First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised. * you can take medohar guggalu 1 tablet daily for quick weight loss but only under the guidance of ayurveda expert.

Dear lybrate user, cholesterol is naturally produced inside the body of every living animal. Human beings are no exception to that. But when we take mutton, chicken, yellow part of a boiled egg, ghee, butter etc we intake cholesterol from external source. This extra cholesterol from external sources increase the total cholesterol content of human body. You should always keep your cholesterol level within normal limits as high cholesterol serves as a precursor to various cardiac diseases. Avoid the aforesaid food. Walk at least 1 hour in a day without any interval. Also you can take homoeopathic mother tincture fucus vesiculosus q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water.

Best way to reduce fat is exercise and diet control. Take pranacharya medohar rasayn twice a day. Medohar guggul 2-2 twice a day. And pranacharya slim capsule 1-1 twice a day. Avoid junk food. Oily food. Fermented food. Alcohol consumption. Sugar. Milk products and sweets. Take oats and cereals more. And do pranayama early in the morning and walk for atleast 45 minutes a day. And do exercises. Do not sleep immediately after taking meal.

My lifestyle is sedentary and I work from home. Whole day I have to sit from 9-6 to do office work. I do not get time to do exercise and go out but still these days I have started some stretching and pranayam. Hence I have reduced my calorie intake and limit it to 800- 1200 calorie diet and I am a pure vegetarian. Will it help me to reduce my weight? Is this diet enough for me?

It depends, along with these calories are you also getting good amount of Minerals and vitamins too. Add 20 gm soaked pumpkin seeds (early morning), 4 soaked dry apricot (after 1 hour of breakfast, about 09: 30-10: 00 am), Fresh seasonal fruits (about 03: 30- 04: 00 pm, after 3 hours of lunch) and vegetable salad (with lunch and dinner. If you do stretching, do Suryanamaskar, start from 5 cycles and gradually increase the number. Will see faster results.

I suppose you are talking about delhi, the most polluted city and no rainfall this year. Temp. Is still 35-39 degrees and air is dry. Cooler can be used. One can use muslin/malmal dupattas/dhoties and wet them, spread them in a corner of room-works better than a humidifier available.

Hi. After 7 to 8 months you can join zym. Avoid fatty/ oily/ spicy meals. Take minerals/ protein/ vitamins rich meals for better recovery to health. You should be also checkup for thyroid profile because in more cases women get hypothyroidism and get over weight. Eat green veg. Soup, green veg. Whole grain foods. Dalia.

Get his thyroid profile done and see an endocrinologist. He needs to loose weight. To do that one has to persist with a drastic reduction in the intake of carbohydrates, (specially refined sugars) and fats, increase intake of proteins and increase the expenditure of energy by regular exercise. Starving ones self does not work for any length of time and three meals at regular times, eaten slowly is the best method. Avoid snacking between meals, have a good breakfast, moderate lunch and a light dinner. The foods to avoid are sugars, or anything that contains sugar and fat such as bakery products, ice creams, desserts, fried foods (like pranthe, pakore, puris) pizza and potatoes. Rice can be replaced with two chapattis made of multi grain atta. To fill your stomach one should take lots of fruits (papaya, apples, guava) and green vegetables (cucumber, ghia, laoki, teenda, and tori) and sprouted dal. Milk should be double toned. The protein intake should be increased by taking egg white, cooking should be in small amounts of olive / sunflower oil. Vegetarians can use soya bean dal, nutri nuggets and cottage cheese made from double tone milk. The best exercise is jogging or brisk walking for at least 45 minutes, five days a week.

In diabetes simple carbohydrate should be avoided like sugar, sugarcane etc. You can definately have complex carbohydrate and it is called fiber. You shold have fibre rich diet.

Eat frequently in every 2 hours and drink warm water. Have a banana first thing in the morning after 10 mins of waking up and always have dinner within 2 hrs of sunset. If sun sets at 6 pm, have dinner max by 8 pm. Dinners are mostly the reason of weight gain.

Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips.
