression, tiredness, early fatigue, lack of energy, dry skin, dry hair and hair fall etc. If hypothyroidism develops, then hormonal supplement is the only treatment. Plus avoiding soy beans & soy containing products is important. Some other foods and vegetables may have to be avoided like cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, mustard, peanuts and coffee. Also avoid using maida and foods made from it. Thanks.

Chest pain irregular heartbeat and Anxiety trouble sleeping fear in public place.

Chest pain irregular heartbeat and Anxiety trouble sleeping fear in public place.
Dear Lybrate user You seem to be an introvert and social anxiety. Anxiety may disturb your sleep and also cause physical stuff like you have mentioned chest pain and irregular heartbeats. Anxiety has become very common these days. Monitor your negative thoughts that you have which make you anxious and challange those thoughts. Like your fear in public places challenge this thing amd think what is fearful in this? Many people are easily living in society with no fear at all. If you are very much conscious about yourself then stop getting carried away for the same. Try to think rationally about things which make you anxious. Remember being an introvert is not bad and introverts have the strengths as well. Identify your strengths and work on them feel proud that you have them. Many people do not have it. Have a good and timely sleep. Feed your body with good nutritious food and that too on time. Do meditation or yoga or a brisk walk in the morning. Spend time with people you love people with whom you are happy amd comfortable. Make goals in your life if you have not already. Goals regarding health finance relationships etc. And work hard to achieve them. Following your goals is a pleasant and satisfactory feeling. You can also take Mind Training from us and that too online by staying at your home only just like many other people. Contact me for more information regarding this. Good luck. Take care.
