Weight gain is muscle gain and not fat gain. In your condition your energy requirement is very high so whatever you eat is used as a source of energy and you do not make muscle. To gain muscles you will have to eat at least 6 meals (high calorie) in a day at a regular interval with a proper ratio of proteins and carbohydrates. Proteins will help you gain body mass while carbohydrates will help you give energy. Protein foods are eggs, fish, chicken, milk and milk products, meat and dals. Carbohydrate foods are roti and rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes. You have to eat vegetables and fuits and use healthy and good fats for cooking like ghee, cold pressed mustrad or til oil. You will also have to do some weight training exercise to help you build mass into the body. Also drink enough water to keep you hydrated.

PORES TREATMENT 1.Wash your face before you go to bed each night. Going to bed wearing still wearing makeup, as well as any dirt and debris that may have collected on your face during the day, is a sure way to clog your pores. If your pores routinely look large, this could be part of the problem. Get into the habit of cleansing your face each and every night so your pores will be less likely to get clogged. Use warm water, rather than hot or cold, so your skin will be less likely to get irritated. Pat your face dry with a soft towel. 2. Use a cleanser that doesn't irritate your skin. Many cleansers contain harsh ingredients that cause dry, irritated skin. When your pores are irritated, they look wider and more "open." In order to keep them closed, it's best to use a gentle cleanser that washes away dirt without causing your skin to dry out.( PREFERABLY USE CLEANSING MILK ( BAKSON) Choose a cleanser that's sulfate free. Sulfates are harsh cleansers that can strip the skin of its natural oils and leave it dry and itchy. Avoid using a cleanser with scrubbing beads on a daily basis. The beads could be irritating to your skin, and should only be used sparingly. 3. Try the oil cleansing method. It's becoming increasingly popular to replace soap with oil as a facial cleanser. It might sound counterintuitive to use oil to wash your face, but it's actually quite effective. The oil binds with your skin's natural oils and gently washes away dirt, sweat, and makeup without the need for harsh chemicals. Just smooth it over your skin and use a wet washcloth to wipe it off using a circular motion. Here are a few oil combinations to try out: For combination skin: Mix 1/2 teaspoon castor oil and 2 teaspoons olive oil. For dry skin: Mix 1/4 teaspoon castor oil and 2 teaspoons coconut or olive oil. 4. Splash your face with water in the morning. After getting a good night's sleep, it feels refreshing to splash your face with water. Since you don't wake up wearing makeup, there's no need to wash your face using a cleanser; in fact, it's better for your skin to give it a break and just use water. Pat your face dry with a soft towel. 5. Exfoliate every few days. Dead skin builds up on the surface of your skin, mixes with sweat and dirt, and ends up clogging pores. Exfoliating your skin regularly will prevent your pores from getting clogged so quickly. The result will be closed, small-looking pores as opposed to clogged pores that look big and open. One of the best ways to exfoliate is by simply using a washcloth. Wet your face and scrub it gently using circular motions. ( Preferably USE APRICOT SCRUB ( BAKSON) Facial scrubs are also good. Try a mixture of ground almonds and honey. 6. UNCLOGGING PORES (A) Do a steam treatment. This is a great way to open your pores so you can get rid of the small plugs of dead skin and dirt that are making them appear large and open. Heat a small pot of water until it begins to steam, then hold your face over it and drape a towel over your head. Let the steam bathe your face for three to five minutes, then rinse your face with cool water. Steaming your face opens up your pores, allowing them to become unclogged. Rinsing afterward gets rid of the debris, leaving your pores fresh and clean. Use cool water to close your pores. (B) Use a MUD PACK. MUD is a natural element that draws impurities out of the skin as it dries. When you do a MUD mask, dry mud is mixed with water to form a paste, which you smooth over your face. Let it dry completely, then rinse it away with cool water. • Many Mud packs are avaliable in stores but I will prefer MUD PACK ( BAKSON) 7.TONING AND MOISTURISING (A) Always rinse and tone when you're finished cleansing. Whether you steam or use a mask, always remember to rinse away the dirt when you're finished. Follow up by using a toner on your face. Toner helps restore your skin's pH balance after cleansing, giving it a youthful, glowing appearance and helping to close pores. (B) Avoid toners with chemicals that could inflame your skin. Beauty supply stores carry many different toners. Look for one that works with your skin type, but avoid toners with excess chemicals, perfumes, and dyes that could irritate or dry out your skin. These toners will do more harm than good, and your pores will end up looking larger instead of smaller. Avoid toners that contain alcohol, which can dry out the skin. Avoid toners that contain glycerin and fragrances, since these can cause allergic reactions. (C) Try apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is made from fermented apples, and is a gentle, natural toner for any type of skin. Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of water, then use a cotton ball to apply it to your skin after rinsing. Let your skin dry, then moisturize it. (D) Try a honey mask to tone your skin. Plain, raw honey is an excellent toner for skin. Simply spread some on your face and let it sit for about ten minutes, then rinse it away with warm water. Your pores will tighten up and your face will feel fresh and youthful. (E) Finish your routine by moisturizing. Using a good face moisturizer( ALOVERA CREAM ( BAKSON) is key to keeping your pores closed, since dry skin can become irritated and lead to large-looking pores. Chose an alcohol-free moisturizer that doesn't contain perfumes and excess chemicals so you make sure you don't irritate your skin.

