Being a dietitian my views: there is no single diet chart for everyone. To plan a specific diet we do collect lot of information like height, weight, food frequency, digestive history, medical history, likes, dislike, lifestyle, eating habits. Remember one thing to follow a diet it should be personalized according to person's body type and not generalized. Starting with there is no pills or powder or shake which can help you to lose weight in a healthy way. To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.

Is it safe to use nasal sprays for blocked nose like otrivin, nasivion, meta spray, azeelfo etc Regularly.

Otrivin and nasivion are dangerous if used for more than a week. Metaspray is ok coz it's a very small dose of steroid.

Hi, you should do daily work out of 30 minutes 5 days in a week drink lots of water avoid all junk, fatty,deep fried, soft drinks etc take healthy foods and get adequate amount of sleep daily.

Hi. It's normal to loose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, Vitamin B12, iron, zinc and Omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin) , different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! Cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use Rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you FIT and YOUNG!! Medication: Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa Tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica Hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, take Follihair tablets (multivitamin) - 1 tab. daily once for 1 month. Investigations advised: Get your blood tested for (empty stomach) - CBC, S. Iron, S. Folic acid, S. Ferritin, S. Calcium, S. Vitamin D3, S. Vitamin B12. If there is any family history of Thyroid dysfunction, get Thyroid function test done as well.

the headeche could be due to error of refraction of vision of eyes. get eyes tested by a eye specialist. for the time being you can have a tab of paracetamol or calpol.

Hi 1. Use amla (gooseberry) juice on scalp and also to drink. 2. Mix curry leaves with coconut oil and heat up and let it cool. Massage scalp with this oil. 3. Apply hair packs like Egg with Yogurt, Banana. 4. Have lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits rich in Vitamin C. 5. Protein is the most important element for maintaining hair health. Make sure your diet in protein rich sources like eggs, fish, chicken, soyabean, sprouts, pulses and grains 6. Zinc, iron & copper promote healthy hair. 1. Oats

Oats is an age-old remedy used to quit smoking. It is one of the best home remedies to stop smoking. Take a tablespoon of ground oats and mix it in 2 cups of boiled water. Leave it for a night, and then, boil it the next morning for about 10 minutes. Drink it after every meal. Avoid taking it at night. Oats helps to flush out the harmful toxins from the body while lowering the craving for smoking. It also helps in easing the withdrawal symptoms.

2. Water

Drinking plenty of water is the ultimate remedy to treat the habit of smoking. Water will help in detoxifying the body. Whenever you feel the urge to smoke, drink a glass of water. This will not only decrease the craving but will also reduce the withdrawal symptoms.

3. Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper is also one of the best natural remedies to stop smoking. Include the spice in your diet or mix a few pinches in a glass of water. Cayenne pepper helps in desensitizing the respiratory system to all the addictive things, such as tobacco and nicotine. It also helps to lessen the craving for smoking.

4. Ginger

7. Radish

This is another reliable home remedy to quit smoking. Grate a radish and take out its juice. Mix some honey in it, and drink it at least 2 times a day.

8. Licorice Stick

One of the most opted natural remedies to refrain oneself from smoking is chewing a licorice stick whenever you feel the urge to smoke. This is a good substitute of a cigarette.

 

9. Grape Seed Extract

10. Grape Juice

11. St. John’s Wort

This herb is useful in reducing the urge to smoke. It has been studied that 450 mg of St. John’s Wort capsule, if taken twice a day, will help to alleviate the habit of smoking.

12. Hyssop

Hyssop can be taken to lessen the smoke withdrawal symptoms, such as anxiety and hysteria. It is also useful in clearing out the lung congestion.

13. Ginseng

Hi, your height can grow till 25 years of age. If you haven't yet reached the age, you may try the following remedies - 1. Take flax seed powder - 1 tablespoon after lunch and dinner with warm water. 2. Take lakshadi guggul - 2 tablets, twice a day. 3. Take ashwgandha churna - 1 tablespoon with milk at 6.30 pm. Also follow these exercises daily - 1. Swimming 2. Skipping 3. Pull-ups 4. Suryanamaskar.

Eat less calories than you spend. Leafy vegetables, daliya, khichdi, chhachh (buttermilk) to be taken as a general course. Hit water drink. Boil water with ginger. Take 1 cup. Mix 1 cup sugarless cranberry juice. Put 1 tsp pure honey. Take 6-7 times a day before food. In the morning only chew 3-4 cloves of garlic with this liquid. Report after a month.
