But later after shifting to kerala my asthma problem started & used to take inhalers. Wen I was 17 I went for Ayurveda treatment with so much of restricted time table for certain food items for 2 year & I got better at initial stage I got all my allergy on my skin which so hard but doctor was saying thats to get cured with it. & only if I cure the inner allergy I would get better of asthma. I was so thin at that time & we I started curing asthma I also had put on my weight n was happy to get changed with better immunity. But suddenly I got a throat infection which really was under treated n he strictly advised not to take antibiotics which made it return frequently n I had developed a swelling on my leg n wen I went through a blood test I got aso titre so high. Which made me discontinue his treatment n I started taking pencillin400 n reduced d doses n now cured it completely but my asthma had returned severely. Then another blood test developed d problem of hypothyroidism. I started taking thyrox 150 n now d dose of 50. For this after 2 yrs I consulted a homeo doctor which was a nightmare for me as he said asthma is linked with thyroid problem n asked if I had any skin problem I said before I had he then prescribed some medicines n wid in a few days I got a bad itching on my fingers ful flare ups whole over my body oozing n weeping legs n hands I cant even sleep at night due to itching n that doctor was sounding angrily wen I saying my problem. Dear lybrate user. I do understand. Daily masturbation do not affect health. But you must understand masturbation consumes energy. If you masturbate frequently your energy will be drained and therefore you will be tired and lazy. In that sense, after the age of 20, masturbation can be done healthily up to three times a week. I suggest online sex counseling. Take care.

Piles And Fissure

Piles or hemorrhoids is the disease in which blood vesselsof anal canal protrude out of body. Usually they are painless but cause painless bleeding from anus. Main cause of piles is constipation. Fissure is also caused by dry stools. It is a cut into sides of anal canal is always accompanied by pain, severe pain. Treatment for both conditions is completely different. Piles usually requires surgery. Fissure is treated with mainly medicines and rarely requires surgery.

Both conditions occur because of dehydration, lack of fibres in diet. 3-4 litres of water and 200 grams of fruits everyday prevents both the conditions.
It's always better to treat both condition with a combination of allopathy and ayurvedic drugs.

Endometrial Scratching and IVF - Can it Help You Get Pregnant?

Endometrial Scratching and IVF - Can it Help You Get Pregnant?

In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a medical procedure followed for those women or couples suffering from infertility or for certain specific genetic problem. In the normal course, women or couples experience positive results within a few IVF cycles. However, in spite of reasonable pregnancy rates, some women may require few more cycles to achieve pregnancy. In such cases, in order to ensure a healthy pregnancy, the gynecologist may suggest the women undergo Endometrial Scratching before IVF.

Endometrium explained in brief:

The uterus is located in the pelvic region and it is in the size and shape of a pear. The inner cavity of the womb or uterus is protected by the tissue lining called endometrium, also called endometrial. The endometrium plays a significant role in supporting the pregnancy.

The enhanced success of achieving pregnancy:

The endometrial scratching procedure is a very simple one, which is resorted, so as to improve the results of IVF procedure. In this procedure, the gynecologist uses a very fine catheter and makes a small scratch on the endometrial lining. In fact, the scratch causes a kind of inflammatory reaction in the uterus. This inflammatory reaction induces the endometrium to be highly receptive to embryos during the successive menstrual cycle. This added receptivity enhances the success of pregnancy during the next menstrual cycle.

Considering the higher level of success in achieving pregnancy, the endometrial scratching procedure has gained popularity in the IVF procedure. However, some of the other issues related to endometrial scratching may be as follows:

  1. Endometrial scratching optimises the uterine lining and thereby, makes it easier to continue the embryo implanting procedure. Normally, before the endometrial scratching procedure, the gynecologist may suggest endometrial biopsy.
  2. The endometrial procedure is usually suggested for those women who had two or more unsuccessful IVF procedures, despite having good quality embryos. However, in some cases, depending on the health of the patient and various other factors, the gynecologist may suggest this endometrial scratching at the very first IVF procedure. This procedure can be availed either for fresh embryos of the couple or frozen embryos or for the donor egg.
  3. Although this is a part of a surgical procedure; endometrial scratching is very simple and painless and it is done without administering anesthesia. The procedure does not require any hospitalisation. In fact, the patient can go home soon after the procedure. Except for a few pain killers, this procedure does not require any extensive medication.

This is a safe and easy procedure. Neither does it lead to any side effects, nor is the procedure burdensome for your wallet. Many couples have been benefited by this endometrial scratching procedure. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist.

How to Recover from Pregnancy Blues?

How to Recover from Pregnancy Blues?

Mood swings right after the birth of a baby are quite common. Though these are the least severe variants of post-partum depression, it is crucial not to ignore the changes that are taking place in your body. Most women feel perplexed about what they can do to combat the sadness that has taken over after a joyous and happy event of welcoming a new bundle of joy into the family. About 70 to 80% of new mothers go through some kind of negative feelings and sudden bouts of depression and sadness after the birth of a child.

Symptoms of baby blues
Often, the symptoms of baby blues hit forcibly within four to five days of childbirth, though in some cases they can occur even earlier, depending on how the birthing process went. Some of the most common symptoms of post-partum anxiety include impatience and irritability, sudden urge for weeping, restlessness, fatigue and stress and a lack of concentration along with mood changes and insomnia, even when the baby is fast asleep.

How to combat the symptoms
You will be able to deal with this post-partum phase by taking a good care of yourself. You can take several measure to make yourself feel at ease, particularly when you are faced with the worst bouts of baby blues. You can speak with someone you trust regarding how you feel and what you feel like doing. It is crucial to maintain a well regulated diet, and though this is always important, having a baby increases the probability of causing mood swings.

You can also maintain a journal to note down your feelings and emotions, as it helps in venting out negative thoughts. You can go outside and enjoy some fresh air and enjoy the life that exists beyond your new routine of feeding, changing diapers and caring for the newborn. Sometimes, being exposed to a different view can make a great difference. You should not pressurise yourself for achieving perfection for the first few weeks. Slowly, things would fall in place and before you know it, you will have adjusted yourself to the new routine.

It is crucial to bear in mind that you are not alone with your thoughts and feelings as these things are faced by mothers across the world. But it is vital to note here that if your indications don’t seem to subside even after a few weeks, it can be a sign of a more serious health issue and you may need to be diagnosed by an expert.

My weight is 78 kg my height is 170 cm how to loss weight? daily walk can reduce my weight? please help me?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
My weight is 78 kg my height is 170 cm how to loss weight? daily walk can reduce my weight? please help me?
Walking will not help much. You have to burn calories by aerobic exercises. You need to have a diet and exercise plan based on your BMI, age & weight and sex, presence of any diseases. There are matters to be discussed privately. Comprehensive exercise& diet plan based on whether vegetarian /non vegetarian can be given if you ask privately. May also need to do some tests. Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs etc. to burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. as half of your diet. Then take ¼ of your total as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. should be just bare minimum. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests.