DEAR LYBRATE USER...A) apply paste of fresh lemon juice and fine powder of turmeric on pimples,two times in a day...B) take 30 ml of aloe vera juice and 30 ml of triphala juice ,at night before sleep...C) take 10 gm of black cumin seeds along with 10 gm of jiggery after meals…D) take 2-2 tablets of chandraprabha vati and aarogyavardhini rasa after meals...Do all these things for 15 days ..it gives you good result..consult to me for further suggestions..THANKS

Hello Lybrate user U use Cetaphil based products (cleanser and moisturiser). These are usually easily available. Other than this you can use AHA glow face wash twice daily and 10% Aziderm cream at night for pimple marks if this is available. For further treatment consult a Dermatologist.

Why do legs itch after shaving?

Itchy legs after shaving is a common dilemma for women. Painful scratching can put even the most rational woman into a fit of frustration and tears. Itchy legs after shaving can happen for a few reasons, one being dry skin. Sometimes, a rash may even appear after shaving. There are, however, many different ways and techniques to treat and prevent this irritating issue.

Causes

There are a few causes for itchy skin and rashes after shaving legs. These causes can be your own skin issues and some are caused directly from shaving.

Dry skin

If you already have dry skin, pressing any kind of object against your skin can cause irritation. This can include doing something as simple as drying off with a towel after showering.

Skin sensitivity

People with sensitive skin are bothered by any possible irritant. Rashes after shaving legs are a common problem for people with sensitive skin.

Dull razors

Using a dull razor can cause you to press too hard on your skin while shaving, causing legs to be itchy and possibly causing a rash. Dull razors simply do not work as you need them to. Pushing harder to try

And make them work better will only cause yourself discomfort and you will most likely still not get the close shave you are looking for.

Razor burn

Using a dull razor, shaving too close to the skin, and pressing a razor too hard to the skin will cause razor burn. This painful issue can also be caused by dry shaving and cold shaving.

Scratching

Itchy legs after shaving and rash after shaving legs will make you naturally want to scratch. Unfortunately, although this may soothe the flare-up at that present moment, scratching will only make legs itch worse.

Treatments

There are numerous methods of how to stop itching after shaving legs. There are many over-the-counter treatments, as well as natural treatments.

Over-the-counter treatments

Lotions, creams and sprays containing the following ingredients can help soothe itchy legs after shaving:



Camphor


Menthol


Phenol


Pramoxine


Diphenhydramine


Benzocaine (or any topical 'caine')



Anti-itch creams which contain 1% hydrocortisone cream can also be beneficial in soothing the itch; especially when there is a rash on legs after shaving.

Bag balm, originally created to soothe the teets on cows that are nursing or being milked, this product has long been the staple in many homes as a natural treatment for dry and irritated skin.

Natural treatments

Any of the following naturally found items can help with itchy legs after shaving, including itchy legs that have developed a rash. These natural soothers can be used in a lotion, cream, spray, or simply by themselves.



Aloe is a natural soother used for many skin irritations, including sunburn. Juice from aloe can be applied directly from the plant source.


Oatmeal is, by far, one of the best natural treatments for how to stop itching after shaving legs. Taking an oatmeal bath will help soothe any itch or rash, including hives from an allergic reaction. Simply use a knee high stocking, fill with oatmeal, and use as a body pouf within the bath waters. Oatmeal will not only soothe irritated skin but also intensely moisturize, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth.


