Hello, To increase your appetite you should take small & frequent meal. Take small quantity of food/ food items either you are hungry or not. It will increase your appetite slowly. To gain weight you must consume simple foods, which has enormous amount of calories & protein. Consuming lot of calories doesn’t mean that you have to over eat or over stuff yourself. You must always choose healthy sources of calorie dense foods. Eat foods with high amount of calories than your required metabolism. Never skip your meals and make sure you are including all varieties of foods like fruits, vegetables, cereals and foods with high protein in your diet. Dairy products like milk, yoghurt and cheese are rich in protein and calcium. If you are non-vegetarian then include Egg & meat Egg is a protein rich food with high amount of calories. Nuts are the most nutritious and protein rich food. Fruits are the best sources of carbohydrates, healthy sugars, vitamins and minerals.

Hello, Low calorie diets are usually given for a day or two incase if weight loss plateau occurs. You haven't mentioned your weight loss requirement. You need to ensure even on low calorie diet you need to monitor and get monitored under a guidance of qualified nutrition expert,as following them is easy but maintaining and gradually coming back to normal diet is an experienced professionals job. Remember if such diet followed, even a slight negligence would leave you with relapse of the entire weight which you might manage to lose.

Hello firstly is he on medications? in diabetes because of increased sugar in urine more water is lost. This causes dryness in mouth and extra thirst. Only treatment is taking proper drugs and controlling sugar levels. If you inform the fasting and after food levels I can advise.

Hi this is Shaavez Khan. And I wanted to ask you something related to my brother farooq. He is suffering from Mania. Gets quickly angry and starts shouting on everyone. He often gets depressed and he has an assumption that nobody loves him and cares for him. And gets furious. Dear lybrate user, since you have never consulted a doctor about your brother's emotional state, it would be better not to label his condition as" mania" it is advisable to let the counsellor/psychologist, assess him for his anger and state of depression. It appears to me that he feels that he is not valued at home. Probably he is not feeling loved by his family. There could be many reasons for this. It would be important to know, how your parents/grandparents react when they are angry. He has probably learnt to express his anger aggressively from the elders. When he is angry and starts shouting, how the rest of the family memebers react, also matters. If the family, surrenders to his demands when he shouts, then he will keep repeating this behaviour. The family members need to be assertive and need not satisfy all his demands just because he shouts. Try to talk to him about his feelings and help him to express his expectations from the family. Also talk to him about his own responsibilities. Appreciate his achievements, genuinely. Express your love and concern for him, verbally. Then you will see him cooling down. Ask him what actions of others will make him feel, that they love him. Learn more about anger management and teach him those techniques.

You have to apply coconut oil when you go out in the skin and you get initially but with time new glowing skin will come . DO not wash the oil with soap

You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. to burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. as half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. A DIET CHART Timing Foods To Eat Calories Early Morning Lukewarm Water with Lemon 1 glass 0 Tea without Sugar + 2 Biscuits 90 Breakfast 2 Rotis + 1/2 cup Paneer Curry 330 OR Brown Bread Upma 1 plate + Milk 1 cup 300 Mid-Morning 1 Banana/1/2 cup Melon/20 Grapes 50 Lunch Brown Rice 1 cup (195 gm) + Mixed Vegetables 1/2 cup + Salad 1 bowl + Raita 1 small bowl 345 Evening Butter Milk 1 cup 35 Dinner 2 Rotis + Vegetable Soup 1 bowl + Salad 1 bowl 370 Total 1220/1190 Cal

As I understand your problem is common with many people when they sit for prolonged periods in wrong postures and develop pain in lower back or neck. You are advised to stretch your legs while sitting for longer periods, excercise your body mucles by getting up in between and walk few stpes and again come to work. Place your table contents like computers etc. (if you use) at proper angles so that you do not get more curbed forward. Avoid pain relieving drugs and resort to proper back exercises / walking and massage of body parts. If you don't get relief it will be better to get your vitamin d from exposing yourself to sun and good diet containing vitamin d and calcium. Extension excercises of back muscles will also help.

Practice deep breathing. Belly breathing, also called diaphragmatic breathing or abdominal breathing, is the process of breathing deeply so that your body receives a full supply of oxygen. While shallow breathing can cause shortness of breath and anxiety, deep breathing slows the heart rate and stabilizes blood pressure. It's a great technique to use when you want to decompress and lower your stress level take a slow, deep breath in through your nose. Let the air completely fill your lungs. Resist the urge to exhale quickly before you've fully inhaled. It definitely takes some practice, since most of us are in the habit of taking quick, shallow breaths instead of long, deep ones. Focus on breathing in as much as you can through your nose, which has tiny hairs that filter out dust and toxins so they can't reach your lungs. As we go about our days, we often breathe in a quick, shallow way without being conscious we are doing so. Daily stresses distract us from being aware or mindful of the way we are breathing. Deep breathing will help you be more mindful of your body. Feel the air enter your lungs and fill them up. When you're concentrating on taking a deep breath, your worries are pushed aside for the time being. Let your stomach expand. As you draw in a deep breath, let your stomach expand by an inch or two. The air should travel all the way to your diaphragm, causing your belly to round out as it fills. If you watch a baby sleep, you see that babies belly-breathe naturally. Their stomachs, not their chests, rise and fall with each breath. As adults, we get conditioned to take shallow breaths instead of belly breaths. When we hold in our emotions, we tend to suck in our stomachs, tensing up rather than relaxing when we breathe. When you learn how to breathe properly, this tension goes away. Lay down, stand, or sit upright as you breathe. It's more difficult to draw in a full breath if you're in a slouched position. Place one hand on your belly, and the other on your chest, as you inhale. You can tell you're breathing deeply and properly if the hand on your belly rises out further than the one on your chest as you inhale. Exhale fully. Let out your breath slowly through your nose. As you breath out, pull in your belly toward your spine. Exhale all of the breath in your lungs. After you exhale, take in another deep breath through your nose and continue breathing deeply. Try to exhale for twice as long as you inhale, and fully expel the air try breathing deeply five times in a row. Inhaling and exhaling counts as 1 time. This immediately calms you down by slowing your heart rate and blood pressure, as well as distracting your mind from stressful thoughts. Get in a comfortable position and practice deep breathing correctly 5 times in a row. Remember that your stomach should expand an inch or so from your body, further than your chest expands. Once you get the hang of deep breathing, try doing it 10 or 20 times in a row. Notice how your body begins to feel as you flood it with oxygen.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Usually heart beat below 60 is seen in trained professional athletes - it can be normal for you if you do not have any symptoms like lightheadedness, fatigue or tiredness doing normal activities, blackout, fainting - to rule out any problem it is advisable to do an ECG & consult a physician.

I do not know actually what is happening to me from the last 2 days. My neck feels little heavy and while sleeping I have difficulty in breathing sometimes. I have to clear my throat evrrytime and then some amount of white cough comes out. My throat and tongue usually gets dry. I feel weak as like I am helpless. Nd have nausea when I see food.
