Clean the area with plain water. Avoid powder, oil. Keep hair dry, open (without cap, scarf). Use herbal shampoo for head bath.

With so many symptoms it is better to show a neuro pediatrician at least once. And have to talk frankly about long term effect of it. Schooling, mental behaviour is also to be talked out. Need not to be visit frequently to other Dr. Once you are satisfied.

I've some questions in my mind regarding my wife and my daughter's health. My only daughter, aged 12 Yrs+ right now and she is suffering from Allergetic Childhood Bronchial Asthama since at the age of 04 Yrs. Frequently she suffers in cold and cough. Everytime when our doctor's advised for some radiological and pathological investigations, it's doesn't reveals any abnormality in the report. What should i do next to free herself from this problem? Kindly help me Sir. I am a Radiographer Technician by profession and working in a reputed Diagnostic Centre in Kolkata since for the last 15 Yrs.

MD PULMONARY, DTCD
Pulmonologist, Faridabad
In a case of diagnosed childhood asthma repeated xray and pathological tests are not advisable. Try to assess severity of asthma by PFT/PEAK FLOW RATE. She should take inhaled budamate 200 twice/day through spacer. There very good chest/respiratory centre at Kolkata, where you can follow her treatment. A growing child may go into remmission and may remain asymtomatic for long.

My baby is 3 months now but he is not drinking my wife milk properly so tell me why.
Hello,. There could be two reasons. 1. Either the milk production is insufficient. 2. The baby isn't latching on to the breasts correctly. Please sort out the above two.

My newborn son is 12 days old and he rarely burps after breast feeding and spills milk sometimes. I am really worried if its fine. He also has jaundice (8.9 when last checked on 8th day) and doc has said it will go on its own on 20th day. Shall I be avoiding certain foods or my daily massage that my midwife gives? Doc has also suggested not to apply nothing on his skin but he is having little pimples on his face.

Dear mother, I think you are the first time motherand a very observant and caring too. But as per your concerns as fa ras jaundice is concerened it will slowly go away but you didnot specify the weight and wetherher the baby was born ontime or before time. Spilling milk sometimes is fine, hope the child is not being fed too frequently. Clean the face of your baby regularly with water and dab it dry. No need to avoid your routine food. Hope this satisfies your query. Any further question you are welcome.

Hi, My son is 3.5 years old, He does not like fruit & the food which he eats is also less, Last time I consulted with Doctor, they said stop the Milk, which we have reduced. His motion are also hard & the doctor said this is because of milk. Last week I started giving him Yakult which he liked. Does this will help get rid of constipation.

I am not aware what is yakuly. However for constipated child milk and refined flour has to be avoided. Curd or buttermilk can be milk substitute. If not fruit is okay as nothing can be force feed.

You can gradually start solid foods one after the other and give calcium supplementation. But better to continue milk for some more time.

It's better to be safe. So avoid breast feeding. Even otherwise you need to stop breast feeding as your child needs more nutrition to grow. Consult your doctor and follow the instructions. Keep reviewing your health as well as the growth (milestones) of your child. You can come back with more details (health reports) about your health so that it becomes easy to know the case.
