It's good that you have controlled diabetes since 7 years But with information provided you have lost significant amount of weight I personally feel it's not due to diabetes it can be due to either poor nutrition or some chronic infectious disease Get your CBC ESR AND CHEST x ray done Till then just start taking D- protein two tea spoon in glass of milk after walking You can contact me once your reports comes.

Take high fiber low fat diet. Drink lot of water everyday. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals of 2-3 hrs. Avoid outside food completely. Avoid junk and fast food completely. Do regular exercise. Ask me privately for detailed diet plan.

Hi Doc My name is ronak. My age 20 and weight is 50 kg. I need more gain weight I am doing daily hard workout in gym. I take daily milk, butter, fruits, egg, vegetables and many more high protein foods and fully drink water. I take a 8 hour to sleep I am physically and mentally fit. No stress, no angry. I meet 3-4 doc and advise to gain weight. I am doing this at least 2 years But I can't get result. My weight is still on 50 I have no try to drugs, steroids and powder All peoples said it's bad for health. So can I take this? I never smoke and etc bad things Can I try beer and alcohol for more weight? Please Help me.

Alcohal and beer is not the solution to gain weight. You did not mentioned about your height. You may take Alfa Tonic thrice a day for one month. Add 40 gram butter with sugar( paste) in your meal daily. One glass daily banana shake in the morning for one month. Grapes juice you can take daily. Two figs soaked and black raisons soaked you may take. Consult privately for further course of action. You should do hard work in gym.

What Causes Prickly Heat Rash and How to Prevent It?

The small, red itchy spots that appear on your skin during the hot summer months or after contact with hot temperatures are known as prickly heat, and cover areas of your body such as the neck, back, face, thighs and chest.

So, what causes this form of skin rash?
Prickly heat typically occurs when you sweat excessively, such as usually in a hot and humid environment. The heavy sweating along with the bacteria present on the skin and the dead skin cells causes the blocking of sweat glands. This results in the buildup of sweat underneath your skin and the characteristic bumps that you see. When these bumps burst open to release the sweat that is buildup within, it causes a prickly sensation, giving it its name.
Certain factors can also increase your chances of contracting prickly heat like:

  • Being obese or overweight
  • Sitting too close to a fire or heater
  • Being dormant due to illness
  • Wearing too much clothing

How to prevent it?
Heat rashes usually clear up on its own if the affected spot is kept clean and dry. However there are certain things that you can do to prevent it and these are:
1. Staying away from excessive heat and humidity - Heat and humidity are the main causes of heat rash. They cause you to sweat more alongside a worsening of your rash. Sitting in a shade or keeping yourself hydrated is the best way to prevent prickly heat rash from occurring.

2. Selecting the right clothes - Wearing cotton clothing in hot temperatures is one of the best ways to keep heat rash at bay.  Cotton being a natural fiber doesn't trap the heat, compared to nylon and polyester fabrics.

3. Keeping the skin hydrated - Keeping your skin cool by sitting under the fan or in an air-conditioned room is another way of preventing itchy skin rash from occurring.

4. Avoid strenuous physical activity - Keeping yourself away from the strenuous physical activity of any kind can help in preventing excessive sweating. If you have to indulge in strenuous workouts, keeping yourself hydrated is a must to avoid instances of dehydration.

Dear lybrate-user, Do as follows: 1. Hadjod capsule (Himalaya company)- 1 capsule twice daily 30 minutes after food with lukewarm milk. 2. Ksheer bala 101 oil softgel capsule (Kottakal ayurveda company) - 1 capsule twice daily with lukewarm water 30 minutes before food. 3. Ostranil oil (Salveo Company) - massage twice daily on painful joint followed with hot water fomentation with towel. Avoid long time standing and folding of knees. Thanks

Hello you have to need 7-10 physiotherapy session for cervical due to stiffness of cervical muscle it cause headaches. You kneed swd for 12 mints, ift for 15 mints. Cervical rom exercises. In home you take some hot water bottle fermentation. For 15 mints and front of mirror you do neck exercises.

Urine sugar is NOT a reliable method of diagnosing or managing Diabetes. There are many non-diabetic people with normal blood sugars, but showing sugar in the urine. Conversely, there are diabetics with very high blood sugars but absolutely no sugar in the urine.
The best way of diagnosing diabetes is by doing FBS, 2 hour PPBS and HbA1c.
