Dear lybrate-user, there are few herbal drugs which simultaneously lower down the blood glucose n pcos. So discontinuing metformin (if your blood glucose levels are raised) is not suggested. Without the consent of your endocrinologist. As far ayurveda's therapies are concerned. We can definitely help u. Pcod leads to abnormal weight gain and other hormonal imbalances which causes a toll on the body functions. Herbal remedies and treatment with panchkarma along with medication give signiciant results in pcod. Panchakarma procedures like - uttara basti and vaginal douches are quite helpful. This will greatly help. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. Please update with your valuable feedback after 15 days.

Your baby's movement would be restricted as the growth is more or less completed in the 9 th month. So it is normal and nothing to worry about.

Super Fact of the Day: 80% of your brain is water.
Contrary to popular belief, your brain isn’t the firm, gray mass that you imagine. Your brain tissue is a pink and jelly-like organ because of the blood and high water content of the tissue.

Hello lybrate-user causes for irregular periods stress stress, either emotional or physical, can delay your period. A new job, illness, depression, exam, fever, strenuous exercises or a weight gain or loss are some of the reasons that can increase your stress levels and affect your periods. Once you make some changes to alleviate your stress, you could become regular again. Improper eating habits improper eating can affect your hormones like estrogen and cause them to be very high (when you are overweight) or very low (in eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia). Improper production or levels of these hormones can interfere with your menstrual cycle and make them more sporadic and irregular. In this case, you may have delayed periods. Hormonal imbalance if you have hormonal imbalance which can affect your cycles. If you have recently stopped your birth control pill or are having thyroid trouble, you could have hormonal imbalance. Any problems with your hormone production centers like ovaries, adrenal or pituitary glands could also cause a delay in your period. Excessive exercise strenuous and over exercising can cause a dip in the total body fat, which can interfere with your hormonal levels, further affecting your periods. The body requires some amount of fat for ovulation and excessive exercises can hamper the equation drastically. However do not stop exercising completely, only do it moderately. Too much alcohol indulging in high amounts of alcohol can lead to increased estrogen and testosterone levels in the body, which plays havoc with the normal hormonal levels. Thyroid disorders thyroid disorders that lead to high or low hormonal production definitely can! you could either not ovulate at all or have a very weak ovulation cycle due to the disrupted levels of hormones, which can delay your periods or make them irregular. An infection bacterial infections, sexually transmitted diseases or pelvic inflammation can cause the uterus to become inflamed and result in bleeding. This could lead to a false alarm and make your body think that you are having your periods. However, if you notice pain, fever or vomiting along with bleeding, visit your doctor. Polycystic ovarian syndrome you may suffer from pcos or polycystic ovarian syndrome if your body produces excessive androgens or male hormones. Higher levels of androgens interfere with the normal function of the ovaries, leading to immature follicle formation. This does not allow you to ovulate normally and your cycles could be irregular or delayed. Try to rule out the above cause by primary health check up and investigations. Try to be in relaxed and positive attitude is very important. Rx m2 tone syrup 15 ml_0_15 ml dilution with equal amount warm water a/f aloes compound 2_0_2 a/f with warm water danwantara vati 2_0_2 with warm water b/f for 10 days.

I had sex for the first time 4 or 5 days back. And there's some white discharge coming all the time. It doesn't smell bad or something. No irritation. Just white discharge. What is it?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
If the discharge is causing itching or fowl smell then it is some kind of infection, which should be treated immediately. If there is no itching or fowl smell then it has to be physiological leukorrhoea, which occurs because of hormonal imbalance. If the discharge does not stop within few days then you can use clingen pessary which will relive vaginal infection if any.

Tips To Help You Become More Resilient!

Life is full of challenges. We all have our own ways of dealing with stress and strains of life. But, a strong sense of resilience can make you different from others. Winners don’t do different things, but they do it differently. That’s what you need to keep in mind. While there are hundreds of strategies to deal with stress, you need to learn the best ones to increase your sense of resilience. The more resilient you are, the better is your chance of succeeding in life. Your power of resilience is like an armour that will guard you in the battlefield of life.

Here’s all that you need to know about how to become more resilient. From personal tragedies to occupational hazards, you will be able to deal with everything under the sun by following the tips below:

1. Acceptance towards change: It is important for all of us to accept a simple fact that life is dynamic in nature. Nothing in our lives is permanent. Situations and events change in our lives, bringing occasional bliss or sorrows. Therefore, if you realize the fact that change is an indispensable part of life and be a little flexible, you will automatically become more resilient.

2. Be realistic: You must have a realistic outlook towards life. Don’t let your mind be preoccupied with fanciful ideas or build castles in the air. Realism and pragmatism are the fundamentals to a healthy living. If you have a pragmatic mind and understand the real problems in life, you will not lose hope too soon. Therefore, you will be more resilient than others as you have already prepared yourself for the worst things in life by understanding the reality.

3. Control your emotions: It has been often noticed that when scuba divers drown, they are still left with enough oxygen in their tanks. It is because they have pulled off their oxygen masks at the time of danger. Researchers believe that most of us, when in danger, lose our senses and start panicking. This worsens the situation and aggravates the problems in our lives, destroying harmony and peace. Therefore, a person with better sense of resilience has better control over his emotions as well. Don’t freak out or panic at the time of danger or get depressed over an issue for long. You must have a fighting attitude in life and be prepared to face the worst.

4. Be a good communicator: It is quite true that most of our problems can be sorted out by communication. If you maintain proper communication with people and yourself and keep all channels of communication open, you will have solutions to various problems in life. This boosts your confidence and sense of resilience.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

HI sanjeev. Both tubes blocked could be a problem. However it is tratable. There are 2 ways of treating it. Either you can try to inject medicines from the vagina towards the tubes. Other is by laproscopy. Usually the second one is tried after the 1st one fails. The chances of success however depend where exactly are the tubes blocked. I hope you get well soon . All the best.

About Infertility. My wife is 34yrs. Our marriage is 10yrs old. We tried for IVF. Putting the embryo inside was unsuccessful. There was block in the tube. Is the block curable? Is there any medicines for that? Is there any other solution for infertility?

Block treatment is very difficult and carries risk like ectopic pregnancy. Ivf is much easier than this. In one cycle of ivf chance of success is 30-50%. So pls don't lose hope.