Vitamin e oil is usually found in lotions (but can also be found in drops at your local health food or beauty facility). Vitamin e oil is a natural moisturizer and will soothe irritated and dry skin fairly quickly.


Lavender will not only soothe the skin but also the senses. Use in a bath to alleviate itch and pain, and also to de-stress. Soothe away pain and stress in a lavender bath.


Tea tree oil has long been used as a natural antiseptic. Used most often for skin issues such as acne, dandruff, and eczema, tea tree oil will balance skin and ease irritation.


Witch hazel is a natural astringent; balances and tones skin after using irritating products, including shaving products and soaps.


Prevention

There are many techniques in the prevention of itchy legs after shaving. These techniques are applied both before, during and after shaving.

Use warm (not hot) water to shave legs in. Hot water depletes moisture from the skin. Warm water will help soften hairs and softer hairs allow for a smoother shave.

Be sure to exfoliate before and after shaving.


Exfoliate before shaving to align hairs for a more even shave and to remove dead skin for a closer shave.


Exfoliate after shaving to unclog any products used for shaving. Exfoliating after shaving also helps prevent ingrown hairs.


Always use shaving creams or products when shaving in order to hydrate skin. Never use water alone. Although you can use soap, it is not recommended as it can dry skin out. If you like the feel of soap for shaving, try goat milk soap which actually neutralizes the ph in your skin. If you have sensitive skin, try sensitive shaving products that contain aloe. Leave shaving cream on your legs for approximately three minutes to further soften hairs.


Shave in the direction of your hair growth. If you shave hairs against the grain, irritation and bumps can occur.


Shave lightly with a sharp razor. Do not use dull razors! dull razors and added pressure while shaving will cause irritation and most likely a rash.


After shaving and exfoliation, rinse legs with cool water. This will allow pores to close, preventing any outside irritants from entering your skin. After rinsing with cold water, pat legs dry. Do not rub. Rubbing opens pores and allows irritants in; and also strips away layers of new skin.


Pat legs with witch hazel to tone and neutralizes before using a lotion or cream. Use moisturizers that contain no perfumes, dyes or alcohol as these can dry out and further irritate skin. Try bag balm or a specialty after shave cream.

Hi. If your skin is really very oily, you can apply multani mitti on your face during winters, but reduce the frequency to once a week or may be twice, not more than that! Directions: Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off.

In August I woke up with very sharp pain and I had to go Emergency Room. They did CT scan and said I've 5mm kidney stone. Followed up with urologist who said without examining me that I probably passed kidney stone. After 1 week I had another sharp pain which I ended up taking very strong pain killer.

Dear just don't worry about the problem, it's a temporary and can be well treated. You as individual appears to be more sensitive with light and sound. I understand that you are much worried, fearful, scared, under fobia of any thing. You are man of high ambitions, anxiety and over work is leading to this problem. Lack of exercise, poor gastric state, may also be corrected by get physically tiered, full appetite full choicest food with good nutritive value, will help. Good counselling with family and friends to over come any fobia, sex life (if married) etc mild anti anxity drugs (not sedatives) will give you sound sleep. Ear plugs, black eye pads strip will also help, initially focus on stress free mind. I am sure of good result.

Dear, These are some instructions & methods for good sleep: • Frequent oil massage of head with oil relax your mind and enhances sleep. You can also do foot massage daily it destress you. * Eat food with a bowl of curd and after that off the light and go to sleep because after eating meal our brain become relax and sleep comes. • Drink a glass of milk at night daily. * Avoid the excess use of laptop and phone during night. They also cause sleeplessness. • Do not take caffeine, tea & alcohol in excess and these are stimulant,(activate) your brain result in lack of sleep. • Avoid drinking alcohol & smoking. • Do not take stress. What diet plan should I follow to decrease my weight by 5 kgs in a week? Please advise.
Reducing 5 kg per week is very difficult you need to have a diet and exercise plan based on your bmi, age & weight and sex, presence of any diseases. There are exercises specific for each part of body like hips, thighs or abdomen. There are matters to be discussed privately. Comprehensive exercise& diet plan based on whether vegetarian /non vegetarian can be given if you ask privately. May also need to do some tests. In brief, weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/4 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise.

Dates are basically high in sugars. If you consider it as a part of your carbohydrate exchange list, then definitely you can have it everyday. It also depends on the timing and the quantity and quality of the overall meal that you have on a particular day.
