Sir, I have stopped eating bananas when I was of 2 years because at that time my mother made me eat banana in excess. I eruct and never ate again. But due to less weight dietitian recommend me to eat pair of banana with milk in the morning. But I hate the smell of bananas so instead I started taking banana shake in the evening. But after 30 minutes I had a severe back pain. I tried it for two days. But pain was too much to bear. So I stopped taking shake. I would like to know why my stomach is not digesting the shake. Can it be some problem?

Hi, no correlation to bananna and back pain. Some times gastritis, renal stones may radiates to back. R there any pain with bending or any leg pain. Pl contact general physican to rule out other causes. Take plenty of water and simple analgesic if pain is more. Tq.

Hello I am 19 years old I always have pain in my joints especially after I wake up in the morning.My knee it pains most of the times and gets worse during winters please help.

You are too young. These symptoms should not be ignored. Stiffness & pain in joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

I am unable to bear weight on my healed ankle fracture (fracture four years ago). Climbing stairs is a problem. I get pain inside my bone, sharp stabbing pain. This stabbing pain stays for a week or so with no movement and goes away after a week of rest but returns when I climb stairs (put weight on the ankle). Please advise.(The X-ray and MRI reports are normal).

Hello,you can take homoeopathic medicines 1.Arnica 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2.Symphytum Q ( 10 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and revert. Don't take medicines together keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines.

Hello, this numbness may be because of weakness of nerves. Take Hypericum 1X, 2 tabs twice daily with warm water. Five phos 6X , 5 tabs once daily. Take care.

Hi, your back pain n constipation may not b related. To gt rid off the pain I would like u to visit any McKenzie therapist in your area who wud do a complete assessment of the prob and wud provide u treatment for the same. Once u know d root cause solving the prob becomes easy and u can b completely cured. I generally teach my patients how to prevent further recurrent episodes and self management.

Rheumatoid arthritis has to be treated to keep it in check. You'll need to get it treated as in RA the knee osteoarthritis also increases

Applying cold compresses to the painful knee is one of the best and easiest ways to reduce pain and swelling. The cold will constrict the blood vessels, reducing blood flow to the affected area and thus reducing swelling. It will also give you relief from the pain. 1. Wrap a handful of ice cubes in a thin towel. 2. Apply the compress to the affected knee area for 10 to 20 minutes. 3. Do this two or three time daily until your pain is gone. A bag of frozen peas also works well as a cold compress. You can opt for alternating hot and cold compresses as well for chronic pains.

From your symptoms it looks like you have sciatica pain. To manage sciatica pain, you may find that certain positions and activities are more comfortable than others. The proper exercises from a physiotherapist will help reduce sciatic pain. The exercises recommended will depend on what's causing the sciatica. It's important to work with a specialist who has experience working with people with sciatica. It's also important to do the exercises exactly as directed. Here are some home treatments for sciatica which you can follow: -do not bend, lift, or sit in a soft, low chair; the pain will get worse. -try a cold pack to see if it helps the pain. If you don't have a cold pack, use a large bag of frozen vegetables; it makes a good first aid cold pack. -after the cold massages, try alternating with heat from hot bag. -you may feel better lying on your back on a firm surface with a pillow under knees. Another option is lying on side with a pillow between the knees to keep the back straight. Also, a recliner chair is helpful. -do activities one is able to tolerate. Best wishe.

As you are above 40 I would advice get a Mammography and ultrasound both breasts and axilla done to be sure there is no concern.

Pain And Tenderness In Bones Of The Hand - Factors That May Cause it!

There are 27 bones in the human hand. An injury to any one of them or a disease that affects the bones, tendons, muscles or blood vessels in the hand, are the most likely causes for pain in the hand and tenderness.

Some of the most common conditions that cause hand pain are:

  1. De Quervain's Tendinitis: Pain on and around the thumb is the characteristic sign of this condition. This pain may develop gradually or come on suddenly and can travel the length of the thumb and forearm. De Quervain's tendinitis is caused by the swelling of wrist tendons at the base of the thumb. Repetitive actions and overuse are the most common triggers for this condition.

  2. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: The symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome are felt mainly in the thumb, index finger and middle finger. This pain is often worse at night and is caused by the swelling of inflamed tendons at the base of the hand that puts pressure on the median nerve. This syndrome can make it very difficult for a person to grip objects.

  3. Fractures: The fracture can cause extreme pain along with stiffness, swelling and loss of movement. A fracture refers to the breaking of a bone and can be of many types including simple fractures, complex fractures, comminuted fractures and compound fractures. The type of fracture dictates the type of treatment required. Spraining a muscle in the hand is another leading cause of pain in the hands.

  4. Arthritis: This is one of the most common causes of pain in the hand that is related to ageing. Arthritis causes loss of cartilage that makes the movement of one bone against the other extremely painful. It may or may not also be accompanied by swelling. When it comes to the hand, arthritis affects the base of the thumb and middle or top joints of the fingers. Osteoarthritis may also cause bony nodules to be formed on the fingers.

  5. Trigger Finger: This condition is also known as stenosing tenosynovitis. This condition locks the fingers or thumb in a bent position. This condition is triggered by the flexor tendons getting irritated. These tendons control the movements of the thumb and fingers. As the tendon is inflamed, the sheath that surrounds the tendons may also thicken and nodules may form of the affected tendons. People suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, gout and diabetes are at a high risk of suffering from this condition. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an orthopedist.

Hot fomentation x twice daily. Neck exercises. Neck stretching. Postural correction. Shoulder shrugs. Core strengthening exercises. Take frequent breaks at work use cervical pillow. Use back support. Self massage the back of neck.

It is because of exessecive exertion of your lower limbs. make it step by step like start from 1 km to 5 km so that your knees get use to it and so the pain will persist. apply some icepack therapy to knees. exercises like heel slides, static and dynamic quads. Revert back for any queries take care
